Could a Saturn Sq. Sun manifest itself in a hyper-active, brutal conscience?IP: Logged |

" Could a Saturn Sq. Sun manifest itself in a hyper-active, brutal conscience? " It could, but the word "brutal" suggests something more Plutonian or even Uranian. Certainly there would be much tension, and gloom/pessimism, and the combination could foster some serious, harsh repressive behaviours or beliefs. The hyperactivity would come from another source, unless either or both planets were in jittery signs themselves. Can you provide more info? From my own experience: do not rule out drugs or addiction. And maybe simple immaturity. cheers, Lunargirl IP: Logged |

I was being a bit hyperbolic when I used the term "brutal". (Although I do have a 12th House Pluto and 1st House Uranus...and my Mom's a Pisces/Sag/Cancer, my Pop's a Libra/Cancer/Virgo.)It's just that everytime I do/say something that I think may have been wrong/construed wrong/hurt someone's feelings, it picks, and picks, and nags and nags, until, exasperated, I give in and correct it. But, then, I do have a Pisces Sun...shamrock227 seems to think that that may account for it. (This question was prompted my following comment from another post: Damn Pisces Sun. It's like, instead of Jiminy Cricket as my conscience, I have a huge, hairy guy with a club who beats me mercilessly whenever I think I may have done something wrong. Or maybe that's my Saturn squaring my Sun. Idunno. But then shamrock227 said this: *snort* LOL.. This is totally off topic, but prox, this - ::: Damn Pisces Sun. It's like, instead of Jiminy Cricket as my conscience, I have a huge, hairy guy with a club who beats me mercilessly whenever I think I may have done something wrong.::: is the best description of being a Pisces I've seen in a very long time. Thank you very much, Lunargirl, for your help. IP: Logged |

Prox, I have that problem too, but I'm inclined to think that my Jupiter conjunct Neptune, both conjunct my Moon might got something to do with it - you know, Jupiter ruling justice and law and so on (you think Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, is the cause of that?)... It's like your inner voice keeps telling you to be fair and it's hard to balance that with your other not-so-thoughtful placements in your chart, for example some of the explosive squares (I've got Mars sq. Moon, Asc. sq. Moon, Uranus sq. Sun etc. etc.) I just wanted to say that I know exactly how you feel Since I cannot really control my feelings, lately I just refrain from participating in anything that might provoke me to explode and be sorry later But before I go off the track, I think Saturn is more of an oppressor, a demanding, strict, "do it the hard way" teacher. Yes, good question: what planetary aspects/placements represent conscience? Does anyone have any idea? , morgana IP: Logged |

Ah. Much becomes clear.I think I was right about the drugs: sounds like your conscience is like Jiminy Cricket on STEROIDS! Yep, for a Pisces, a Sun sq. Sat. would make you much more serious in the feelings department when something pricks your conscience. Some people get a twinge, then shrug and forget about it, but your combination would have many personal feelings about it, quite mournful really. And quite probable that whatever pricks your conscience stays down there swimming circles with echoes of everything your parents ever told you about being/not being a Good Person, until you correct it. And I get the funny feeling your folks don't hold back in communicating these kinds of things to you, even if on a non-verbal level. The 1st house Uranus probably accounts for the hyper-awareness, and hyper-active process. You will think more intensely and in a more jittery way about yoursELF than many people. The active conscience and the ability to correct wrongs are a wonderful gift, proxieme; the harshness toward self in getting there is the problem, yes? The THWACK! effect... yes it would be nicer to correct mistakes out of a feeling of love, but hey, if guilt is all there is on the menu, then that's the swamp of the day, isn't it? Gentle hug, Lunargirl PS RRR jitteriness can manifest in different planets, aspects and signs, but as for planets I notice it with Uranus and Mercury the most. IP: Logged |

Proxie, you're a riot sometimes. I don't think your conscience (or the big hairy guy with a club)has so much to do with Sun/Saturn square. I think it's your Sun in Pisces. I don't think it's just Pisces either, more to do with the water signs overall. They seem to be more concerned with having offended someone than most of the other signs. But I think it's a good thing. ........damn, I need more water in my chart. Anyone wanna give me some agua? I'm parched. IP: Logged |
