Hello everyone! Can you guys please give me some input on what the implications are for an 8th house containing Moon, Mars and Pluto? The Moon and Mars are in conjunction. Thanks! IP: Logged |

What signs are your planets in? This is crucial info? Off hand, your emotions (moon)and life transforming experiences (pluto) are tied in with other people's money. Do you work with other people's money?Kat IP: Logged |

The 8th house describes what passes between people, and with Pluto there, the token of exchange is intensity. Partnerships may involve power struggles, physical or emotional violence, or the breaking of taboos. Some have a propensity for tragic, tortured or transformative relationships in the tradition of Romeo and Juliet, or Tristan and Isolde. Behind the symbolism of the sexual act is a craving for self-transcendence or power. Fearing the exessiveness or the chaos of their powerful emotional drives, they may attempt to avoid close contacts altogether. Pluto in the 8th house sometimes also describes conflict, treachery and intrigue around other people's money. Complications and long-drawn-out problems can arise over inheritances, taxes, business deals and divorce settlements, especially if Pluto is adversely aspected. Their value system in general may differ significantly from a partner's; or what the partner believes in may dramatically affect and change them. They may want to challenge what another person holds in esteem. This is an excerpt from Howard Sasportas' book "The twelve houses" A different author (whose name I'm unable to recall) also made the interesting suggestion that the 8th house placement of Pluto is about other people's money on the collective level only. I have this placement myself, and can attest to some of its effects...

I have to say- I don't put as much weight on the houses as I do the signs and aspects. Houses are points in space. They'll give a flavor to your personality, but when you want to skip the flavor and go straight to the ingredients, don't worry about house placements too much. (just my .02) So- I'm more peaked by the Moon/Mars conjunction. hmm... I'd have to know what else is happening in your chart, but I'm wondering if you've had quite an emotionally turbulent life. A virgo moon isn't one to be overly dramatic, but with Mars there you are probably quite sensitive to any slights that you might perceive. It's also an indication that you have psychic gifts-meaning you are very tapped into what other people are feeling. IP: Logged | |
