Shaun, sometimes I think you're an alien, you're so friggen brilliant.

You should meet Ash_14.

Very interesting, Shaun! Excellent thoughts.

It would be interesting if you could find an experienced intuitive with a background in crystal healing, who works also in a Caycean framework -- maybe someone in the Reiki community -- and compare notes, or embark on a research project with them. Wish I could recommend somebody!

Anyhow, here are a couple Lindaland links on previous discussions regarding gems... the second is mainly about favourites, but both contain a few links that perhaps might interest you.

I find it personally striking that Cayce decribes a relationship between Thyroid and cyan and copper... I've had thyroid problems for many years, and while it was in remission, found an incredible turquoise ring with with copper inclusions, which I wear all the time. It's a large greeny-cyan cabochon with coppery swirls that reminds me of Planet Earth.

And amber is interesting too-- not a stone, it's a resin deposit that conducts electricity, hence its nickname "electrum". Wonder where it fits in, or if it does.

cheers,
Lunargirl

Oh, I just thought you and her could debate for HOURS and HOURS, whethor there's any validity to Astrology at all. She's of the hard and fast..."Show me scientific proof" school of thought, and she basically signed into this forum just to debate with us. (I think we may have started to sway her opinion a little, because she's just such a typical Libra.) Very diplomatic in all her "discussions", and she replies very thoroughly to every post that's directed at her, much like yourself.

I figure, if anyone could deliver a convincing arguement to her about the validity of astrology, it would be you, because you have a very scientific mind as well.

Yeah, someone made that distinction in one of their arguements. I wasn't even aware that there was a difference.

I said the same thing, "why would someone come to a forum about something they think is bunk? Just to aggrevate and challenge everyone there. I thought it seemed mean, actually, but then I thought "yeah, ok. I could see a Gemini doing it just to be mischievious, or an Aries looking for a scrap, or a LIBRA looking for a good, meaty debate, and guess what sign Ash_14 is?

But, like I said, I don't think she's as skeptical anymore. She hasn't been around lately either. Hmmm.

HI Shaun,

How are you doing? I think that for me, I feel more at peace or have some added inner strength when I wear Apache Tears (it is also known as Obsidian, but it is the clear obsidian that is made by Volcanic rock). The rock is a smokey gray color that is transparent, but when viewed closly you can see little speck in it. It is said that Obsidian - Apache Tears allows the wearer to see into another, to act as a mirror and reflect what is inside to the person they are in contact with. It is also as hard to cut as glass as it shatters so easily. I have a pendant (in the shape of a tear) with matching earings that took me almost a year to find. I also have a rock pendant that hangs from my review mirror and , I think, adds protection to my car. LOL

Anyway, I always have a pouch which contains 4 stones hanging in my house. It hangs on a Northern wall and the stones represent the 4 directions / elements.

After that, I would say that I feel also a strength when wearing my Turquoise pendant and gold.
