so what's the deal with these? they aren't discussed in any of the books i have... and as i understand it, it's a planet that solely occupies an element, modality or even area of a horoscope, and is therefore given significant weight. do any of you astrological folks use singletons in your interpretations? could you give me more info on them, perhaps examples? that bob marks guy online does some pretty good readings, using singletons, for celebrities... it just confuses me that a planet in the stark minority in one of these areas would then have a stronger influence. Hi Trippysht Singletons are very interesting. I have Uranus singleton in my chart and I do very much relate to it.Here's a couple of links for you http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/intro/singleton_intro.htm http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000582.html Sue IP: Logged |

hey thanks harpyr for the bumps and to Cat too for the links! i understand what they are now a bit more, so im wondering what kind of weight the knowflake astrologers give them. do some of you just take note of it as one of many factors, or are you like bob marks who sees it as the part of the chart with the most weight? for instance, if a singleton is part of a t-square, but not the focal planet, the singleton is strong enough to lopside the configuation. Yeah, and what if you have TWO singletons? I guess that would dilute the strength of both of them, right?I have Neptune in Scorpio in the 12th, only water planet (squared Venus with about a 3 degree orb) And Moon in Aquarius in the 2nd, only air planet, only "personal" house placement (opposes Mars with a 7 degree orb) Man, no wonder I'm such a mess!
