Hey ya'll Cancers or people with experience dealing with people with heavy Cancerian energy -

How can I tell a really nice Cancer Sun, Cancer Moon, Virgo Rising guy that I'm, uh, not interested in him the same way he is in me without hurting him?
I repeat, he seems gruff, etc., but he's more sensitive then even my Piscean self; and I have warm feelings for him - we have great conversations and bug each other about our conflicting political positions but I reeeaaally don't want to move it to where he wants to...BUT I want to be able to still stay close friends.

help.

Corri, with meagre experience

Proxie, In my experience, Cancer men are much, much thougher than they seem like on the surface. Believe me, I know them..dad's Cancer with Cancer rising, I had two very serious love affairs with Cancer Sun/Scorpio Moon (the guys were born the same day)...Tell him the same lie as you'd tell any man: You're lesbian/madly in love with someone else/are moving to Hollywood soon/have a hot e-mail affair/are secretly engaged to a man who's currently in Burkina Faso etc.etc.
I agree, it's worth keeping the friendship with this man..Think about the MEALS he'll cook you!

Hiya Prox,

Cancer or no Cancer how about the truth and nothing but the truth? If he doesn't dig that he will be no real friend anyway. The truth for me is just the only possible way always. Just the way you normally express yourself I would say. It is you he likes so it is you he gets right!? And really I believe also Cancer humans really like to hear the plain truth and not much a beautiful disguise or other form of the truth just because they 'seem' so sensitive. If some can't live with the truth there must be a big lesson there.
Good luck and eeeh...do tell him about your warm feelings though! Because that's the truth as well!

Go girl! Truth kicks ass!

SP & Mercy - I don't think I could lie to him if I wanted to; you know Cancerians - he already knows my whole life story You're right, though - he is a wonderful cook. No, really - he makes the best hamburger I think I've ever tasted.

I'm a horrible liar, anyway - so odd for a Fish...I can keep up whole "deceptive fronts", but when it comes to lying to a person one-on-one...geesh...I'm so bad.
Perhaps that's been the problem: I've been tip-toeing around the issue (b/c, well, I'm a coward), but I'll be up-front the next time I see him. Yep. (Aaah.)
