Hey ya'll - OK. I have a well defined eastern emphasis in my natal chart (7 planets), but I'm confused re: the North/South emphasis. Here're the facts: *5 planets in each (6 in the top if you count Chiron) *Both my Sun and Moon are in the bottom *I've been told that my 7th House Venus is very strongly placed, *As is my 10th House Mars - which leads to the fact that both the co-rulers of my Ascendant (Mars and Pluto) are in the top (the 10th and 12th houses, respectively) http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?rs=3&btyp=w2gw&lang=e&cid=vc0filen4FWif-u1038761524&nhor=1 So, which one (top or bottom) would you say is stronger? Thank ya'll, Corri IP: Logged |

Corri,Karmically, the majority of planets on the Eastern hemisphere indicate a sowing incarnation. The majority on the Western hemisphere mean this is a reaping incarnation. So, you are in a sowing phase this lifetime. More planets on the Eastern side mean you are a self starter, and could possibly take on more than you can handle. It is your personal choice, this road you are taking in this lifetime. The North and South are evenly balanced (without the NN and Chiron). Taking them into consideration, it is a 7 to 5 ratio, meaning the South has more influence. This gives you a wide range of interests, leadership abilities and a desire for recognition. Sue, great links!! Donna IP: Logged |

Thanks for ya'll's aid in getting my brain around this info (esp. N_w - moral support definately counts )Coolbeans. So, the luminaries' position (in the North) wouldn't hold any more sway? I was mainly confused on that point. Something interesting, then: many of the charts (stored in astro.com - yay astro.com) of those that I know are heavily eastern as well. I guess people tend to choose their own realities, huh? Cool on the sewing bit as well; I mean, hey, a person might not like what they're reaping, right? Another question re: N/S - both my sister and one of my step brothers have charts that are heavily, heavily southern (that is, they have bucket charts w/ all the planets located entirely in houses 7-12), and despite different charts otherwise, they're both...well, they're both kinda the delinquints of the fam. Would the soley northern emphasis key into that? They're both young (17 & 22 respectively), so could that perhaps point to a bit of an intense concern w/ outward and public appearance (ie - their rep and standing with their cliques and peers)? Cat - Groovy-toove links; I explored 'em, I like 'em, and they helped.
