Hey all ya'll people with astrological knowledge surpassing my own:

I have a fun 7th House thing going on.
I have looked at it, studied it, pondered it, wondering what I may do to work with the energies lying within in order to knead them into their fullest potential positive manifestation, but to no avail.

If you (yes, you) would like to help me out, here's the info needed for quick view of my conundrum:

Mar 12 1980
Fairfax, VA
21:43 / 9:43 PM (EST)

(For full impact, include both Chiron and the Asteroid Eros.)

Thankya, thankya for any aid you might be able to offer; if ya can't presently help, thankya for reading

Thanks for reading

You must've been drawn to the 11th House Saturn in Virgo sympatico going on (that's where mine is, too).

Hi proxieme,

I found this link that discusses Chiron in Taurus, and mentions a conjunct with Venus, but wouldn't you know it, they skip the 7th House... anyway FYI, http://www.korrnet.org/aaet/papers/pch-chirontaurus.html

At a glance, you have some quite wonderful 7th House aspects-- you're so lucky your 1st House Uranus doesn't oppose anything in there. I think your Chiron/Venus aspect will help you find and live some very powerful, beautiful and healing love and partnership experiences, someone who is beautiful, steady and smart about emotion and spirituality, who fits in with your family (OK, Taurus is stubborn, so we're talking a human kind of heaven, right? ). This desire might make you a little more selective than your impatient Venus/Mars trine might like -- you want all that NOW, but you don't want just any ole body. The aspect to watch, IMHO, is Venus and Neptune (what is that... inconjunct? Sorry, I can't remember the degrees of the non-major aspects! ). It can make it hard to see a person for who they are, mistaking romance and glamour for what you really need... so it's extra good you have Venus in steady Taurus, because that will usually give you time to allow the illusion to wear off -- which might explain whay many look good at first, then you feel disillusioned -- it's your Venus/Neptune and the steadiness of Taurus working out that an attraction isn't really worthwhile (although it might be fun, without big romantic expectations).

Check out Venus/Neptune aspects here: http://www.astrodatabank.com/AS/ASVenusNeptune.htm

Anyhow, hope this was helpful -- I wasn't sure from your question whether you were interested in input about how to use those energies on a personal level, or in some transpersonal way.

cheers,
Lunargirl

LGirl -

Thank you

You gave me an entirely different perspective on this aspect
I had focused on the doom and gloom potentials, so you're description is extremely helpful.
And I hadn't even considered the Neptune aspect b/f since it wasn't major, although your insight into it effects does shed quite a bit of light.

Do you think that my natal Eros, given its proximity to my Venus and & Chiron, should be considered when working through my 7th, or am I jumping too far onto the asteroid bandwagon?

Again, thank you - You's be too cool.
Now I'm gonna...go watch "Chicago" for a dollar (as I'm a student, and student discounts are a good thing).

Hey, proxieme, glad to be of help. Sometimes we need a different viewpoint than our own!

Unfortunately all I know about Eros in the Houses is what I just read on this link, but fortunately I'm also about to post it for you: try http://www.nrg.com.au/~d-falcon/Eros_by_House.htm I don't really have an opinion on asteroids, yet... just starting to do my own research, actually. Like, just discovered I have Eros in Taurus, like you. You would have to double check to see if it it important by aspect, I would think, and by transit.

From what it says, seems to me Eros in the 7th just reinforces the effects of your having Venus and Chiron there. How does proxieme spell s-e-l-e-c-t-i-v-e? And maybe ask yourself-- how do you relate to the energy and characteristics of Taurus, since it so strongly signals to you about your needs?

I think many people are not constituted for lifelong relationships. In a sense, these are not in fashion, despite what most people claim about themselves. Divorce, break-ups and a new person are way easier than sticking with the old. This 7th House of yours, however, says that you desire a true marriage, IMHO. Lifelong marriage (from conventional marriage to handfasting to living together) means a long time, and long-standing relationships go through many transformations, joys and sorrows. In a sense, they're like having several different relationships with one person. Some of them will be emotional marriages. Who knows what form they will take; but intimacy with one person is truly a LOL, and given your choices, and all factors of your chart, you may be be able to experience this.

Just find someone that you like no matter how crazy they are, and someone who likes you no matter how crazy you are. It really helps, in the long run.
