Hi All, I noticed that on the thread "Who's been your best lover" we started to kind of go off and talk about what we wanted or needed in a lover. I wanted to pose the question about what attracts you in the first place and what turns you off. For me, I have noticed that there may be more to my attraction to power than I ever admitted, thus verifying my Pluto in the first house conjuncting my Ascendent. I am attracted to men that are powerful in the sense that they stand for what they believe in and won't buckle because they are weak willed. It is a major turn off for me to see a strong man that totally crumbles in the face of crises (provided it is not a sudden death, illness etc.). For example, I have a business partner that I had always admired until I started to get to know him and found out that he has this infatuation with me. Recently, he has tried to get my attention by acting like a cross between a school boy and a very weak sniveling man (I feel so awful for saying that). But I want to scream "Hey, where is the dude I knew that could take on corporation?". But then, maybe I never saw him for what he truely was until now. Hmm, so what about you all? IP: Logged |

Hi Cat, I have Venus in Sagittarius in my 3rd house conjuncting my sun. I posted on the Venus Lesson about Venus in Sag. I think I demonstrate a combination of both, like a need for freedom and a need to see strength in conviction. It's like I have to make sure that the man is so much stronger than me, if I am tougher than he is, then it just shatters my view of them. That doesn't mean they can't be sentimental, but like a woman with Venus in Sag, if they get too mushy / sentimental / or possessive too fast...man I am out the door. LOL See that is soooooo Venus in Sag. It's all in the chase and the chase is soooooo much fun, in a flirty sort of way. 1Scorp, LOL...yeah I think I know what you mean...It's that fine line between being sweet and mean...being romantic and stoic. It boils down too this....dudes, please do not have smaller cojones than me or I will walk all over you on my way out the door. Oh, my Mars is in Pisces. I sometimes fall in love with a part of the person (but not in a romantic sort of way...more of an idealistic sort) then I discover the rest of them and ewwwwwww.
I do like having my Mars in Pisces, even though some think it is in it's detriment. I read on one site the following: Mars is in aversion to its Aries domicile here being in the 12th sign from it. This has the effect of inhibiting spontaneous action and forthrightness of motivation. There is the hint that agnoia is present (because Saturn's joy is in the 12th) with regard to motivations meaning that the native may not be very aware of what drives him/her. Because the 12th represents the unconscious, and Mars is full of energy, they are often restless and find it hard to release their energy directly. This often leads to indecision where there are two or more opposing viewpoints. Some may dislike competetion. However, if they are consciously aware of their intentions, they can be quite adept at hiding their motivations from others. Despite the restlessness associated with this energy, they are often careful of how they express it because it is also the 5th sign from its other domicile, Scorpio. This is a fairly good position for those involved in covert operations like spying or for investigators of crime or the paranormal. They may be talented in more fluid martial arts styles like Tai Chi. According to Ptolemy, Mars is in its own trigon for both day and night while in this sign and is therefore essentially dignified. "I wanted to pose the question about what attracts you in the first place and what turns you off."I don't really know. Because if I did, I'd close myself off to other possibilities. But I guess that's a typical Venus in Pisces answer. Hehe. IP: Logged |

I give just about any girl a chance that's cute at first... but she has to win me over with her wit after that! My Gemini bestfriend out of nowhere starting a fling with this other Gemini girl. They had spent two nights together (no sex) and were already talking of HOW GREAT sex is gonna be and blahblahblah, you know the typical Air Signs "in the clouds" thing, talking it to death, but anyways that got into a REAL deep conversation different things they've done with sex, like someone dancing for you and etc., everything's comin out, and my buddy tells her he slept with a stripper who danced for him... She immediately became cold, said she couldn't believe he'd do that. And in the morning said, "Why don't we pretend that this didn't ever happen!" Ouch! Guess that turned her off!? And yes Pid, from the belly-button to the back, can't help it... me & her were pornstars together! IP: Logged |

I suppose I did neglect the physical thing. Yes, I have to be completely attracted to the person. Physically: I love men with nice smiles, nice firm butts, strong jaw...gotta have that! I am turned on by athletic men - totally in shape, but not like "gym-rats". I love strong thighs, because with me, they will need some endurance. LOL...sorry, bad sag!! I used to have thing major thing for men with blue eyes and blonde hair. It got to be so bad that I realized all the guys I had gone out with over a 4 year period looked alike. Still, I am a sucker for blue eyed or hazel eyed men. Major turn off: dudes that are hairy or have hygiene issues. IP: Logged |

God-dam-nit, I wish I had blue or green eyes!!! Ergh! I don't know how many girls I've heard say they fell for him "because of his eyes"... Whether he was physically or socially attractive... it didn't matter, they just went weak when they looked into his eyes. Dammit, I'm jealous and deprived! IP: Logged |

Leo, I know you wasn't talking bad about a gemini... were you Let me set this straight... There is not a damn thing wrong with a Gem in the sack!! There! I let it out! He is as kinky, passionate and sensual (all in one session) that you could possibly ask for Has that scorpio moon to play with also... There ..... SHEEZ! Talking about sex? Doesn't bother him... yet, I'm sure he'd rather be doing it than talking about it Blue eyes... hmmmm... I like all eye colors... don't think I have a particular favorite. Oh yeah, Leo were you talking about someone complimenting a Gem on his eyes? They have a mischevious... "let's see what we can get into" type of glint to them... it's a wicked gleam Cat: Did you say mars was going to be in Pisces for 7 years? What does that do to someone which has a pisces mars? (The Gem has it). IP: Logged |
