Okay here is the Squares in Relationships topic. Have Fun:>

Question: Is it the sun squares that are the challenge compared to Venus or Moon Squares? Two couples I know who are very much in love have his moon opposite her ascendant. One has her moon opposite his sun, venus, and neptune.

Some food for thought...

Grandparents on Dad's side - Leo man, Aries woman, happily married until she died in 2001.

Grandparents on Mom's side - Aries man, Libra woman, separated after 30 years of marriage, remained separated until he died - then she died 7 months later

Mom & Dad - Sagittarius woman & Gemini man, separated after 16 years of marriage. She remarried (a Libra). He hasn't remarried (yet)

I realize there's no squares there. In these examples the opposition appears to be the challenging aspect.

Squares generally mean difficulties in the two energies merging. One's Moon square other planets generally indicate emotional conflicts of one type or another, depending upon the second planet energy involved.

However, such difficulties can be used to build a strong relationship if each partner is aware enough of the problem and willing top work at reducing the disruption.

Just my 2 cents

Squares in relationships? Not always a bad thing. I guess it depends what you want in a relationship. I find as a Virgo, and maybe it's because both Gemini and Virgo are ruled by Mercury it's words that are important to me, it's words that move me, but maybe it's just because I am a woman, maybe Astrology has nothing to do with it at all, but I am very much in tune to the beauty of the English language and particularly when related to romance. There are some things that should never be lost, language being one but unfortunately some of our most lovely words have been long lost.

I would never try and tell a person that their relationship with someone is doomed to fail from a bad astrological compatibility. All bad aspects can turn into good aspects and all good aspects can turn into bad aspects.

My parents have a lot of bad aspects in their chart, she's a Pisces, he's a Libra and both have a lot of Aries influence!

But the thing is, they've been married for almost 27 years! granted they fight a lot and get on each others nerves, but thats just normal stuff, I'm glad that they're still there, and being nice to each other!
