Hi Everyone!!!

Havent been here for about a week but, I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well anyways I would like to get your opinions on something. I am a student majoring in Architecture Design, and would like to be an Architect. For a while I was having doubts about the path that I was choosing, so I went to GALEN's site has anyone been there??? www.astrologyhoroscopes.com

so anyways I posted a question there

asking if Architecture would be a good career choice for me and this was my response:

Dear Lisandra,

Your MC (career point) is in Sagittarius conjunct Antares (the heart of the
Scorpion),
which is one of the 4 Royal Stars of Persia. This ensures success after you
have been
put to the test and tempered in flames, so to speak (the heart of the Scorpion
is potent).
The danger of this kind of success is that you may continue to obsess about the
thrill of
the trials and continue just for the enjoyment of the danger or risk. Don't do
this, for you
could lose all that you have gained by not taking the trial seriously and moving
on with
your success.

Your Sun, Venus, and Mercury are also in Sagittarius, indicating a love of
travel, foreign
places, and an interest in advanced education. In architecture you would prefer

classical forms of beauty and palatial buildings, which is not what architects
of today
usually do. The MC is connected by sextile aspect to your Jupiter-Saturn
conjunction in
9th house Libra. This indicates more of an ability for dealing with the public,
such as
public relations, diplomacy, or psychology. The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction
confirms the
meaning of Antares, i.e., you will have to work hard and may encounter
frustrations no
matter what career you pursue, but you will succeed if you are persistent.
Jupiter, which
rules your MC, is in the house of law, religion, and higher education,
indicating an
academic career or a law career is also suitable for you.

To get back to your question re architecture being a good career for you -- not
a good
choice unless you can build something like the Taj Mahal, the Parthenon, or St.
Peters
Cathedral. You are high-minded, idealistic, and not likely to be happy with
designing
contemporary concrete slabs.

Peace and Light,

Galen

So I would just like to have a second, or third, or fourth opinion on this....Does anyone know how accurate this would be?

I know we all have free will but I would just like to make the right choice in choosing a career, I 've thought about being a High school teacher several times, and a Lawyer also but some how fear holds me back and I dont pursue any of those careers....I just need help!!!
Well my birth data is

12/18/1980, Los Angeles California, 10:36 am

Hope someone can help!!!

Architecture today is kind of strange. On one hand, you have fairly dull buildings like stripmalls, made with concrete, glass and metal, with the exceptions of rare huge projects like the new World Trade Center or museums -- very tough to get those plummy career-pinnacle jobs! On the other hand, you have a movement in architcture where certain professors and students have rebelled against the lack of decent creative jobs in the whole field and are now treating architecture instead as art & theory -- designing buildings they _know_ will never get made, as artistic expression. Very post-modern. I wonder if they get jobs, afterward. Either way, the field is not what it was.

I would ask the opinion of people who know these fields now -- what the career is really like, etc. Maybe ask for an informational interview with a couple architects.

But maybe the degree is still a good choice -- because maybe you could get that architectural degree, with an eye to becoming a museum curator designing exhibits that educate the public about far-off places. That would be pretty Sagittarian! Or an architecture teacher yourself. Or go on to a law degree after that, specializing in construction litigation. Nothing says you have to let your love go entirely.

Good luck,
Lunargirl

well astrology is extremely accurate. its only as reliable as the interpretation though.

i feel your distress with this question. i am going through the same sort of thing. i want to get a degree in criminology... and would be damn good at it. but, im scared to commit to school... i cant afford to owe student loans. theres many circumstances involved.

this placing can be interpreted in many ways and i am really happy that you are questioning the advice you have recieved. we must question things to find the truth, humans are not infallible.

as far as your question, its something i cant get into detail about right now as this week is packed full and i dont have time for anything but simple responses, and id need to see your whole chart. i think though that if you have aptitude and an interest in the field, then by all means do it. lunars advice is excellent too.

id have to know more about your chart to say anything about it really but... id look at your 10th house. also the 2nd, if you are asking if you will be successful financially, also your pars fortuna. there is so much more to consider in a chart beyond one silly aspect. its my personal belief that all planets and houses affect the whole cloth, sometimes its subtle, but its all interconnected. if there is something in a chart that indicates something specific, there will be other indications from the rest of the chart that support it. i am very uncomfortable with generalizations in astrology personally.

how do you feel about concrete slabs? what about houses? some people look at those concrete slabs as if they were the mona lisa, they see beauty in them that other people dont. it all depends on you...

its like programmers. some see code, and its beautiful to them, as poetry.
