Recently, a friend of mine has had a sidereal reading of her chart. Though she is a Leo, her sidereal chart makes her a Cancer.
I guess that would make me a Gemini though I was born July 11.

Back in 1996 or 95, I recall reading a small---very small newspaper article that stated that a British astronomer found that the planets were incorrectly charted. There should be 13 planets or 13 signs instead of twelve. This would also make me a Gemini, and anyone born the first two weeks of December would be this new 13th sign- named after a planet of healing. Most of us are actually the preceeding sign. I followed the papers for a while thinking that this would be big news-- revolutionizing astrology - updating it or something. Instead I read articles- small downplayed articles in a major newspaper stating that they would continue with astrology as is. Tabloids (as reported in a major newspaper) said they did not want to break off working relationships with their astrologers. So my question is what is the truth? Has the truth been covered over because some people are reluctant to change and are sitting easy with their outdated facts and belief systems? What do you know about this or sidereal astrology? What's your opinion or what do you know?

Hey I heard of Ophiucus! it was in a game...it seemed like it was a wiser sign, I know that sounds weird but it knew what was going on better than the other signs. all the signs in the game, put together, formed a story & Ophiucus was the conclusion.

well I'm definitly a Taurus! the very fact that I'm saying it just proves it!

The sign preceding huh, well...I suppose I coouuld be a Scorpio instead of a Sag. but then again, I have a moon/venus/uranus conjuntion in Scorpio, so go figure!
(Would that mean my moon sign is supposed to be libra? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. no way. No offense librans, but that is definetly not my moon sign!)

If I remeber correctly, linda retorted that Ophiucus or whatever was just a confusing bit of silliness.

Rudolph Steiner supported Sidereal astrology. I think that in sidereal, the interpretations for the signs are different. They both do a good job of describing a personality; pick or choose!

I think Greg at the Astrology Course explained this very good: While the wheel is divided into equal parts of a 30 degrees, some signs take up more place in sky, others less. Dividing the wheel in 13 signs or using the new house systems are attempts to make astrology scientific (isn't the 13 th sign supposed to be between Libra and Scorpio?) But astrology is not an exact science...You deal with symbols..
