Hi Raj Some trick questions in there hey Sue PS: Hmmm just because someone knows "diddly squat" (ie: nothing) about something doesn't mean they don't have the right to argue against it.....just means they wouldn't really know what they were talking about IP: Logged |

Raj, I doubt if anyone in THIS forum would argue against the validity of Astrology. IT'S AN ASTROLOGY FORUM. They wouldn't be here if they weren't proponents of it.

Howdy, Lioneye68!Actually skeptics and disbelievers often flock to forums on topics that they don't support... some to lurk, others to play devil's advocate and make provocative remarks. Sometimes these folk are hard to pick out from the _believers_ who lurk, or play devil's advocate and make provocative remarks! Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Even though I don't exactly frequent this forum, I have on occasion argued against astrology.

Well, OK. I stand corrected. It didn't occur to me that someone would come to a forum on a subject they think is bull just to aggrevate and challenge everyone there. Seems mean to me....but I suppose a Libra looking for a good debate or a Gemini being michievious, or even an Aries looking for a fight might get their kicks that way. (for example)Hey, whatever floats their boat, man! IP: Logged |

Or they really just have nothing better to do?? I mean, hanging around a site that doesn't mesh with their beliefs? What? Just to make a few comments "hoping" it will make someone mad? Sorry, that seems a bit lame I know I wouldn't hang around on a site that was based off of something I didn't agree with! IP: Logged |

Well, you know, bulletin boards are the Pub of the Internet... Would Knowflakes go and angrily post on a site called "DownWithLinda-Goodman.com" (gourd forbid)? Could be. When we're passionate about something, detractors annoy us, and we just might go over to their "pub" and tell the whole crowd what we think!! (uh-oh, that sounds like our Global Unity forum )Personally I think raj has a finely developed sense of the absurd. The questionnaire is pure satire, IMHO, and because the only answer to any of the questions is "None of the above", it makes its point that anyone who hasn't a lonely clue about astrology ought not to argue against it. raj: it is a bit arcane, you know! You can only argue against asrology when you have a "good" understanding of it and accept it to be true. Then you will be able to transcend the rulership of your sign and excercise your own Free Will to chart your Course because THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.-Greatly paraphrased from Gooberz IP: Logged |

Silverbells- why would you argue against something that you believe is true? I guess you mean once you know a lot about a subject you can see its good points as well as its bad ones.anyway, raj, how can you say people like me dont have a right to argue about astrology? anyone can argue about anything they damn well like as long as they have something to base it on. if they dont have anything to base their critisisms on then you can disregard them as stupid and argumentative. do you know all the critisisms of astrology? or just blindly believe in it? just for the record, i dont believe in it, but have taken the time to learn something about it. have you taken the time to learn about the astronomy and astrophysics that contradicts astrology? maybe not. so therefore you are not informed and have no right to argue FOR astrology IP: Logged |

Ash_14, you are a stellar example of the energy known as Libra, in it's highest form of expression. You're only reaffirming what we already know. (Astrology is perfect sometimes. Whethor you believe it or not)

While I certainly don't argue against astrology, I think that you should always put it to a test and question it if it seems wrong. I think its more my lack of understanding that creates questions, not disbelief. I believe that when you quit questioning any belief, you start loosing out on opportunities for growth. It really always comes down to the old maximum "The proof is in the Puddin" If it works for you, then go for it, but still question your belief to keep growing in knowledge. Just my 2 cents Lanny IP: Logged |

You would find it funny yet many people (not anybody from Lindaland ofcourse atleast not most from Lindaland) would tell one of those answers (given this questionnaire). Some do not know even what symbol every sign has.For most people astrological knowledge constitutes 'horoscope predictions' in newspapers and websites. You can easily see why they would argue against astrology. There is no need to be offended by this questionnaire. Obviously we are not talking about any Knowflake!. This is just for your use.
