has anyone here experienced transiting Saturn square or conjunct natal Venus?
and what was the outcome of this transit?

two people close to me are going to have it this and next year (3 times) , wondering what might happen.
any thoughts from experience?

Hey Bissie
Do you remember....I had that transit when I was seeing the cappy. Saturn squared my natal Venus and his natal Mars at exactly the same time. The relationship ended.

Hi Bissie

I have it right now, it's a conjunction and it's exact today (!) and I don't know for how many days yet. Hmm, not exactly sure what to tell you, my relationship didn't suffer any "harsh realizations" as they describe this transit at Astro.com, but I do think I've been tested in terms of commitment, nevertheless it's only been in the form of thoughts. I'm rambling now since I'm not exactly sure how this transit works besides the commitment to the relationship thing. Maybe you can outline it for me if you can, so I can tell you what happens(-ed) and what not ? The astro.com explanation is way too abstract.

hey Cat
hey Sue
hey Morgana

I have never experienced Saturn on my Venus, or at least not after I started to learn astrology. In a couple of months when Saturn enter middle degrees Cancer - i will have it.
I remember, Sue, the mad time with the mad Cappy. Didnt know you were under Saturn/Venus transit at that time, hhhmmmm.

I have read lots of interpretations and it seems like realtionships are put on stagnation during that periods, most of them are ended, the strong ones stay but have to go thru school and learn some lessons. I will never know until I have it myself.

Morgana, its good that at least I have you as an example that not all relationships suffer during that period, and you had it three times, right ? because of saturn retrograde.....*sigh* that must have been though. What house Venus rules in your chart ? And did you have money problems ? Venus=money, Venus=love

Soon, Saturn will be opposing my natal Venus. Dunno what that means though.

Hey Bissie
Yes it was a "double whammy" as his Mars conjunct my Venus exactly - they both got a Saturn whacking at the same time...in other words...no chance of survival - mind you that could also have had a lot to do with the fact that he was a total "plonker"

hahaha, "a total plonker" Sue
have to look at the dictionary to see what is "plonker" but it sounds very funny, lol
and I am sure he was a one....

Bissie
It's probably not in the dictionary. English slang for a complete idiot, tosser, waste of space, etc etc

Thanks, Bissie, now it's all a lot clearer!

Let's see... Venus rules my 10th house (Taurus) and my 3rd (Libra). When I think of it, I did have a lot more responsibilities regarding my work (which is currently my career, but not for long, I hope). For the last year I've been working A LOT, in fact more and more, last year I didn't even go on a holiday (first time in my life), I've been working every day, even weekends! And in fact I've been supporting my bf for the whole year now so that he can do his stuff. This is by my choice, mind you.
Hmmm, relationship put on stagnation... Yes it did slow down a bit, and we've been focused on material things and work for this last year or so. In fact, it's me who's focused on this, while my bf does his best to cheer me up. Thank god/dess we're very good at reviving the romance and falling in love with each other over and over again And we have very good communication, we talk A LOT (excellent Mercury aspects in our synastry), so that's the key I guess, plus we have so much fun together that we always seek each other's company.
Money problems... Always. Transitional though. But we do have a lot more money now since I work so much, but I also worry more about it. Typical Saturn on Venus, right?

But all in all, our relationship never suffered, we just both take these periods as further evolution of our relationship, and thanks to my bf I've learned that change can never be bad if you work with it and stick to the basics: love for each other. And we don't look elsewhere for the solution to our problems, we never share our current problems with others (to me, that would almost be a kind of a betrayal of our highest loyalty to each other), we work them all out by ourselves and we don't need help from others. We are a team, and a darn good one at that

That's about it I think, I hope I haven't been too boring and hopefully answered some of your questions.

And, Bissie , to ease your mind, it wasn't tough at all ("see above for explanation" )

Hi, Sue!

thaaaaank you, Morgana

it is so nice to know that not all in the relationship department is doomed when Saturn crosses Venus. I can bear with a lot more work but breaking a relationship is my sore point. I simply cannot break another heart even when I want to get out of it, that is my problem. Talking about mushy Piscean Rising here

thanks again
