Can anyone tell me what are indications in the chart that say I would be suited to studying medicine?
Are there any specific aspects in a chart that say 'medical Doctor' and how do I analyse my career section to juge how well suited I could be for this career?IP: Logged |

HiI would say the 6th house as this has to do with health. Also the 10th house and the MC. Planets to look at would be mercury and I think mars has something to do with surgery? In my personal opinion I would also consider how you feel about helping people. This could be indicated by your sun and moon but at the end of the day it is up to you to decide. Have u heard of the mars effect?
I just discovered the research of Michel Gauquelin... do u know anything about his work?
As you also mentioned the 6th house I wonder if his findings could be applied to the 6th house for health.

Hi Quinnie and Moonshadow!I have always been interested in Gauquelin's research and have several of his books, I just can't quite get into the details, though.  Actually, Virgo plays a strong role in Medical vocations. Wherever you have Virgo in your chart will show a propensity in that area. For example, I have Mars in Virgo in the 10th, with Leo on the Cusp, I chose nursing as my profession and I ended up being a Cardiac nurse for most of my career. Interestingly, I have Aries on the Cusp of my 6th house and in between my cardiac nursing, I was in the ER, loving every minute of it, especially when the heart cases came in. a believer.
Gauquelin Sectors
1. all of sector 12 and 10° of the 1st sector immediately adjacent the ascendant
2. all of sector 9 and 10° of the 10th sector immediately adjacent the midheaven
3. all of sector 6 and 10° of the 7th sector immediately adjacent the descendant
4. all of sector 3 and 10° of the 4th sector immediately adjacent the Imum Coeli
He found people of Science (doctors et al) were prominent in the 2nd sector with Mars. You can read more at this site---
http://www.cd-b.com/gauquelin_sectors.htm My Mars is prominent in the Sector adjacent the midheaven, and I have been in the health care profession as an RN and I have always been good at sports, so, that was proof to me, but as a child, I wanted to be an actress or a lawyer or a gym teacher. Sometimes, though, I still wonder why I ended up being a nurse, especially when my Jupiter/Moon conjunction in 29* Leo on the Midheaven. But, Mars at 6* Virgo being 6, almost 7* short of an actual conjunction of the Moon/Jupiter had more strength in the Gauquelin Sector.  Donna IP: Logged |

Are u also a budding writer?... that Moon conjunct Jupiter on Leo Midheaven... A dramtic flair to your midheaven and lots of imagination!
Maybe Your desire to be an actress or lawyer or gym teacher was coming from a need to heal (body/mind/soul)and so in becoming a nurse you opted for the power of Mars... BtW does a Leo MC give you a Scorpio ascendant?

Uranus (Moon ruler)
Uranus in Scorpio 2nd house conjuct Mercury
Ascendant trines moon
Conjuncts Pluto (7 degrees, is that still a conjunction?)
MC sextiles Venus
squares Sun conjunct Pluto
Trines Mercury conjunct Uranus
What do you think? there are so many different kinds of health care that I don't know where to start.

Also another thing, the link you gave also talks about alternative health... does this mean that if you have say potential for skill and talent in certain healing techniques that you will also gain alot of healing by undergoing this kind of therapy yourself?
If I have the potential in my chart to be a good past-life regressionist does that mean I will benefit from past-life regression?
If it doesn't mean that, then how do I know the difference between being a healer and being healed just by analysing a chart?IP: Logged |

Hmm boy, Quinnie,  I had to play astro sleuth to come up with your birth data. I checked the emphemeris to find all the aspects you posted and came up with a tentative date of Oct 18 and a birth time around 7:13 AM. I didn't post the year, in case you didn't want it known, but there is only one year those planets could all be where they are. Yes, I do have Scorpio Rising.  Looking at your chart, I do better visually seeing a chart, can't comprehend a thing with just words, LOL. Anyway, one of the things that jumps out at me, is your Pluto/Sun conjunction, indicating psychology which could lead you into all sorts of realms, including past life therapy. With Cancer on your MC and Pisces on the 6th, your aptitude would be very easily led to pyschically tune in to the person. Also, midwifery would be indicated. Along the same lines, herbal medicine and anything to do with rebirthing. Yes, lots of potential. One of the things to remember when dealing with others is to always keep yourself protected. We can absorb the negativity of others in their mind/health conditions and with the water element strong, it would be prudent to remain aware of that. I use the technique of simply shaking my hands outwardly to shake off any negative vibes I pick up during care. It works. The only reason I told you that, is because I could see you doing something with touch, whether Reiki or reflexology. Pisces rules the feet, and reflexology is a promising alternative health career. I have Sun in Cancer, so caring for others is a maternal outlet for me. With your midheaven, I can see it would be rewarding for you. I imagine you have a soothing touch. I can also see where you would be drawn to something in the health profession with the Venus in Virgo, it would surely be a labor of love!! Donna

Donna You have no idea how spot on that was!For years I've had these feelings that I battled with because they didn't belong to me and just today I realised that that actually weren't mine at all... I do feel for other people quite literally and distinguishing between my feelings and others feelings I think shows up with the Sun/pluto conjunction in Libra(others) 1st house(me). So I can really do some kind of healing! Thats amazing, I've always wanted to heal...
lol I should have just given you my birth details that would have been easier!
I am 18th October and my birth time is 6:59am, not bad sleuthing!
There are so many things I want to do and you've named alot of them so i suppose starting with one thing will lead to others.

oops One more thing I forgot to add, is psychic protection necessary?
I didn't think so before as I thought it was all about mental attitude but recently I've felt energy that I know just can't disperse through mental attitude, it takes mental power to do that.
Can a person be psychically invaded and if i see colour rather than images with people can i interpret the colour? I don't necessarily mean auras but you know the light that people give out according to their energy... if I can interpret that how could I then help someone with real negative stuff and as you say protect myself from it at the same time?
Does a person not need to feel someone's energy (therefore leave themselves open to that person)before he/she can help them?IP: Logged |

Donna I just read what I wrote.
The energy that I was talking about, the colour of the energy... I know the aura is the globe that surrounds you but what about the energy that exudes from you and covers the room and beyond?
Like when I look inbetween the air I can see lines and sometimes swirls and colour of lines, mostly in my room alone I see green and purple and I think thats just my energy but I don't think it's my aura.
I was wondering if this is something that I should be developing as I've heard of energy grids and don't know if thats what i could be possibly tapping into.
Plus the etheric outline of things I can remove from its place to another... At night the etheric outline is clearer to see in the darkness so I can almost imagine the whole image of what i'm looking at doubly, as the physical and the etheric... it's the outline of the etheric that stays in my mind for a few seconds.
Is this how some psychics can see?
Do they see apparitions (outlines) of the past this way?
The spirals are very clear to see in direct light such as looking at a lamppost or a flame... but the air is easier to see in the darkness.
Does any of this make sense?
