I've been studying Astrology since I was 12 years old, thanks to my Sagittarius mom, (who quickly grew bored of it and moved on after 3 or so months) And sometimes I feel like all the character analysis I've read and internalized has kind of blurred my own personal identity. And I'm so very tolerant of the shortcoming of others because I believe we all do the best we can with what we've got. I'm very passive, as I've evolved beyond the point of having to "prove" myself. (usually, but there ARE exceptions) I think all my philisophic contemplation has neutralized my own personality. Anyone else ever get this feeling?

If it makes you feel any better, I feel like a Leo sometimes (but then I've got my Mars conj. my NN in the 10th in that sign, so eh).To try and say something constructive, I haven't studied astrology for that long, so I can't say that that applies to me - and I certainly haven't evolved much I can say, however, that the above sounds very much what it's like to be someone w/ strong Piscean and/or Neptunian influences in their natal chart. I find that I so often must struggle simply to maintain some semblance of a coherent ego.

Yeah, I feel like a ball of silly putty sometimes, taking on the form/shape of whatever is "manipulating" me. Then I ask myself..."but what do I want?" and you know, the answere is never very clear. I guess that's the problem. I don't really contemplate much on what I want. I guess what I really want is for other people to be happy. I'm fine, so I put my energy into helping those who DON'T feel fine. Is that how Pisces feel? Sorta?IP: Logged |

I think of Pisces as a sign of transcendence, universality, and the transpersonal, and believe that once a person's consciousness has taken in Piscean notions such as "we-all-are-One", they begin to transcend their own personality (or chart). Acting in the world relating to a more cosmic, abstract reality can feel uncomfortable in the "personal" signs --Aries through Virgo -- as an Aries I feel this too, and imagine it would feel especially odd for a Leo, a sign very much defined by grand personality. I mean, where's the "me" once the truth of the "we" has popped up?Like John Lennon wrote: http://www.oasisinet.com/discography/us/wonderwall/iamthewalrus.html quote: I am he as you are he as you are me as we are all together -- I Am The Walrus
Could be that you've temporarily overanalyzed yourself, but sounds more like you've worked through a lot of your personal issues and values, and can now synthesize with others -- very Pisces, Neptunian -- so kudos! But hey - remember that no amount of calm or inner peace can make a Lion invisible. cheers, Lunargirl IP: Logged |

"Thanks for that, Lunargirl! You've said pretty much what I feel, and with such eloquence too! So I've evolved to a Piscean frame of mind. How cool is that? ( but where do i go from here? ) Surely others who've studied Astrology for any length of time share this peculiar feeling, no? How about you, Lunargirl? IP: Logged |

Hi, I'm a pisces, moon in leo (talk about conflict) and aquarius ascendant. "I don't really contemplate much on what I want. I guess what I really want is for other people to be happy. I'm fine, so I put my energy into helping those who DON'T feel fine. Is that how Pisces feel?" I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want. I'm one of those people who says you have to love urself first before you love anyone else. But the moment anyone is in trouble I forget myself completely. No matter what I am going through at the time I drop everything and devote myself to solving the problem at hand. I guess us pisces thrive on other people's happiness. But we do want it for ourselves also. As for you overanalyzing yourself, I know exactly where you're coming from. i've read so much about pisces I now feel obligated to act like one, which is not necessarily a good thing. For example, I'm not that neat but I do put some effort in keeping my room etc clean, but after reading how pisces love a mess I sometimes feel guilty cleaning up! Or when I'm strong I remember how we are supposed to passive and avoid arguments. I feel I have lost my personal identity somehow in trying to live up to (or down!) the pisces sign. Also, I spend a lot of time analyzing my friends and those around me. Knowing about the signs helps me to understand people's behavior and so it often stops me from blaming them when they do something wrong. Maybe a good thing or not, I don't know

Hi Lioneye Where is Neptune in your natal chart? Also I'm wondering if you've checked what's happening in your progressed chart? Sue IP: Logged |

Hi, Cat.. Dahling...how are you?Neptune is right at home in my chart, in the 12th house (scorpio). It's in a loose square (5.07 orb) with Venus in Leo. I don't know enough yet about astrology to understand transits and how they affect us. But this feels more permanent than that. IP: Logged |

Hi Lioneyes I'm doing pretty good, thanks for asking So how do you feel Neptune in your 12th?Actually I wasn't thinking about transits - I was meaning your progressed natal chart. Have you looked at that? Progressed charts are very interesting. I've only recently started to look at them myself. I think you'll find it very interesting to look at your progressed chart especially for the years major changes happened in your life. Sue IP: Logged |

**hhhhhhhmmmmmmphhhrr***frustration... I don't know what that is, a progressed chart. I don't think I would know how to interpret it. Can you get those at Astro.com?Neptune in the 12th...That's too not-of-this-world to interpret. I can't seem to grasp it, let alone describe it. I think it just sits quiet and minds it's own business mostly. I THINK. but you know how it is with that stuff. It operates behind the scenes, hidden from the light of day IP: Logged |

Hi Lioneyes Yes go to astro.com and in the chart options select Progressed chart. Just translate it how you would translate a natal chart. A progressed chart shows how you have progressed in life - it doesn't override your natal chart (as that will always be with you) the progressed just shows how you're growing...if that makes sense. Hi Lioneyes Is there any way you can really confirm your DOB? You need that as if it's not correct then your progressed chart will be incorrect. Sue IP: Logged |

Howdy, Lioneye, yup, I feel Piscean in a lot of ways too, although I do have Saturn in the 12th House natally, so that contributes. But it makes sense, that once we discover our astrological sign, an archetype really, that we exercise our free will to evolve into more concious people. Aries gets a bad rap for being selfish, aggressive, etc., and you betcha I've tried to transcend that! I don't want to be a caricature of anything, thanks, just my best self. I've been studying astrology for a long time, too, and occasionally I really have to get away from living my life "on paper" and get out there and live it-- that helps the analysis scuttle back onto the back burner. That pisces world-weary (I almost wrote "world-watery") tolerance and compassion needs balance, like anything else, lest it allows us to let too much slip away. I guess it depends on how you handle it -- do you expereince it as a problem, or is it just puzzling?Cat is right of course about progressed signs (hello, Cat!), as that might give a clue to why you're so Piscean now-- our chart progresses so that we 'grow' into becoming other signs, like an overlay on top of our natal chart -- which could astrologically explain your feelings. That Neptune in the 12th could do it, too -- Pisces' home house, as you know. You do need an accurate birthtime-- can't you get an attestation of birth from the hospital where you were born? I eventually got one for a $10.00 administrative fee. But where do you go after evolving into a Piscean frame of mind? Hmm. Good question. Being a Leo, bay-bee, I'd say take it on the road, or onstage! Do you think you need a focus for it, or does it sit just right, spiritually? Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Oh, Lunargirl...how you make me think. I'll contemplate on those things you said and get back to you, ok? Very thought provoking concepts. Cat, that's the birthtime my mom swears by, but I put the question mark because Sag rising just doesn't seem to reasonate all that strongly with me. I suppose there could be other reasons for that. (Piscean frame of mind...what a world this would be if we all adopted that!) IP: Logged | |
