Hail to the Queen of Sheeba !

Why does the misfortune also happens to good and fair people ?
What does determine that certain children are born with physical or mental problems ?
A lot of times the suffering or traumas without sense in this life have origin in the mistakes committed in past lives.
To discover how and what we were in past lives can be this key and karmic astrology talks about that.

There are excellent books of Martin Schulman:"Your Karmic Doorway","The Ascendant","The Moon's Nodes and Reincarnation" for instance.
Also Edgar Cayce's books.

The Vedic astrology also treats of karmic aspects .
I can recommend an excellent book of Dorothée Koechlin de Bizemont - "Karmic Astrology - Edgar Cayce's astrology and the knowledge of the past lives through the natal charts."

And you can also try Google...

Hi QueenofSheeba, here are a few items I picked up somewhere along the way.

Key Concepts of Karmic Astrology ---

1.Karmic astrology is a combination of Jungian concepts, Edgar Cayce's ideas, plus western and Hindu astrology

2.An astrologer charts for the physical time of birth, first breath, rather than the soul birth.

3.The sun sign at death in one life is the same as the sun sign of birth in another life (not necessarily consecutive)

4.It is a Jungian thesis that an unrecognized archetype has a destructive power such that one is "possessed" by it and forced to its fated goal.

5.Individuality arises from planetary experiences-Cayce.

6.Personality comes from earth incarnations-Cayce.

7.When the sun and mars are trine at birth then one has taken an immediate reincarnation after death.

8.Predictive periods are connected with our previous experiences, especially with others who have sojourned with us in the planetary heavens.

9.All planetary influences arise from our experience of them as souls between incarnations (the Buddhist "bardo").

10.All influences are subject to our "free will" which is what we have "chosen" as our fated lessons (free will is fate- seen from a longer cosmic perspective).

11.You go to the afterlife realm that corresponds to your last most intense thoughts and actions.

12.We astrologically (in sync with planetary alignments and our natal chart) experience the past through our present karmic relationships with others and certain events.

13.Major karmic events "reappear" for redemption through a timed vortex making the past present (proof of the relativity of time in hindu psychology and Einstein's theory). These events are timed in sync with one's natal north and south node of the moon and the planetary rulers of their signs (in hindu astrology called one's "karmic control planets").Transits of south node to natal north node and transits of north node to natal south node within one degree, trigger the events. Also major planets aspecting one's natal north -south node axis, within one degree, will also create a vacuum tube where the past re-appears!

14.Edgar Cayce's definition of karma: Meeting self.

15.Experiences between lives become manifested as dreams and hopes, while earthly sojourns find expression in the EMOTIONS of the body.

16.Cayce:"Man is a god in the making."

17.Our natal chart is a reflection of our planetary sojourns between lives through the juxtaposition of the planets.

18.A soul does not as a body live on another planet like on the earth rather the soul experiences the consciousness which is befitting the environ of the planet. -Cayce

19.The planetary archetypes are experienced as " phases of our conscience"-Cayce

20.The chart shows whether one has applied one's will constructively or destructively.

21.There are two kinds of Astrology a.) Egyptian based which is physically oriented and what the West has adopted b.) Older Persian based tradition of spiritual experience from which the hindu system has developed--according to Cayce the Persian system is much more accurate for soul growth.

22.Cayce: The soul's union with the physical body occurs within 24 hours AFTER its first breath (and may take as long as two years).

23.The time of birth is chosen by the soul. The soul waits for an appropriate body and circumstances to fulfill its destiny. The stars-plantets synchronistically reflect the consciousness of the entity entering the body.

24.In Tibetan Buddhist culture a chart is read by a monk after the birth of a child-- if the child's chart shows that the child is more advanced spiritually than the parents then the parents obey the child (in matters of personal destiny).

25.Jung : "Synchronicity is the law of correspondences, the acausal connecting principle of the universe."

26. Jung: the individual's first breath (horoscope) is his individual rythme in tune with the whole. 27.The strongest power in the destiny of an individual is the sun, then the planets that are on or near the ascendancy at the time of birth,i.e.,the planets in the first and twelth houses.

28.Evolution of self is holisitic, synchronistic, and cyclical rather than isolated and linear. YOU ARE LIVING YOUR PAST LIVES NOW.

29.Jung:"The main goal in the evolution of the soul is the realization of the unconscious." This affirms the hindu belief that it is when the unconscious becomes conscious that one becomes spiritually liberated. The two events that appear when one has integrated the unconscious and the conscious are: First, No more dreaming, because dreams are the language of the unconscious, and secondly, One no longer needs much sleep because there are no emotional blockages (all seven chakras are open) therefore one's energy is constantly being re-generated.

30.As souls we go into the afterlife to the planetary dimension which we have earned or merited and then reincarnate to apply or misapply what we have learned there. At our rebirth, the planets will be positioned in such a way as to RE-PRESENT these planetary sojourns symbolically as opporunities and challenges for soul growth. the word planet means: plane of consciousness. All is conciousness but there are different levels or plane.

31.Those born with sun in Gemini are often quick returns- accounting for their dual personalities.

32.After death there is a period of unconsciousness, the duration of which is governed by the spiritual development of the entity. - Cayce.

33.In Buddhist thought, Jupiter and Mercury show opportunities for "grace", i.e., opportunities to eliminate karmic debt.

34.Both Jung and Freud believed that there were no such things as accidents. Instead they taught that accidents were accumulated stress (usually anger) that demanded expression--and that if the person who had the "accident" was more conscious (not in denial) and had expressed the anger gradually --that energy would have never needed sudden release.

35.Cayce:"The purpose of earth life is to BALANCE the emotions."This is what the buddhists call "the middle path". And emotion means E-motion,i.e., energy in motion.

36.The only inheritance that we carry into the afterlife are our emotions. We do not carry over our possessions, our loved ones, nor our accomplishments--only our emotional make-up, which is our sense of self.

37.In Hindu thought, the most important lesson in life is SELF-ACCEPTANCE. Hindus talk about one's Higher Self and one's lower self. The Higher Self is our connection with God or the Cosmic Forces, our lower self is our selfish ego. There is, however, such a thing as a "healthy ego". One must develop a healthy ego before one can sacrifice it to his/her Higher Self. This is considered not just death of the old self (what St. Paul talked about) but integration of both. If on earth, you must function on some ego level.

38.The reason why the West is the capital of "standardization" is because of their belief in only one lifetime. If one only lives once, then there is less room for mistakes. One must be successful, be happily married, have college degrees, have a big house with 2.2 kids, etc. The hindu idea that one's main life lesson may be to experience failure and learn from that spiritual lesson is reprehensible if one accepts only one lifetime. There simply is NO TIME to screw around like that. Therefore the one lifetime scenario caters to harsh judgments. It also accounts for the fast pace of life in the West--we simply must accomplish as much as possible before we die.

39.We choose our parents ( the Buddhist "bardo".) As a result we inherit their physical dis-eases AND their emotional dis-eases.

40.Buddhist psychology accepts the ideas that we all have "multiple personalities" through lifetimes and in the present (ultimately there is no such thing as TIME). The average person appears to be "at one" only because he/she has a good stage director. We all lose it at times, and we all have heard the statement that " that is not really me, I don't know what came over me". It was you! Another personality type that has not been integrated, instead remains unconscious. The person with multiple personality disorder has lost his/her stage director.Enlightenment comes when we integrate ALL the personalities.Just before Buddha's enlightenment, he re-membered all his past lives (personalities) and to re-member is to consciously integrate them!

41. All spritual truth can be summarized into two ancient wise sayings etched on the temple gates at Delphi: a.) KNOW THYSELF. Which also means to be true to your self. b.) IN ALL THINGS PRACTICE MODERATION.

42. The last prayer that Jesus spoke was:" It is my prayer that you may know that You are one with the Father AS I am one with the Father". He was crucified because of this supposed blasphemy--making man equal to God. Jesus also quoted the Psalms that got him into trouble with the Pharisees: "Know ye not that ye are gods" The operative word is KNOW (Consciousness). It appears in both of these statements. To know thyself is to re-member your kinship with "God" or the cosmic forces! Jesus also prophesied that one day those who truly know themselves would do greater miracles than he. The story of the "little engine that could " taught that we can never accomplish anything unless we believe it is possible.

43.Earth life can be likened to: a school, a hospital (esp. the emergency ward), a boot camp of the universe,a pressure cooker, a compression chamber, etc.. The ancients' idea is that the reason life on earth is so difficult is because we are forced to grow up quicker, because of the 3 dimensions that Cayce described: space, time and PATIENCE. George Bernard Shaw stated that:"There is definitely life on other planets because this is the cosmic insane asylum!"

44. It is our unconsious that controls us, not our conscious mind. Western psychologists estimate that only 5-10% is conscious.

45. According to Erich Fromm, psychological maturity can be stratified 3 ways: The great majority of people are operating on the conformist- herd instinct level, approximately 85%. Only 10% of any given population have the courage to be non-conformists. And only 2% of the general population ever mature to the level of individuation--where one de-programs his/her social role playing and becomes their true self (and this usually doesn't begin to happen until one's 40 years of age).

46.Pay attention to patterns (consistent behavior) . The patterns teach us about our self. This is basic psychology 101. Even astrological symbolism in a chart will show up as planetary patterns--emotional-spiritual patterns symbolized as planets (planes of consciousness).

47. Cayce: Spirituality is emotions and attitudes. It is not religion. Religion may help or hinder emotional-attitudinal character development. One can be very spiritual and have no religious belief system.

48.Two spiritual psychologists, Gurdjioff and Ouspensky, have found in their research that one grows in consciousness only through suffering. That was Buddha's first discovery after enlightenment : "Life is Suffering". Are we so dense that we NEED "cosmic shock therapy"? The Quakers teach that there are two ways to grow spiritually: suffering and discipline. Some would argue that discipline is a form of suffering .Many spiritual traditions have called the earth plane a" valley of sorrow". Suffering must be understood within the context of TIME. It has been said that life is a series of losses. And it is--precisely because we are in the limited field of time and space--we eventually loose everything through death either gradually or suddenly or both. That is why Buddhism developed the next most logical assumption: we can only overcome time and space losses through detachment.

49. One's natal chart is a "cosmic snapshot" of the planets and their geometric relationship to each other AT the time of birth and AT the place of birth. With your chart, you see how the heavens would have looked if you could have seen them all at your place and time of birth (space-time). Since we can not see all the far-flung planets-- it looks more like a blueprint than a photograph.

50.Jung: Where the unconscious is denied it causes problems-complexes, accidents, etc.

51.We live in different historical layers. That is why we can say that we are living our past lives now. Astrology shows that time is very relative and that the past can re-appear.The difference between Eastern religion-philosophy and Western religion-philosophy is in their perception of TIME. It can be simplistically described as the difference between Newtonian physics and Quantum physics. Buddhist monks have said over a thousand years ago that there is no such thing as time and space. Westerners thought these buddhists were eating some good mushrooms. Then in the 1970's Quatum physics took shape.

52.There is NO BLAME where there is understanding.

53.Only that which relates to me is real. In other words, everything starts with the self. One's understanding of others and "God" is in direct proportion to one's understanding of SELF.We can only relate to the world through the self. And it is our concept of self that we carry over into the afterlife.

54.Our unconscious can be our best friend or our worst enemy.

55.The forces of light will not make you do anything.

56.Humility is the last virtue we learn--because it is the end of ego, no self. "As you weave and spin your spell, Three fold return the tale will tell."

quote:
Karmic Astrology
Think of your Karmic Chart as the negative and the Natal Chart as the picture. The Natal Chart represents the soul level birthed into matter. The Karmic Chart is the unseen idea, your individual nature, and your own soul. A natal chart is calculated for one's birth time, birthplace, and birth date. It is the map of your life. The Karmic Chart however underlies the Natal. This chart is the sum total of your soul's progress at it's current stage of development. The Karmic chart reflects our prior lives, and the many personalities and experiences that have shaped our soul's progress up to now. The Karmic chart is our reason for being and it reflects previous lives. It is thousands of years old.

The ascendant is the over-all mission in this lifetime for (soul growth). Its the influence you have on your present lifetime to achieve your soul's growth. If you achieve the message, it will create inner peace. When you work with the ascendant there is harmony. Good health can be achieved by expressing this energy (peace within).
The second house shows the personality of our past life. This house shows our spiritual possessions, and planets placed here indicate knowledge that we brought with us.
The third house represents your thinking and intuition. How you communicated in past lives. The sign on the cusp tells how you communicated in these past lives.
The fourth house represents your earth link, and who you are on the earth plane. This house represents how your soul views the earth as its home.
The basis of the fifth house is the direction of your emotional self. The sign here shows how to balance your emotions. This house also shows our karmic ties with our children. It shows how to handle the connection with children, yours and others. The fifth house also shows how you express the love principle.
The sixth house indicates the astral source of illness or disease. It represents the basic origin in this life. What we do to cause the illness, the inhibition of the soul and the disharmony in the aura. Planets here can show what you brought with you.
The seventh house represents what we owe other people, and what we owe our partner. If you're having trouble with the ascendant, you want to use the principles of the sign on the decedent to balance. By applying the energies of this house, you have the ability to achieve your karmic mission as it balances you out. The people of this sign can also help you to achieve your karmic mission.
The eighth house represents the occult and any planets here shows your ability to use your psychic powers to solve problems. If there are any retrograde planets here, it can show psychic attacks.
The ninth house indicates our connection to the god consciousness and the sign will show how we attempt to reach the god consciousness.
The tenth house represents our earth mission, and how we influence our environment. You must look to this house cusp to see what you can do to accomplish your earthly mission.
The eleventh house shows you the kind of friends you attract by the sign on the cusp. These are the people you need to work with to accomplish your karmic mission.
The 12th house represents your next incarnation. You must read the characteristics of the sign for clues. Planets may indicate that you have locked yourself into the mission until you have accomplished your goals.
Retrogrades are a continuation of what you have done before. Conjunctions are where you have earned the right to project your will. Squares will make you work harder. Trines and sextiles show something that is being developed for your benefit. A Quincunx calls for you doing it perfectly.

So, I'm confused- are we supposed to supress our emotions and be perfect composure, or do we acknowledge our emotions and indulge them?

Hi All, glad you enjoyed the Karma stuff. It has always been one of my favorite subjects.

Queen, regarding the emotions, it is not healthy to suppress them. Depending on which emotion you are referring to, it is best to feel them and release them. Let it go and gain balance. Always harder done than said. I know, I should have said "easier said than done". You mentioned composure, are you thinking of the emotion of rage? If so, I always say a good old loud holler can release a lot of pent up frustration and release the rage. If you ever listened to Linda's Lost Tape, she speaks about making loud noises to release the pent up energy. Sometimes emotions of love are expressed via writing and poetry, a very good release. To me, the emotion of hate is the hardest, as I rarely ever hate anyone, although hating ones actions is something else, and dealing with that emotion, I look at the spark of soul in the person and focus on the good stuff. Not always easy, but a good release. Indulge an emotion? Not to me, I think recognising it and releasing it in a healthy way is better. Have you read any Edgar Cayce? He speaks a lot of attitudes and emotions.

Donna thanks for that...
One question to ask though...
You wrote 'The last prayer that Jesus spoke was "It is my prayer that you may know that you are one with the Father AS I am one with the Father". He was crucified because of these supposed blasphemy-- making man equal to God.
Does that mean that it was necessary for Jesus to be killed by man because in order for man to be made equal in God, as God takes life of man then man must take life of God... so that it may be that God gives life of man and man gives life of God?
I am confused as to why it had to be so that Jesus died to take away sin... was it his own sin only as his sins of the world or literally to save the world from sin?

Hi Quinnie,

I think the operative word is supposed blasphemy. The times during Jesus were politically charged. He was teaching spirituality opposed to the current idealogies.

I don't think it was necessary for him to be killed to take away sin. That is simply church dogma and based on control and fear manipulations to keep the membership strong. I think they took it from karmic teachings of "self meeting self" and replaced it with the word sin. Only each of us, as individuals can attain our own spiritual growth by meeting up with things we did in previous incarnations. I don't believe in sin in the sense that organized religion has made it. In fact, I don't even like the word "sin". I prefer to see it as past life mistakes that we get to repeat until we learn the lesson necessary to undertand why we shouldn't do certain things and not repeat them again. And Cayce in his sleep trance indicated that Jesus had incarnated many times and was aware of who he had been and was teaching that it is possible to overcome past life mistakes and rejoin our Creative Source in purity of soul.

And that is where at-one-ment comes in, not atonement, but truly at one with oneself in learning to live with compassion and love and not to do to anyone that which one wouldn't want done to one's self.

So, I believe Jesus basically was an advanced soul who was able to show how he overcame his past mistakes to help others to overcome theirs by his lessons. Not to save the world from sin, as that is church based dogma, but to help his fellow beings to overcome karma and understand it. Enlightenment.

Donna thanks for that enlightenment and I totally agree with ya but I'm still not 100% clear... Did Jesus actually physically die? Or was it just the death of the ego?
Was he physically nailed to the cross or did that just represent something.
One of the books I was reading says that Jesus was still alive after the apostles received the HOLY SPIRIT and went about their missonary. It also said that Joseph, Jesus's father was called 'The Holy Spirit' by members of his sect.
What do u think?
Is the truth really out there?

I've been thinking a lot about it this year. Automatic, bad reactions from people, struggles in my life. Struggles in others' lives, too. Maybe we all have business we failed to take care of in past lives, and now those same problems are being dredged up and flung in our face. We can either run away, repeat the same mistakes, become worse, or solve them.
Sometimes we have to prove to people that we aren't going to make the same mistakes again, no matter the hardship or opposition.
