Hello, Knowing so many sixth house suns, there are some real patterns. If you are out there show yourself, you are not alone here.

Sixth House suns are insecure about their apperance, intelligence, and career, but they are really the the hardest working and most deserving. Most have father issues and act like the "father" to their friends. Education and skills are important. Behind the scenes there is always a Sixth house sun who everyone depends on. If you feel that you need to be heard and seen, take a bow and hear the applause.

I have a sixth house Sun (in Scorpio) and there are definitely times when I feel that way. Actually, I have what they call a "stellium" of planets in the sixth house (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn (I think)).

I have my sun in Sagittarius in the 6th house. Its very strange. I also have my my venus, mercury and Uranus all in Sagittarius in the 6th, plus Jupiter in Scorpio in the 6th. I'm definitely not the one that people rely on for a lot of things. If anyone has any insights on my chart, I would really appreciate their input!

Well you are going through some big things right now, here is a quick forecast from astro.com

Uranus square Uranus: On a pivot

13 March 2004 until 24 April 2004: The first time this influence occurs it signifies that you are no longer an adolescent and must take your position as an adult. It signifies rebellion against established standards, which is the reason so many young people go through a period of rejecting everything that they have been taught. It is necessary for you to experience your own individuality by asserting it against someone else's. There is nothing wrong in this, and the constant challenges of youth help keep society alive. It also helps you, because you need to be on your own and find your own ways of doing things, unhampered by the ways of the past, which may no longer be appropriate.

Even if you do not go through an especially rebellious phase, this will still be a time of intense and rapid change, when you go out into the world and pursue your own goals without the comfort and security of doing what your elders tell you. Doing what you are told may not always have been pleasant, but it did allow you to avoid responsibility, which you will have to take on now.

Jupiter square Venus: Warmth of feeling

17 March 2004 until 5 April 2004: This influence can create within you genuine warmth of feeling and the desire to give and express love to others. Unfortunately it can also make you feel very unenterprising and passive, so that you wait for things to come to you when you ought to go out after them. It is very hard to tell which of these two broad classes of response to expect, but generally speaking, the first is more common.

On occasions this influence may mean that you will attract someone with whom you could have a significant relationship, but it may not be an easy relationship. It is likely to be quite constructive, however, and whether or not you realize it immediately, you will gain from it in wisdom and maturity.

The principal difficulty with this influence is that it inspires rather compulsive feelings, which do not leave you enough room to maneuver and handle the new relationship properly. Because you act compulsively, your feelings may overwhelm the other person. And it is very important to realize that there is always a certain tension between closeness and the love of freedom. It is quite possible to combine these into a very creative relationship that will be pleasant and constructive for both of you, but you will have to calm yourself down a bit and proceed with less excitement. If you can do this easily, this influence should be very good for you.

This influence stimulates your love of beauty. Make every effort to surround yourself with beauty, such as pleasant surroundings, art objects or beautiful scenery. With some people, this feeling becomes perverted into a love of gaudy, showy things that have no real worth. To each his or her own, of course, but do not get seduced into wasting money on some trifle that you will regret in soberer moments.

Uranus square Sun: Some obstacle

21 March 2004 until 9 May 2004: During this time sudden, unexpected events will test your ability to withstand change and to stay on the path you have chosen. Each of us sets forth certain objectives that we must accomplish in order to successfully maintain our sense of being a unique and strong individual. This influence seems to ask the question, "Do you really believe in what you are doing? Can you perform your tasks in the face of upsets and challenges from the outside world and even from psychological forces within yourself?" How well you withstand this challenge will determine how well your life will go during the next several years.

On one hand you may suddenly realize that because of circumstances that have developed over the last several years you can no longer do what you want without making a lot of changes. It may be necessary to struggle and break free from circumstances that you encounter in your work or with authorities, such as employers or government agencies. There may even be limiting circumstances in your personal life, such as a bad love relationship or parental domination. At any rate some obstacle is preventing you from doing what you have to do, and you want to rebel against it.

On the other hand, you may be doing perfectly well in all of these matters. Your job may be perfectly satisfactory, and your personal life may be fulfilling, a real expression of who you are. But something comes along, some unexpected incident that forces you to reevaluate what you are doing. For example, at work someone may throw you a "curve ball," such as an employer suddenly questioning your effectiveness in work or a similar disruption. You may have to reevaluate your relationships to the various groups you belong to.

If you are doing what you should in terms of your life and experience, these disruptive events will only be a test that you will withstand successfully. But if you find the energies of this period destructive beyond your control, you should consider what changes must be made either to minimize these effects or to turn them into positive ones.

Jupiter square Mercury: Big plans

29 March 2004 until 1 May 2004: This influence signifies increased mental activity and a desire to communicate to others something that you consider important. Whether or not your message is important, you probably think it is, so you should take the time to see if that is true. There is no point in loading people up with your ideas and opinions unless they are worth something. And when you speak to others at this time it is vital that you listen to their response. For although you have big ideas and plans, there is a tendency now to overlook details. You may be unwilling to listen to criticism, but if you listen and heed what you are told, this can be an excellent time for making decisions, planning, negotiating and concluding deals or agreements. But this will happen only if you listen to others' opinions.

This is usually a time of optimism and positive feelings. You have confidence in your ideas and are able to get them across. Communications of all kinds are important to you; for example, you may conceivably do some writing at this time.

It is also important not to overextend yourself. Make sure that your plans are no larger than your ability to cope with them. Sometimes with this influence the pace can get pretty hectic, because you have to handle many different affairs at once. This is when sloppy thinking can become especially dangerous.

During this period you may encounter resistance to your ideas and opinions from a number of sources. It is a good time to examine your ideas and see how well they really hold up in an argument. It is a good time to change any views that do not hold up because you can easily enlarge your viewpoint under this influence. You feel no need to be petty or quarrelsome, but you do feel compelled to defend the ideas that are important to you. Any truly important beliefs will hold up during this confrontation and become more a part of your basic mental pattern than ever.

Wow you have mars in Capricorn/8th house, you have strong desires and a turbulent love life. It's rough sometimes with your Mother, and you may feel unloved by the world but you are actually very lucky. Venus in Sag makes you independent.

Jupiter is a singleton in Scorpio-You are high minded and believe in the power of prayer, religion, and education. You will stop at nothing to better yourself and you have the makings of an expert politician. people like you.
Read up on singletons because Jupiter is a powerful one for influencing others. You are an excellent salesperson and attractive. Watch what you eat and drink, especially with all those sixth house placements.

Just make sure to control your temper and irritation with others and you will be fine.

Here is your chart in case you want to show it to anyone else, or post elsewhere

Sadly enough, you are more than correct Natasha, about our insecurity issues and "dad" issues.
I have a sixth house Virgo sun, and boy, do I feel the affects of this placement, and it tortures me. I have always felt unattractive, both in a general sense and to the opposite sex, even when I get compliments, and feel majorly unappreciated.

Thank you Natasha for helping us sixth house Suns feel loved and proudly seen, for the obsessive workers we are...

Virgo, no that's for Mercurial Sag, I haven't had a chance for yours yet but I will get to it.

Virgo Artist-you are correct, but it gets better as you get older, much better. Like a steep hill that you climb, you start to see the the end, and you are stronger.

In vedic astrology this placement means
"Spiritual Warrior"
Fighter and Protector
One who fights for social justice

Hello Virgo,
I used 10:30 as a time. If you look at chinese astrology, each hour causes your ascendant to take on the symbol for that hour. 10:30pm would be the symbol of the rat/saggitarius. So you ascendant would be similar to Sag. Do you seem like a Sag ascendant? Are you open, and straightforward? Enjoy the outdoors? That is another way to guess the hour.

The hour of 9pm belongs to the Boar/Scorpio, and 11pm belongs to Capricorn/Cow or Ox http://www.chineseastrologyonline.com
is a good site to explore the symbols. If you relate these to Ascendant signs and read up on the physical characteristics. You may find yourself.

Not everyone follows Chinese astrology but I find it helpful. I am very much like a Libra ascendant, the hour of the Dog.

Here are your placements

Planetary positions
planet sign degree house motion
Sun Virgo 16°47'56 04 direct
Moon Scorpio 26°40'49 06 direct
Mercury Virgo 20°28'55 04 direct
Venus Scorpio 02°01'45 05/6 direct
Mars Capricorn 16°38'33 08 direct
Jupiter Pisces 18°00'24 10 retrograde
Saturn Sagittarius 03°57'49 06 direct
Uranus Sagittarius 18°25'44 07 direct
Neptune Capricorn 03°02'46 07 stationary (D)
Pluto Scorpio 05°24'45 06 direct
True Node Aries 21°18'17 11 direct

It looks like unless your ascendant is in an air sign, you are lacking air. And your moon is conjunct Pluto. Your ascendant at 10:30pm would be Gemini.

here is another good website to explore http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/TOClessons.htm
Run by a Capricorn.

At that birthtime you would have a 4th house Sun. Are you attached to your home and family?
Your Sun could be in the 3rd, 4th or 5th. Read up on those and see which fits you. You will just know which is right for you.

Does this fit you?

Sun in the Fourth House

The warmth and security of your home are very important, for you need to know that you have a place to withdraw to. Your parents are very important people in your life, and their attitudes will have a tremendous impact on you.

You are likely to be a quiet person with strong feelings and emotions, and you keep to yourself a lot. But you aren't really weak or retiring, because by going into yourself, you gain strength.

Although you may be quite successful when you grow up, you will not care much for being famous. You are much more concerned with living up to your own inner standards and having a rewarding personal life.

When you feel good and secure about yourself, you like to bring people into your home and share your good feelings with them.

Moon in Scorpio

You have very intense feelings, which can be a strong force in your life. But you may find it hard to understand your feelings, because they are so complicated and deep. You want your whole life to be intense and very deep.

If you don't get a great deal of reassurance from the people who are close to you, you will feel lonely and misunderstood.

You are very fond of anything secret and mysterious, such as stories about the supernatural. Your need to learn about yourself will help you understand others as well.

Try not to get so wrapped up in your emotions, however. It would be better not to take them so seriously.

Moon in the Sixth House

There is a strong connection between your moods and your physical health. If you feel unhappy or depressed for any length of time, you are likely to become sick as a result. You don't take very good care of yourself when you are depressed, and that leaves you open to illness

It may be hard for you to work in a planned and disciplined way. But you enjoy work that keeps your own world neat and orderly.

Usually you prefer to work for others, because you would rather be directed by a stronger will than your own.

When you are an adult you are likely to be interested in a career in some field involving home services or products, health care, food services or agriculture.

Take Care, Natasha

Natasha,
thanks so much for your reply. It's kind of hard sometimes to understand my chart when I have so much in Sagittarius but then also Mars Capricorn in the 8th and my Jupiter in Scorpio really throws me. Do you know where I can find out more about all this?

I have Sag Sun in the Sixth, conj. Neptune and Mercury. Boy, I'm a real hard worker and I do feel unappreciated sometimes, but not always, maybe because of the Sun sign - Saggies are optimists
But the father things - oh yes, tell me about it. I think all of us, who have Suns in the Sixth are actually very capable in their jobs and should be more self confident

Thanks, Natasha, for the comprehensive explanation
