I feel like I have been a bit grumpy and irritable this evening. I had a bit of a tiff with my husband this evening because our group of close friends never organise social events ahead in advance. It's always a case of getting the call to do something that afternoon.Being spontaneous is great, and these people are fantastic people, but it really irks me that these social get-togethers are never organised in advance. I like to know what I am doing ahead of time, particularly as we have a baby boy to think of.

Am I being unjust and selfish? Is it anything to do with my birthdate which is 4th April, 1975?

Love and Peace,
Sunmeadow Glades.

You are not being a grump. I understand completely as our friends do the same!! Lucky for us we don't have a little bub to think of as it would just make it harder! I'm not sure what I would do in your situation as when I don't want to go I just don't go.
What sort of things do you do with your friends??

SunGlades,

Looks like you're an Aries/Aqua moon like me! I think Aries and Aquarius are very spontanious BUT when you have a new Baby to think of, it's totally different. This happened to me a lot with my daughter who's now 3. At last minute I'd have to rush to get a babysitter and let's face it...that's not exactly something you can just whip up. I'd never be able to enjoy getting ready because I'd have to get her ready for bed first and there's no time. If you have more notice you can arrange to have the baby taken care of and still enjoy yourself! Maybe it's a control thing or the fact we like to have fun and feel this situation is a violation of our much needed freedom! Amen!

Sunglades,

You might be Cappy moon depending on what time you were born...but this situation would still make anyone grumpy.

If you were a geminia you would love the surprises becuase I am one, and i love it when my friends call me up and change my whole day around.

You are just a person who gets a bit off when somebody changes your plan, thats normal happens a lot

You are a very sweet person and as I remember in one of your msgs you mentioned
"Life is what you make it"

belive in your own words and you will find the truth.

hi sunmeadow glades,

(love that name!) how about you take a pro-active stance and organize things ahead of time with your friends? that way you get your needed time to do your things, and your friends still get to be with you

Thanks guys for all of your replies. My friends are good friends. We used to go out to pubs for drinks, but now because we have a baby my husband and I don't always get invited to those nights which is cool. But, when we do get-together with them we tend to have bar-b-q's, which is nice.

Good idea, Aphrodite about organising a get-together next time!! I will do that!! Thankyou for your compliment about my name!!

Shieldrocks, I was born at around 11.45p.m., so I think I might be an Aquarian moon girl.
I do like spontaneous things to do, but I think the 4's in my birthchart might be where my need of organisation comes from!!!

Love and Peace,
Sunmeadow Glades.

Hi Sunmeadow Glades and All,

For what it's worth, I find that all my cardinal sign girlfriends are _Generals_! when it comes to planning! We think well ahead of our other friends, partners, etc., unless they too are a cardinal sign.

Although let me say, my mom is Gemini, and I consider her a Sergeant-Major! She likes everything _organized_ well in advance, whereas my General pals and myself, we er, um, ah, well perhaps maybe we just like to have a little, um, _control_ of a situation! Of course, we refer to this as "having input" or "having our needs considered", or "just thinking ahead".

It is true, though, that non-parents are quite clueless about what it takes to manage all the details (and gear! O the accessories and bags and diapers!) with a baby... I had an argument with a single male pal who heard his best friends had had baby #2, about whether he should call them, or whether they should be the ones to call him!! As if those parents with a toddler and newborn wouldn't appreciate someone saving _them_ a call!! You may have to gently train the non-parents in your life to er...

...consider your needs...

cheers,
Lunargirl

Thanks Lunagirl!! Yes, perhaps I am a tad control-like over situations (not people). But, you are right. I should be re-educating my non-kiddie friends!!!

Love and Peace,
Sunmeadow Glades.
