Disturbing stuff ahead...

I'll try to make this long story as short as possible: my half-brother has lots of problems; yesterday we went to court for his sentencing - he was charged with aggravated indecent solicitation of a child under 14. But because of a lack of a criminal record, he was put under probation for 3 years (no prison), and was required to register as a sex offender, take sex offender therapy (his psych. evaluation reported that he had confessed to having "a sexual preference for children"), write a letter of apology to the victim, and such (part of his plea bargain). Today he ends up BACK IN JAIL, I don't know what he did, he wouldn't tell me over the phone, but I am sure he did it on purpose - he's always liked being in jail and wanted to go back. I think he felt guilty. He also has a history of being physically and verbally abusive, anti-social, and just a nut in general. So I'm looking at his chart

July 17, 1973; 1:45ish AM; Durango Mexico

And I'm wondering where/how this stuff could be indicated. Can anyone help me? I looked at the 12th house first of all and it contains Mars and Chiron.

hi tuesday

12th house chiron? thats a pretty heavy placement right there. have you read about chiron at all? i seem to be the chiron hornblower here... i just have learned a lot about him and he factors heavily in my own chart... so i might know more about him than most. a lot of people dont know his significance... but regardless. mars is a heavy planet too. to give any sort of real insight id have to pull the chart, and thank you for the info because this is a subject that is personal to me. i have been a victim of crimes in my life, including being molested at age 7, and so my life had partially been a search to understand the victimizers. to that end i am expecting to go to uni and get a criminology degree in the near future, and have already devoted a lot of independant study into crime against persons.

i cant look at any charts until next week (and i have a few piling up that i want to look at and help people with) but if you can wait a bit and if no one else offers any suggestions or help, id be happy to look at your brothers.

theres a few things that can denote antisocial behaviour in a chart, but its important to be balanced when you look into a chart. its not enough for one particular aspect to point toward something, if there is a specific thing in a chart you are looking for, its dependant on the chart as a whole. there are several ways astrology will point to something in a chart, so to just see one aspect and think, 'oh yes, thats why hes this or that' isnt enough. its gotta have corroboration to be useful. does that make sense? i have heard people say things like 'oh well, his moon is in aquarius, so was son of sams' and that is just a very NOT responsible way to use astrology. there are millions of people born with that moon, it doesnt mean anything unless there are supporting factors in the chart as well.

anyway keep in touch, and as soon as i can i will look at the chart, remind me next week if you like too, sometimes i get ahead of myself.

take care... and i feel for you

Sorry to hear about your brother's problems, Tuesday -- to you everyone.

Check out Astrobank.com for research articles, and their links to more sites for research artcles. I didn't see your brother's exact problem listed, but they do have an article on astrological 'signatures' for sociopaths. Maybe you could write head researcher Mark McDonough and ask him for help, or a reference to anyone doing work relating to astrological signatures for pedophilia.

Hang in there,

I know Mars in 12 means lots of supressed anger. I will further look at your brother's chart. You might want to post it at Noel Tyl's site and also at about.com forum.
If you need links just tell me.

Sorry for your troubles.

Tuesday, good for you for looking to Astrology in this matter. It's not gonnna save the day, but it can certainly show where the inclination comes from.
I too have been closer to crimes against the innocent than I would care to be.

In my case, the perpetrator is a Scorpio.

(I'm not a victom, however)

Thank you everyone, and anafaery keep up the great work. I was mainly curious and I know there are other factors, I just wanted to look at what is present in his chart that would mirror his behavior. I know he chose the negative energies instead of going with the positive, there are also issues with the past. Personally I'm not too upset he's gone, he causes alot of problems for this family. I'm going to look more into Chiron.

http://home.iprimus.com.au/gjdemontfort/Chiron.htm

a link for you. that should get you started.

chiron in the 12th is not always bad... but its a very hard house to have him, being that it deals with the intangible. depending on sign and aspect more could be understood.

my chiron is in the third house. i understand that very much now that i have learned about what chiron signifies. third house is house of mundane household chores, siblings, communication etc... and boy can i see how he applies.

the best way to understand chiron is to understand his myth. he was the wounded healer. he points to areas in a chart where we hurt, but his symbol is a key, and we can learn from our hurts and help to heal others. the key to turning our pain into something that in turn eases the hurt of others... i just have such an affinity for him. also because i am a sag rising, and chiron was a centaur in myth. not to mention that i have felt much pain in my life, and my greatest accomplishments come from me helping others that feel pain. i have a venus in virgo... i love to help others heal, and its how i love.

his myth is one of sacrifice. he took a poison arrow meant for achilles. being immortal he could not die but was doomed to feel the pain forever. he worked day and night for a cure, and his labours were transformed from a selfish (yet necessary) issue of healing himself, to a very unselfish desire to prevent others from feeling his pain. he wanted to find a cure to heal himself and others.

ive written better posts about him in other threads but its hard to post when my husband is sitting near me, lol. only one pc is hard to deal with, when two people are very computery people.

like i said, he will be back in the states soon and i can make a better post then.

btw its good that you arent blaming yourself for feeling better that hes away. he has to own his own actions in this life. i know that family members can put us in very difficult positions in life... i for one am torn between loyalty and what i know to be 'right'. i had to walk away emotionally in many ways in my family. i am not responsible for other peoples actions... and i realize that now. it took a lot of pain to get to that point. its just a hard thing to deal with... and you have my compassion.

i think its really healthy for you to be looking into his chart.

take care... hopefully talk to you and see that chart soon.

Thank you ana I really appreciate that.

Umm... BTW... I've been wondering. How do you pronounce Chiron anyway? Chee-ron? Chy-ron? Chirr-on? That's always bugged me

Oh, I thought it was Ky-Ron.

I have Chiron in the 12th, but it's in the sign of Pisces -- home sign for mysticism and woundedness issues-- maybe not as rough a home as, say, if Aries or Cancer was on the 12th. A couple positive aspects help, too.

Recent transits might also hold a clue or two. The Uranus/Mars conjunction in Pisces, trining Saturn in Cancer, seems to be triggering all kinds of unpleasant and shocking events. Cat was mentioning this in a recent thread. Even to the extent of someone doing something criminal to be in jail -- sounds very masochistic to me, and that hints of the unbalanced side of Pisces to me too.

it is kyron, lunar is right its greek so the ch is hard.

its interesting because before i started reading about him, i was playing a computer game called 'age of mythology'. its a real time strategy game, and is an offshoot of age of empires which is based on history. aom is of course based on myth and is quite accurate to the myths. aom is so much fun to me, because i love myths. anyway chiron is a character in the game, in the quest part of it. i knew nothing about him though, only his part in the game, but once i started reading about him and his myth i was just so interested in him. when he died in the game i cried, lol. i just have a tender spot for him.

ah-ha..ky-ron..got it.
ya learn sumfin new everyday.

proper pronounciation is one of those challenges of learning about something entirely from books, without a real, live, talking teacher.

FYI Tuesday, here's the thread where Cat and others were discussing the kind of disturbing events associated with the Mars/Uranus conjunction, which trined Saturn too.
