Topic: the days of the week and your chart

Once I read this book called stars of india, about an english journalist going around looking at different occult arts and it mentions the rulers of the days of the week-
Monday moon, tuesday-jupiter?(cant remember), Wed Merc, Thurs-Uranus? (cant rem!)Fri nep, saturday saturn,sunday sun.
It said they beleived each day was good for certain things ie wed communication and learning, friday party and sex!.
I kinda have my own theory that your own planets are involved ie I have moon in Virg so monday is good for detailed tasks etc. Does anyone else organise their week like this or am I just a neurotic virgo moon!?IP: Logged |

I'm a Virgo, and Pagan too. I have followed Pagan interpretations of the weekdays for years, you might look into it, scout around this site: http://home.earthlink.net/~darkhand/wed_gate.htm click the Pagan Calendar to get more on the meanings. Friday is good for love and sex because it was named for Freya, the Norse goddess of love...and so on...Saturn's day, Sun's day, Moon's day. The other days take their equally Pagan names in English from Norse mythology: Tiw's day, Woden's day, Thor's day...and accordingly, you can plan to do things related to that planet or god's nature and energy on that day. For years, I've seen that Freya-day has been better for love than most days, and it's long been my fave day of the week  I always advise it for marital ceremony and such... also, I follow Mark Lerner's most excellent Cosmic Kalendar religiously: http://www.mcn.org/greatbear/Jul7.htm you have to visit his site every 20 days or so to get the new one, it's halfway down the page, you'll see it, it says Update! http://www.mcn.org/greatbear/tofc.html

i think the list is supposed to go something like this.
monday-moon
tuesday-mars
wednesday-mercury
thursday-jupiter
friday-venus
saturday-saturn
sunday-sun
in indian astrology we don't take the outer planets(uranus,neptune and pluto) into consideration.
hope this helps.
i was born on a thursday. what about u?
u know a few people in India actually plan things like this ,
for example,
friday is really auspicious.
women go to temples and perform different rituals.
PS- this may sound weird but hindus don't get hair cuts on tuesdays and fridays. IP: Logged |
