North Node is always retrograde because maybe it's one of the the karmic lesson that we didn't get to accomplish in our previous reincarnation.

It probably doesn't mean anything special, since the Nodes simply indicate the Soul's purpose (and maybe the Soul simply chanced upon a direct NN when picking out the rest of the natal chart), but I could be wrong. I'm out of my area of expertise here, so if anyone can help, please don't hesitate to set me straight.
