Nah. We don't incarnate in sequence (Sun or Nodes). And while The South Node shows where we left and the North where we are going, that doesn't likewise mean that our South Node was our North in our last Life (ALTHOUGH IT COULD BE). It's much more complicated than that. It does ring true to many astrologers that our Saturn indicates our Sun in our last Life, though. You chose self-sacrifice and idealistic callings for this Life, which is why you chose Pisces.

Pardon moi for intruding...but how do you know where your North and South Nodes are?

Thanks for your response Randall. My nodes are also retrograde. My south node is part of a stellium with Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus. I was reading last night that because of the retrograde and the stellium that I have to finish up some things that were left over from previous lives. Kinda funny that you mention Saturn as being the sign you were before, because that would mean I am a Taurus again.

Hi Oxychick. Go to astro.com and create a birth chart. It will show you where your North Node is located by house and sign. If you have any problems let me know.

Hi Oxychick
If you go to www.astro.com
and put your birth details in - it will create your birth chart for you. The north node is also known as the true node - this will show on the chart drawing at the astro site. Your south node is directly opposite your north node.

Oxy, when you see this on your natal chart that's your North node, also called true node. The south Node is the exact opposite. So if yours would be say Aqua 5 degrees, the south Node is 5 degrees in Leo.

Funny Alena, I was just going to ask something on the nodes today too. Mine is also in Pisces in 6. I am planning on buying a book about it. I read a little about it in the bookstore and I found it so interesting. Saying things about Pisces North nodes having served humanity many times and I even think they said something about how tired they sometimes get this time around just because they have served and sacrificed so many times before. Anyway, I will let you know the author and book when I bought it. If you are interested that is ofcourse!

I wanted to ask something about the Nodes and transits. Like when the Node hits one of the planets in the natal about Karma and events that will happen when triggered by the node. Am I still clear? Well I have read a little bit about that on a site which somebody mentioned on this forum and it was cool. Do you Randall, know anything about that? Though I know you said you don't have much time.
I am very fascinated by the Nodes lately. And I have learned that your South node is the sun sign you were in your former life instead of Saturn .
Something completely different which I read on another string about the 12th house is that I also have heared this is about past lifes. When somebody's Venus for instance falls in your 12th the changes are that of a lover in the past. Also very interesting!

Have a nice one!

Hi Mercy
We all must be "in tune".
Hmm so you have the same node signs as me my north node is at 9 Pisces. What houses are yours in? Mine are 1st (south) and 7th (north) - conjunct my asc and desc - which are also at 9 degrees.

Jan Spiller's book "Astrology For The Soul" is all about the nodes - has masses of info in it but nothing about aspects or transits unfortunately. If you (or anyone) else find a good book that covers those, I be very interested.
Actually both the Nodes and Chiron fascinate me - but sadly there's not enough info available on them.

OH-I didn't know that True Node and North Node were the same. Hehe My NORTH Node is 17 degrees Virgo. So I guess my South Node wuld be 17 degrees Pisces? So what now?

Thanks everyone!

Yep *in tune* !

That's too bad that there isn't that much info on something you're so interested in. A bit frustrating. Maybe the Spiller book is the one I meant. And unfortunately nothing about transits in the one I meant either it would have been so great! I am also not sure if they mention their influence by the houses they're in. But hey... , I am going to check it out a.s.a.p. now, can't wait!

My north node is 4 degrees Pisces in 6 and south in 12th.

Ciao bella's

Hi Everyone
Now how spooky is that we ALL have Virgo/Pisces nodes (except Oxychick's is the opposite way round)

Funny how we all decided to talk about them right now.
Sue

PS: Alena, it's not unusual for nodes to be retrograde - but I don't know the significance of when they are. Randall??????

Mercy, Sue.....eerie isn't it? LOL

Mercy, I wonder about Node transits myself. The north node is currently on my Mercury. Is it on yours? I know you have it Gemini but I don't remember your degree. The south node is hovering around my Mars. Lately I feel like I am trapped in an episode of the Twilight Zone. LOL

Sue, ooo me too. I mean about Chiron and Nodes. I wish there were more info on them.

Hi to all and a hug for you Cat,
I just had to come and say hi. I also have a Pisces North node. We just might start to see how many of us have both the 12th House Stellium AND the Pisces Northnode. Hmmmm..I think it means great things.. In this Lifetime..once we use the Thunderbolt path to overcome the obstacle course we set up for ourselves. Love Flame

Alena, the Node was on my Mercury in August (14 dgr). It was also conjuncting my MC and Trining my Moon in October and currently just came out of the 10th and runs through my 9th. I have thought about what it did to me but I am not really sure yet. I did move locations and my job sort of expanded inside the school I work back in April. August was a great month for me though! Many special things happened but if that is the result of Node conj. Merc. I don't know. I do consider these times as very, very important and *special* for me. So much (like an evolution) has happened in a short time.

I was right wasn't I when I talk about the Nodes's sextiles, Trines and the lot in transits or not? Not just conjunctions. I'm sure they do or what?! Then Cat had or has a Square North Node to her North Node at this moment. It will be sextiling (?? nice word) my Venus in just a bit and at this moment my fire bloke's Ascendant and North Node as well.
Oh and isn't the North Node always retro? Yep, that was about it.

Oh and HI to you too Purple Flame!

I just did a search on amazon - at first just on astrology which brought up over 4,000 books
Anyway then did one purely on Lunar Nodes and aside from the Jan Spiller book I've already mentioned (hmm I thought she was going to bring about a book on aspects/transits - but hasn't so far)....
Anyway has anyone heard of...
Transiting Lunar Nodes
by Diane Ronngren-Dunham

As that's the only book re transits that the search found.

Hi Flame
Hug for you too Nice to see you. Hope things are good with you.
Wow something must be happening to bring all the pisces nodes out......
Hmm that's a very interesting point you made about the 12th house. How many of us have 12th house placements? I think you all know I have 4 planets there.

Hey Mercy
Yes I used to think that all nodes where retro - but I've seen charts where they are not. I'm not sure how often the transiting node retrogrades......Randall?????????
I feel it's a lot - but I really have no idea as never studied the nodes.

Alena
Yes Chiron and the Nodes..... soo hard to find good info on those. A lot of astrologers don't "rate" them. I just feel there's a lot more to them. I'll try to find a link re Chiron - it listed various points that would make someone more "Chironic" than others (as in feeling the effects of Chiron).
I know quite a few of the aspects/planetary placements applied to me.

Wow, something strange just happened! Check out that link! Me stupid? I don't get what went wrong, we all just ended up on Pluto? Thought we were discussing the Nodes.
Anyway I'll try the two links again.

Wow! That sounds like it might be a really good book, Cat!

I've never heard about the South Node being the Sun in the last Life. It could be true. I kind of have my doubts, though--only because the Saturn theory rings true to me, and because the South Node is directly opposite the North (the North being chosen to signify the reason our Soul is here), so it seems we would choose the North Node for more than just to reflect (through its opposite counterpart) our previous Life's Sun.

Nodes in transit are not my specialty; however, they do indicate past Life connections behind the scenes wherever they make an appearance. The Nodes (as a standard) are usually Rx (so standard that some software doesn't even specify that the Nodes are Rx), but yes, they sometime go direct. So, the real question is "What does a direct NN mean?" And, sadly, I do not know the answer!

Randall, I have a question.

If your North node is also called the true node, what is the mean node? It came up on the additional information table on my chart at astro.com.

I have my North node, mean node, chiron, and Saturn all in Aries...what does that say about me? I hope nothing too bad...I'm really truly trying to be a good girl...

Thanks bunches...

Katie

What exactly is the Saturn theory re past lives? I don't really fully understand that.
I'm interested because my Saturn is in Libra and both my parents were Sun sign Libra and it's the only connection with them that I can see in my chart but then again I don't have their birth times.

Hey Katiebull
Mean Node, North Node, True Node are all the same thing.

There's a complicated mathematical explanation to it all which I can't fully remember (my brain tends to throw mathmatical stuff out....) - one's a manual calculation the other computer caluclation or something like that. But anyway they are all the same thing.

Thanks for the links Mercy!! Sadly, it's all true. I've always had a problem with details and with checking myself. I always make stupid errors and feel I have no time for little details...*sigh* And I do get taken in way too often by cons. I'm always the person falling for the people everyone else deems unworthy, but I never see it.

My North Node is in my 4th House, conjunct Saturn in Virgo. (not pretty, is it?)

I read something about how Saturn in the 4th means the end of my life will be filled with difficult tribulations. Sigh
