Hello, I am very confused about conjunctions. First of all how do they occur and when? What does it mean when a planet is at 0.0 degrees? I have two birth charts and both are different, one says I have a T-Square with Venus and Uranus opposite each other and squared by the Moon, and the other says they are too far apart to be a T-Square. One says that Pluto, Jupiter and Neptune are conjunct my Ascendant, the other says only Neptune is.

I would like to know exactly what is a conjunction what the 0.0 degree means? I have Uranus at 0.0 degrees Libra. If you are curious, 5-19-69 is my birth data and the ascendant is early Sag. 8:30pm PST. Does it really matter where you were born or just the time zone? I do not know how others interpret charts when there is a different chart from every astrologer.

What does it mean when Neptune in Scorpio is Singleton?

Thank you,
Natasha

It sounds like the two natal chart developers used different arcs (the distance between the two planets).

Most astrologers use +/-5 degrees, except for the Sun and Moon which uses +/- 10 degrees.

A conjunction of 0.0 means that the two planets are at exactly the same degree.

My 2 cents

Here's a recent discussion on singletons, sthenri.
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001202.html

Conjunctions occur when planets and other celestial objects are so close to each other or to particular lines in charts (house cusps, for example) that their energy merges, and they influence and modify each other. Like Lanny says, an exact conjunction is 0.0, but a little distance is allowed, called an "orb" of influence - if the planets are too many degrees apart, it can't be called conjunct anymore.

The location of birth does matter because it helps make the time of birth and the calculation of the individual chart more precise. The more vague and general the time and location, the more vague and general the end-product and descriptions will be.

cheers,
Lunargirl

Thank you, I was born in San Francisco, CA.

I was reading about 0.0 degree planets somewhere but I lost the link. I do not think I have a singleton, because Uranus is at 0.0 degrees, if that's Libra then I do not have a singleton, if it's not then mercury is a singleton. It's hard to tell, because Uranus is conjunct Pluto, Jupiter, the Midheave and North Node in Virgo in the tenth house. I do like to read about singletons for a friend of mine who has Neptune and Saturn as a singleton and a T-Square. I wonder what effect that would have one me because of my Neptune on the Ascendant and my friend's Saturn is conjunct my Ascendant. Something exciting always happens.
