Greetings...Mars is/was the Traditional Ruler of Scorpio before the discovery/recovery of the modern planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Pluto is now considered to be the true ruler of Scorpio by most modern astrologers. Though, some claim that it has some connection to Aries as well... but I don't really buy that theory. Vedic astrologers still use only the classical planets to the best of my knowledge, but I am not very well versed in that type of astrology. Hope that helps... A IP: Logged |

Hi, taj, I'm not an expert, but I believe that in traditional astrology they had to assign one planet to two signs because they haven't yet discovered (or rather they forgot about) the true rulers of these signs. So it is said that Virgo and I think Libra have yet to be assigned their true rulers (I forgot the names of the planets now, but Linda talks about them in her books). I just consider Pluto as the ruler of Scorpio, and Pluto is the higher octave of Mars anyway, while Uranus as the ruler of Aquarius (I have trouble imagining Saturn as the ruler of Aquarians), and Neptune - Pisces. But many astrologers, to be thorough, consider both rulers, the traditional and the modern, and maybe that's the safest way in order not to miss anything IP: Logged |

Asteroid belt? So Pan-Horus is the ruler of Taurus, right, since Libra is more appropriate for Venus? And I know that Vulcan should be the ruler of Virgo. IP: Logged |

there's a large belt of debris in between the orbit of mars and jupiter, Ceres and several other large asteroids reside in this debris field, i think.Im still trying to find somewhere where they tracked possible orbit points of this hypothetical body, i'm sure NASA has something stashed away in those hard-to-find webpages though. Research was never my strong suite though *edit* just digging up some info now.. IP: Logged |

Mars and Pluto rule sex.Mars symbolizes penetration and overall sex drive. Pluto symbolizes the cyclical vortex inward, sex hormones, and the gentials. Venus rules sensuality. IP: Logged |

So if there is a Pluto/Mars/Venus conjunction...does that mean each of the three planets amplify each other in these similar ways? IP: Logged |

well, the most interesting thing in those links is that Pluto and Charon are now astronomically considered to be large rocks - not planets in their own right mainly because of their wildly eccentric orbits around the sun.Im just interested in what would happen if we happened to find a supra-pluto sized object in the Kuiper belt? Pity spaceprobes take so long to get out there IP: Logged |

Greetings...I'd have to respectfully disagree about planets ruling any part of the body. In medical astrology the SIGNS are given the anatomy, and the planets are given to particular functions or pathology. In old astrology the signs and planets were given rulerships over various parts of the body... in some cases so were the houses. In this way it would be possible to have 3 different livers (Jupiter, Sag and the 9th house) which would not be nearly enough if one were to try and do medical astrology in this fashion. One would surely go through them all in a drunken binge trying to figure out where a man was hiding his 4 additional testicles and 2 other penises, while the poor fashion designers were going mad trying to create the six breasted bra and slinky black dress. In Star Signs, Linda gives the basic anatomical rulersihips to the Signs alone. I have been practicing medical astrology for 20 years, and this is much cleaner and more accurate. I'm a nurse, I can tell you, we are not lucky (Jupiter) enough to have that many livers, would that we were! Scorpio rules the sexual organs, not Pluto. The pregnant uterus shifts its rulership from Scorpio to Cancer, but only during the pregnancy. (Cancer rules containers!) If anyone is interested I'll post the actual medical astrology planetary rulerships. Otherwise I'll stop here. Bright Blessings... Greetings...Well, Aphrodite.. I always say keep what works for you. I don't know Auriel but I did know Linda Goodman... and her system, which came down from Dr. William Davidson has worked very well for me over 20 years. I say try all the methods and keep what works best for you; in my mind this system keeps things clear and separate. And that works for me as an astrologer and a nurse. In terms of the anatomy and the meanings of the Cardinal/Fixed/Mutable crosses in regard to health, Linda covered the basics in Star Signs, and I would refer you to the "Apple A Day" chapter. Sun: the vitality , the metabolism (fast with Mars, slow with Saturn) The Life force. The etheric double. The general indicator of the musculo-skeletal system. Moon: by sign and aspect shows the condition of the health. Indicates the "flow" of the vital forces that is represented by the Sun. Allergies. The general indicator of the internal organs or viscera. Mercury: The quality of the mind and the nervous system in general. Venus: The veins. In bad aspect with Jupiter engogement and venous stasis. Mars: The fighter. A strong Mars gives the power to fight off disease. Acute flare-ups. Hypertonic; feverish; inflammatory; ulcerative. Jupiter: Makes whatever part of the body its sign rules bigger. Engorgement; expansion; large blood supply to that area of the body ruled by Jupiter's sign. Saturn: Most important planet in regard to disease. The slowest or smallest part of the body by its sign placement. Hypo-functioning. Crystallization; blockage; congestion; sclerosis; hardening. Uranus: erractic tonicity, incoordination and spasm. Coordination and cooperation or "compensation" when well placed/aspected. Reflex irritation. Neptune: when well aspect brings the benediction of the invisible lives - the angelic kingdom. People with a well aspected Neptune benefit from "spiritual' healing techniques. Afflicted: holes or leaks in the "etheric double". A "vitality leak". These people need alot of sleep. Creates a loss of "tone". Pluto: like a double or triple strength Mars. Inflammations, infections; cellulitis; gangrene. Implicated in cancer. These are just the basics. Medical Astrology is a complex subject, and as always the whole chart must be considered. But a basic understanding of these and the signs can give a good indication of health tendencies, strengths and potential weaknesses. Hope that helps some... Bright Blessings... A IP: Logged |

Great stuff Aselzion! Thank you for sharing.I have a trite inquiry, what would indicate teenage acne? Most teenagers get acne and I always wondered what generational transit may trigger this sort inflammation amongst young people. Is it a generational transit? Aphrodite IP: Logged |
