I'd love to see Great Alexander's chart myself. When is he supposed to be have born and what's your source? I'm just wondering because I've seen several different dates. Robin Fox, which wrote a very solid book about Alexander the Great 30 years ago, concludes he was born on or around the 20th of July. According to myths he was born on the day when Artemis, goddess of births, was celebrated - 6th of July. I've also seen somewhere the he should have been a Virgo, while Massimo Manfredi in his new novel/triology says Alexander was born in the spring. Ok, Manfredi's book is a novel, but obviously based on a lot of historical material so I was wondering if there is any new research related to the birthday of this great Macedon. IP: Logged |

Yeah we share birthday of July 20. Like him I am very ambitious too. I don't know why i strongly believe he was born on July 20. He is such a mystery too. Ruled the world before he was 30. No one is even close to him. He was only 5 feet 4 inch, but very handsome. His death is a mystery too. Did he die of syphillis? Symptoms indicate that.

I also believe he was a Cancer. He looks like one - a big head, huge round eyes described having "a liquid intensity", and a rather heavy torso compared to his legs (that's why he's always pictured on his horse...), his legs were very short. He had very white skin. He had an habit of keeping his neck and head turned to one side. He was also obsessed with the past, very proud that he descended from Hercules and believing he was a reincarnation of Achilles (the hero of the Illiade), and later, convinced that Zeus was his real father. Though Fox operates with a birthday of 20th of July he also writes that Alexander was born under the sign of Leo and writes that "by contemporaries he was believed to be lion-like in appearance and often in temper". He used to wear a lionskin cap.

BRILLIANT general; I heard he was a but he was a little barbaric for that.I could believe Leo. ------------------ No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sudden bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell. -Shakespeare IP: Logged |
