lioneye68 unregistered	posted April 29, 2003 05:58 PM How can I figuer out once and for all what my rising sign is? I read Scorpio rising and it seems to fit in some ways, but so does Sag. rising. lioneye68 unregistered	posted April 29, 2003 06:13 PM Well, which is correct? I'm coming across conflicting information, but I'm either one or other, darnit! But then, Astrotruth put up a post saying it's not really your birth time that determines it, but rather your soul's body choice time, which is up to 4 hours before birth time. That just complicated everything for me. Alas, I fear I'll never know for sure. IP: Logged

lioneye68 unregistered	posted April 30, 2003 02:19 PM D'oh! I don't have a digi-cam or a scanner. But I think I look like a Leo. Blonde flowing mane, sparkling eyes. Roundish face, kind of long neck. Generally friendly looking. Not very tall, 5.4 or so. Slim/medium build, curvey. I scowl alot though, not on purpose, just concentrating. I have a filthy sense of humor sometimes, I like to shock people. Does that sound like anything for sure? IP: Logged

They're reliable and don't make promises that they can't keep. But they have to be fun too. It can be a tricky mix. I seem to like Virgos an awful lot. That's not helping is it? IP: Logged

None of these planets are retrograde, in exalted signs, or in rulerships either. Interesting mix you have. If the time you have supplied is accurate as you say, and your responses true to form, then it is highly doubtful you are Scorpio Rising, in my opinion. IP: Logged

I wish I was that intuitive. I'm working on it. Aphrodite, How did you develop that? (or was it always there for you?) Interesting mix? Like my moon opposing just about everything else? Aphrodite unregistered	posted May 06, 2003 05:47 PM Hi Lioneye68, I know many, many Scorpio Risings and there is a particular energy they all eminate. Same with each sign, just a particular vibration unique to each. Of course, there are personality and physical traits, in addition to exercising observation in how a person filters the data they receive from the outside world. I use very small orbs in reading charts, 5 degrees or less. I find the data to be precise more often this way. The Moon and Mars have a wide aspect in your chart, I am guessing 7 or 8 degrees. I don't have your chart offhand at the moment, just going on picture memory. IP: Logged

I ran your chart in both Koch and Placidus and it comes up Sagittarius Rising. I also checked it on astro.com and it comes up Sagittarius Rising. Is there some reason you don't want to be a Sag Rising? Yes, most sources agree that it's Sagittarius rising, but on the odd occasion, (can't tell you exactly what sources, somewhere on the net)Scorpio is given as the rising sign. I'd have no problem accepting Sag as my rising sign, if only the desriptions of it matched me better. (for example I'm certainly not tall - I'm the shortest in my family at 5.4 or so) It does match in some ways, but so does Scorp. rising. Funny thing is, the one that resonates most with me is LIBRA rising. (It's possible that my mom is confusing my birth time with that of one of my 4 siblings) IP: Logged

I have the correct timing of my birth and every person as well as site that I've tested has stated that I am. Do you see quite alot of the Leo traits in your appearance? Probably less so with Libra rising. To Sag rising, the world is one huge banquet of fine foods, each to be sampled before moving on and that's the Sag theme---sampling and moving on to the next adventure. Libra rising (women) are looking for the perfect man who they then attempt to refine to their standards Oh dear, wrong hair style, wrong clothing, wrong diet, wrong political party and wrong profession---all very subtly of course and for your own good----of course. Scorp rising knows exactly what they want. The only question is do you measure up and you will know you're being evaluated, dissected and measured by every word you say and even your body language. Expect that flat, neutral stare directly into your eyes that disconcerts the insecure when you're talking to a Scorp rising. Chances are, if you look away or find urgent business elsewhere, you didn't measure up. On the other hand, once they've decided you're it, they won't let you go. Oh, and one last thing, a Scorp rising Leo is the one who likely won't roar if insulted or is otherwise abused. lioneye68 unregistered	posted May 14, 2003 01:30 PM Well, my mom insists that the birth time of 3:40pm is correct, but she IS human afterall, and a Sagittarius at that, so she's more a big-picture person. Sometimes details "elude" her. For years, whenever I asked her my birth time she would say "...oh, it was in the afternoon sometime. I think it was after lunch, or before dinner" Hmm. Ok, thanks mom. That narrows it down NOT. Well, I really wanted to know for sure so I started trying to track down the hospitals birth record, and found out that it was going to cost me $45 to get a copy. I didn't really want to pay that, so I went back to mom and put the pressure on her to remember. Well, all of a sudden, she's absolutely sure that it was 3:40pm. So, it could be wrong, since she came up with it "under duress". (although she's quite insistant that it's correct, but you gotta know my mom) My goodness, I do sound like your description of Libra rising. And another thing, I'm so uncomfortable with conflict. That's not normal for a Leo. I end up feeling like a doormat sometimes, because I'm just SOOO accomadating and cooperative. But I really can't say no to people, so I end up avoiding certain ones, the ones that tend to take advantage of that (like mom). Also, I love to have lots of options, yet I'm quite indecisive. I'm always the last one to order at restaraunts, and when I finally DO make a choice, it's usually at the urging of the others in my party, and I end up feeling like I didn't make the right choice. I do try to refine the men I'm with, but isn't that a woman's job? Many of them don't know how to dress, and most of them could use some help with their social graces. (or is it just me?) IP: Logged

They may appear that way as they examine every side of an issue but 'they' wouldn't think they ARE indecisive. Libra rising would probably be the one trying to talk everyone else into trying what they are ordering for dinner. They are not shy about putting forth their arguments, they just disguise them as discussion. So, unless your so called indecisiveness is a put on to lure in the unsuspecting, I can't see it. Nor can I reconcile your statement of feeling like a doormat at times and avoiding those who take advantage of you with a Libra rising. Cooperative, yes, to a point but Libra Rising will keep pitching their ideas and try to get everyone else to conform. The more you talk the more I think your birthtime is after 8:40pm because you sound a lot more like a Pisces Rising who are somewhat indecisive and see themselves as classic doormats unable to cope with strong willed people. They also despise contention and avoid it whenever possible. These girls with Neptune rising will slip away to avoid confrontation. This is another characteristic of Pisces Rising, see how it fits: Looks for love, but not just any sort of love, it must be the pure and perfect kind----the storybook kind. Which means lots of disappointments in that department. There isn't one thing I can see in your chart leading to indecision nor would I think you nonconfrontational. Your Mars is in Leo as is Mercury and Venus. I would think you know what you want and go straight for it. Nor is there a Sun/Saturn square which is said to make one unsure of themselves. Pisces Rising would likely change that somewhat. In any event, it would be worth the $45 to find out for sure. By the way Pisces Rising is one of the nicest personalities in the zodiac, infinitely forgiving and almost completely nonjudgmental. But that's just my take as is the rest of what I've said. Hey 1scorp For a Sag Rising, the grass sure seems greener somewhere else. They're hard to pen down to one person or one place for long.
