What has happened to Lyndel's forum?

I e-mailed her several days ago and also posted on her Forum that we were discussing about closing it, since she hasn't been able to give it any energy in a long time (although we understand, because she has to give her time to her little ones) and new Knowflakes were confused and unsure of where to post their questions. And it just made things worse for the new Knowflakes when the Moderator wasn't around to answer questions. I never heard back from Lyndel about whether she could devote a little more time to it (not a lot, but just a little more). So, we made a decision that we agreed was best for the site. Donna has also agreed to let Lyndel Co-Moderate this Forum, if she wants to do so. That way, there is no pressure to be around (like there is as Moderator of her own Forum), and she can drop in when she can to help out.

I think the forum “ask the astrologer” was dropped because the moderator was unable to answer questions. I think you can ask any question under the “astrology forum, but I am not sure if that is where the information of that forum went. Maybe Randall can let us know under which forum it went.

Randall, there have been various issues on this site and others, that I have always chosen not to get involved in. However, I think I'm about to make an exception to my rule.

Lyndel came to your site as a volunteer. The members here recognised immediately that she was a professional astrologer, certified from the Federation of Astrologers, unlike your other moderators. For nearly two years she worked tirelessly for you at no charge, through her family trials, work commitments, illnesses, her pregnancy, the birth of Tyler, his accident, and now her recent house move. Quite frankly, I am outraged that you have erased her work and not had the courtesy to tell her about the closing of her forum. Please honour her enough to Archive her threads.

I think you misunderstood, Lindy. I did tell her--both on the Forum and via e-mail. In the e-mail, I asked her what she thought about closing it down, and I asked her if she could come around a little more often. We appreciate her time and work, but the past year she was here very little. I would very much like to discuss this directly with her, as I still have not heard from her.

I am also curious as to why you posted your queries publicly, as opposed to a private e-mail. One could infer that you did so to cause trouble. I must say that I do take offense at your casual put-down of the other Moderators--who spend quite a lot of time and effort contributing to the site and who deserve the same admiration and respect as Lyndel. I think that was uncalled for.

Quite honestly Lindy, I take pride in the fact that I am not and never will be certified. True to my Aquarius nature, there is no way I'm going to let some society tell me what makes a good astrologer and then test me on it. I don't need their stamp of approval to be good as what I do. Besides, it didn't make a difference in the real world, now did it Lindy? I mean the same place who hired you as an astrologer also hired me....
