G'Day Guys I've spent a bit of time looking into Vedic (or Indian) astrology and found - to my astonishment - that it seems to be quite accurate for me. Even though in Vedic astrology I'm an Aries (with Aries moon and ascendant) - it sounds quite like me - even though in Western Astrology I'm a Taurus. And proud Has anyone else looked into Vedic Astrology? What did you find? Does your profile sound like you? Here is a link to play with -> http://www.yourplanets.com/ LOL Nebel ------------------ If you want to view paradise - simply look around and view it! IP: Logged |

Hey Nebel!I checked out that site. pretty cool I really liked the bit of how it shows the planetary influences, even though i'm not sure what colour represents which planet, i had a lot of red, blue and green i think someone needs to invent another type of horoscope because nothing describes me right! i need one that puts togeter my western, chinese, Vedic and this other one that i forgot the name of! ------------------ " I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times, in life after life, in age after age, forever." ~Rabindranath Tagore~ ~sigh~ IP: Logged |

well i m very much interested in vedic astrology because it has really worked wonders for me REALLY!!!!!!VEDIC ASTROLOGY is not psycoanalytical as western astrology is . it is much more BASIC .it can find the root case of a problem (say an illness)and tries to eliminate it from the root . i have been reserching V.A for about an year and so i know quite a lot about it. i will post more messages if u r interested.IP: Logged |

I have seen my Vedic chart but I am much more like my Western chart. I am a Sagittarius in Western Astrology and a Scorpio in Vedic Astrology but I am much more like a Sagittarius. I have Moon in Virgo in Western Astrology but close to Leo so I have a few Leo Moon traits but mostly Virgo. In Vedic Astrology I have Moon in Leo. I dont' know what my Rising sign is in Vedic Astrology but it's Virgo in Western which makes me tend to be reserved and shy sometimes.IP: Logged |

Thanx for your replies guys Heya super_bull - cool name I would be very interested in anything you can post on Vedic Astrology - if you wouldn't mind I'm very interested in the karmic/spiritual side of this system. I'm very new to this and it is still a little overwhelming - but I want to learn I figured last night that I may relate to being called an Aries becasue in my (Western)chart Taurus is in the first house, and i also have a few planets in the first house as well. Either way the psycoanalytical side doesn't really interest me as much as the spiritual/karmic side... LOL Nebel P.S. Moonat - maybe you just need to take the good bits from all those systems you mentioned and run with that Good Luck ------------------ If you want to view paradise - simply look around and view it! hi NEBEL nice to know u r interested the first step to learning VA is to consider the planets as GODS ( each having his own personal characteristics)and to consider the chart as a divine manifestation of the interaction bet ween the planets. VA is also very predictive. in VA ur chart can be ur means of achieving MOKSH (spiritual perfection). there r 9 planets (NAVAGRAHAS)in VA. SUN,MOOM,MERCURY,VENUS,MARS.JUPITER,SATURN,RAHU & KETU. rahu &ketu r the 2 nodes of the moon 180 degrees apart . they r ur karma indicator.there is another thing u need to take care of SIDEREAL &TROPICAL zodiac. the VA degrees r 25degrees behind the WA degrees. for eg my sun is at 11 deg taurus but according to VA my sun is at 17 deg aries. a lot of people r shocked by this means that the super fast gemini becomes a slow taurus and so on and so forth. but the one thing u have to keep in mind is that the sign meanings in VA&WA r not the same. for eg in WA appearence is denoted by the 1st house. but in VA it is denoted by the 2nd house.(so it becomes the same because of the 25deg difference). GOT IT!!!!! i will post more messages . ask me if u have any doubts . i will try to clear them as well as i can. there r a lot more interesting things i want to tell u people. IP: Logged |

So, in terms of someone's natal chart, do you find that the Western or Sidereal zodiac is more accurate? SweetScorp

Hi all, For all those interested in having their sidereal charts done, you can go to [link]www.astroexpert.com[/link]. You have to make a profile (it's free). You can also do it at www.astro.com. You just have to chose the Sidereal system instead of the tropical one. Keep in mind that the ascendent sign determines the houses sign (whole house/sign system) regardless of it's degree.IP: Logged |

Hi, You can have your vedic charts done at [link]www.astroexpert.com[/link]. You have to open an account (it's free). For those that have a problem reading the vedic chart, you can also do it at [link]www.astro.com[/link]. You just have to chose the "sidereal" option instead of the Tropical one. Keep in mind that the Asc. sign determines the sign of every house (and therefore the placement of the planets as a consequence), no matter what the Asc. degree is.

Hmmm, well, according to Vedic Astrology, I am pretty much a completely different person. It changes 7 of plantary positions: Western: Sun: Sag Moon: Aries Mercury: Capricorn Venus: Sag Mars: Pisces Jupiter: Scorpio Saturn: Taurus Uranus: Libra Neptune: Scorpio Pluto: Virgo Vedic: Sun: Sag Moon: Pisces Mercury: Sag Venus: Scorpio Mars: Aquarius Jupiter: Libra Saturn: Aries Uranus: Virgo Neptune: Scorpio Pluto: Virgo At any rate, I am taking it with a grain of salt. My personality is more in line with an Aries moon, not Pisces and I do not identify at all with having Venus in Scorpio or Mars in Aquarius, not to mention Jupiter in Libra. Oh well, at least my Sun Sign is the same. Funny thing is, it made my mate, A Leo Man, into a Cancer. He is anything but like a Cancer. LOL IP: Logged |
