any angular contact between the nodal axes in synastry is of elevated importance, showing the 2 people have a long history together and souls are tightly related to each other - in love and hate, support and challenge, depending on the case.

the nodes say something about the individual soul's journey. metaphorically, i have my personal destiny and so does my significant other. if our journeys coincide, then there is a strong link. spiritually, we are connecting somewhere in the search for our personal grail - on the same journey, at least part of the way or our journeys take us so that we connect to learn something from each other. maybe, if you subscribe to the theory that nodes reflect past lives, there's a past life lesson to be learned. The nodal contacts do not have to illustrate permanence - they may be going in different directions but paths cross. the relationship dynamic is where they play out or pay for this link.

i had that configuration in my last relationship: he had a scorpio AC, so taurus was on his DC, and my venus conjuncted his IC by 2°. it was a very intense affair. really deep.
