I was wondering if you could tell me which house system you generally use for natal chart interpretation: Equal House, Placidus, or Koch. If possible, I would be very grateful if you could briefly tell me why you use that particular system. Thank you so much!Sincerely, divinia ------------------ It is never too late to be what you might have been -- George Eliot IP: Logged |

Divinia...I use Equal Houses when I want a picture of the Soul as it is in the 4th dimension. When I want to look at what's happening in the mundane 9-5 world, where all things are not Equal... I use the Campanus System of House division as it makes sense for me. As Linda said, you should try all the systems and use the one that makes the most sense to you. Hope that helps some. Thanks so much for your input! The reason I'm having a difficult time deciding which house system feels right is because I am way too biased. I have a difficult time letting go of preconceived notions. For example, using the Placidus system, my Sun and Jupiter are in my 3rd house, but using Equal Houses, they are both in my 2nd house. For some reason, I just don't like them to be placed in my 2nd house, but that doesn't mean that that is the incorrect placement. Does that make any sense? Does anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks again!Sincerely, divinia IP: Logged |

Yes, I have the same problem! Equal & Koch put Saturn in my 5th house, but I don't feel it there. Placidus puts it in my 4th house, which makes more sense to me, because I almost dread my own family. They're just too needy! Need money. Need a ride. Need a babysitter. Need advice. Need to vent. Need their a$$ kicked into gear. Need need need AURGGGG!! And I have to come to their rescue because if I don't, the guilt is unbearable. (thank goodness for call disply) Sounds like a 4th house Saturn, doesn't it? So Placidus makes the most sense to me, personally.IP: Logged |

Astrotruth, I'm wondering what your impression of an 8th house Sun is. (actually a Stellium (sp?) which includes Sun, Mars & Mercury)IP: Logged |

Dear Lioneye68:Thank you for your story! That is too funny! By any chance, are you a Capricorn sun sign? --divinia P.S. I see that you are a Leo sun sign. Do you have any Cappy energy in your chart? What you wrote reminds me of what Linda Goodman wrote in her LOVE SIGNS book about Capricorn. ------------------ It is never too late to be what you might have been -- George Eliot IP: Logged |

Dear Shaun:Thank you, as always, for your input! I am so confused. I am having such a hard time getting my act together. Ever since you introduced the idea of Spiritual Birth Astrology to me, I have been having the darndest time deciding how to approach the totality of my natal chart. I am familiar with all of the cookbook-style information regarding my chart, however, I am seemingly unable to pull the totality of it together. I don't know what to do. Sincerely, divinia (Heather) IP: Logged |

No, Divinia (Heather), I'm a Leo sun, Aquarius moon, Sag rising (at least I use to think so, but maybe not - perhaps Scorpio rising? I'd sure like to know once and for all, but that's neither here nor there)IP: Logged |

Divinia, Nope, no Capricorn energy is prominent in my chart, at least not that I can see. It's just that darn Saturn placement in my 4th house. I'm sure that's what it is.IP: Logged |

hi divinia,i use the Koch house system because it has reasonated accurately with most of the readings i have done. however, i do use other house systems when i sense something isn't quite accurate, or scale the birthtime until it feels "just right." aphrodite IP: Logged |
