I am new to this site, the knowledge and support is amazing. Can someone help me with one of my delemas?

I was injured at work, and need to decide what I want to be retrained to do. I can't seem to decide, which is unusual for me because I'm usually very decisive.

I have several planets in my 10th, Venus, Uranus, Sun, (Leo) Mercury, Pluto (Virgo).
My birth data is, 10:29 am Washington DC, August 22, 1958. I printed my chart at astrodienst, using local mean time, giving me a zero degree scorpio rising, I have 3 stelliums in my chart, 2 in the tenth, and 1 on my asc, (jupiter, asc, neptune. Moon and saturn in the 2nd (Sag). With Mars in the 7th, Taurus. Looks like a bucket to my UN trained eye.

I believe my problems with career, stem from me avoiding, missing or simply just not getting what I'm suppost to do.

Any imput would be appreciated.

Peace,
Barbara

A lot of energy is being geared torward wanting to be "seen and known". You need a job that will "serve the public" in some way.

Thanks...that's what it looked like to me. But the truth is I like being anonomous, I like my privacy, I am shy, ultra sensitive, I get my feeling hurt easily. So it confuses me because it's so contrary to the 10th house of career. Any ideas on what I could do publically but remain anonomous?

Peace and Love

Can I ask a dumb question?

Why did you choose "local mean time"? I thought that natal charts were calculated for the geographical zone where one was born. Usually when I look at charts on Astrodienst, I select the Extended Chart option and just use the natal chart defaults. Are you sure you have the right Ascendant?

Just asking,

Lunargirl

Lunagirl,

Not a dumb question. My sister had my chart done years ago because I kept insisting I had a Libra rising, and she and my best friend strongly disagreed. So to end the debate she had it done by an astrologer in Florida. He said it was zero degree Scorpio, I questioned how he arrived at that. He said because I was born during daylight savings time, he used local mean time. After I stopped resisting the idea, I have to agree, Scorpio does tend to fit my personality, but so does Libra. I like to create beauty, painting ect for the people around me. But on the other hand if someone is provoking me, (usually for a long time, I am slow to anger) I do tend to deliever the scorpion sting after a few warning scratches (Leo). And if I regain my sense of humor, my Sag moon comes out and let the games begin. So I'm not positive about my rising. The chart was done years ago, the only other thing I remember was about lone mars in the seventh, marriage would be my greatest challenge and greatest reward.

It my be helpful for you to know why I am resistant to being in the public eye. I was an unwanted pregnancy, I was severly neglected and abused by my mother growing up. I fled into an even more abusive marriage. I left, only to be stalked and threatened with death. I had no alternative but to move in with my sister in Los Angeles.
Finally I got my own apartment, where a disturb neighbor took a liking to me, when I let him know I wasn't interested, he went out front and pointed a rifle at my front window. Thank the Goddess above another neighbor saw a called the police. I had to move back with my sister. I have beed seriously stalked by 5 different men. Even my now my apartment manager watches my every move, was letting him self in, slapping me on the a**, ect. The property management corp let me change the locks and not give him a key, the police have had to put him on notice, if he touches me again or breaks in again he will be arrested. What is wierd about this is, I am just average looking. Yes I am petite, but I'm no model. So you can see why public life terrifing to me.

Sorry about being so lenghty, I really appreciate you listening, and your imput. I guess I'm wondering if public life is my destiny, maybe the 7th house challenge is the person I'm destined to marry is in a public station.

Peace and Love
Barbara

Hi XV11
Nice to meet you.
I just did a quick check of your chart via astro.com
The co-ordinates for Washington DC shown were 77W02 38N54. If those are correct for where you were born then you are definately Libra Rising. Your ascendant is 15 degree 36 min Libra.
Sue

PS: Libra is usually somewhere around when indecision is mentioned.

XVII, Libra risings do attract a lot of attention, where is your 7th house? I know someone with a Gemini rising who has had similar problems in her public life. I have had issues with the public, I'm a Taurus with Merc in the 7th trine Uranus in Libra and a Sag rising. Having a Sag moon makes you independent. I am petite too, I used to think it was a subconcious message to men to be domineering but I could be wrong.

You can read about bucket charts here http://bobmarksastrologer.com/TOClessons.htm
This is one of the best sites on the internet.

WOW!!! That site really game me some insight. Very accurate. Thanks sooooo much. My mars is in the 7th house (Taurus).
I've had all those things happen and was not in a public job, I've been laying low and trying to avoid any spotlight. Art and music seems to be what I'm suppost to be doing. (Venus conj Midhaven, moon aspects). I don't know if I'm brave enough to put myself out there.

Thanks again,

Peace, Barbara

Natasha,

This may give some insight to the petite thing... I asked the couple next door, who I am friends with to be honest and tell me why they think I attract unwelcome attention. Here it is.. being petite topped the chart, appearance. Add in, fluid movement, soft spoken,(until provoked), when anyone speaks to me, I usually respond with a smile, I'm not rude, very feminine. They believe these traits attract all kinds, in particular, men with the need to dominate. And when thier advances are rebuffed it provokes thier egos. "If they can't dominate a gentle creature like this" thier whole manhood is at stake, and thus will use any means to break us down into submission. This comes from a pretty evolved couple. She is an Aries lawyer, he is a struggling Gemini artist. Thier solution for me was to embrace the limelight because it will attract enough positve people to help deflect the negative ones.

Food for thought.

Peace,
Barbara

P.S. They are watching and have assured me they will step in with the apartment manager problem, and if I need thier assistance with any other unwanted advances "just holler". Sometimes a man to man conversation with put an end to the problem. The price is another painting, it doesn't seem like enough.

XVII, Yes it seems there are always those who think they can tame a woman, whether you are strong or not, there is an air of accesibility that makes a man think, here is a chance for me.

It's beautiful but I agree difficult with the public. I disagree about enjoying the limelight, I feel the only way is to control the immediate environment, so a woman can decide who she wants to attract. Takes some work, but it's worth it.
