I keep seeing the word 'peregrine' being used to describe certain planets. What does that mean? Aphrodite said my mars was "peregrine". (I think it was her)How does that effect the workings of a planet?

Thanks very much, Cat. However....

"Planet positioned in a sign where it posesses no essential dignity."

What's essential dignity? Alas, it fills me with deep dispair when I realize just how LITTLE I know.

Wow, Cat! That was some pretty meaty reading! I get the gist of it, although if I had to explain it to someone, I'm sure I'd lose them! So if my Mars is in 01.56 degrees Leo, that makes it peregrine, or out of essential dignity? It IS being aspected by an opposition to my moon in Aquarius. (8 degrees). So if it's peregrine, does that make it like a "rogue" planet? And if so, does that make it somewhat volatile when aspected by transits?

Sue gave good links that give a basic premise to the peregrine nature of natal planets.
