Hello, everyone! I found this forum yesterday while I was searching on the internet for astrology sites. This seems like a really good forum, with lots of members and interesting topics! I have been interested in astrology as a hobby for the past two years, and I am in learning more & discussing it w/ others who have an interest in it as well. SweetScorp PS. I'm a scorpio (hence, the name sweetscorp lol), w/ moon in sagittarius, and gemini rising. I dunno, I think it's kind of ineresting lol.

Hi Sweetscorp; welcome!  I'm sure you'll like it here; the people are great, and there's so much information! BTW, I'm a Gemini Sun, Scorpio Moon and Pisces Rising...so we have a few signs in common. I look forward to your future posts. ------------------

Hi, Moondust. No, I haven't read any books by Linda Goodman. If there are any books by her that you could recommend, I'd greatly appreciate it :-)

How much free time do you have because I would recommend all of them! It's hard to just choose one, but my favorite is Love Signs. I started by reading everything about scorpio first then I finished the rest. I also enjoyed Sun Signs and Venus Trines At Midnight, if you enjoy poetry. I would save Star Signs and Gooberz for last, but that's just my opinion. Love Signs and Sun Signs are a great way to get to know yourself and others, and how you relate to other signs. If it weren't for astrology, I would probably never talk to anyone for not being able to understand them! It has helped me to learn why people do the things they do and to forgive them because after all, it was totally natural for their particular sign to screw up in certain ways! One thing I read in a book that sticks with me (I have about 50+ astrology books so I don't quite remember which one, but I think it's Robin MacNaughton's Sun Sign Personality Guide) is that one thing that holds a scorpio back in life, especially from gaining emotional control is the inability to cry. Plunge into the pain intensely and you'll quickly come out on the other side. As simple as it sounds, this little piece of advice has helped me get through some rough times. As a scorpio with scorp venus and mars, Aries moon with Capricorn rising, I don't cry very easily. I had to learn how to let go, and in return I learned the meaning of control of one's emotions. As long as I try to control myself and not others, I'm doing good. Anyway, sorry I went on and on. Just wanted to pass on a little advice!

Hi, I just wanted to respond to Moondust's comment about Scorpios and their inability to cry. I know we're a water sign, and so therefore we're supposed to be emotional, but scorpios aren't supposed to be expressive with their emotions. I have my sun, venus, and mercury in scorpio, and I would consider myself to be an emotional person, but I do have a tendency to cry when I feel extremely overwhelmed, or frustrated. I've never read anything about Scorpios being unable to cry and express their emotions. Maybe it has something to do w/ my moon placements; I have my moon in 7th house & moon conjunct neptune, so maybe that's an indication of being expressive emotionally, I'm not sure. If anyone would like to shed some light on that for me, please feel free lol. SweetScorp
