nice to see you! i have you added to my yahoo and aim accounts, but havent seen you on. if you ever want to message me, both names are anafeary. its a negatively connotated name, i know, lol. not faery but fear-y... but its ok. fear isnt necessarily a bad thing sometimes. wow weird tangent, ok moving on

generally a lot of people have made guesses as to what might denote homosexuality in a chart, and it really isnt something you can pin down quite so easily. i personally believe its one of those things that just shouldnt show up in a chart. its very personal and a person would know if they were or werent, if they were being honest with themself. to me it doesnt matter either, which is perhaps why i dont bother trying to find it out. i could give a rats posterior if someone is gay, it doesnt matter to me one bit. some say aspects between uranus (interruption/disruption) and venus for a female, mars for a male... but personally i think its pretty much hogwash. its something that would be very hard to interpret with any precision. its probably a factor of many different things in a chart.

as far as mental illness, there are indications of that, but none really that i can think of off the top of my head, id have to ponder it. if you want you can go to a site i also frequent, they have touched on this subject in at least two threads, the two that come to mind are 'narcissism in a chart' and 'bipolar disorder in a chart'. you can go there and do a search using the words 'mental illness' or 'bipolar' or whatever, and something will come up. message me sometime ill link you. or email me. i just dont want to repeat all the info when its already been done there.

i personally dont have an self generated opinion about mental illness in a chart, although i can think of a few ways it might appear. i wont get into that right now though as it would be a lengthy post full of me debating myself and weighing those scales, and as i said its been already covered elsewhere so its probably more timely if i just direct you there.

i know that people here would probably have some insight too. if you get stuck though, ill throw ya that link.

Some astrologers believe you can see indicators for a lot of things in a person's chart, and refer to them as "signatures". The good people over at Astrodatabank are in this camp-- they do studies aimed at establishing any proof, if it exists. I think I put a link to them in the first Lindland topic above.

There may also be some good info if you search back in this forum. Click the numbers on the bottom of the index page to view them by topic.

ana, thank you for directing me to that forum, and as always, for your insight!

my ex-stepdad (not a bad guy) gave me his birth data so i'm in the process of looking at his chart now. and i thought i had a lot of planets in earth signs. he has 7 to my 4! ok, so 4's not that many, but it sucks having 2 of everything else! anyway, whatever. i will be talking with you guys and sharing anything interesting i may come across. love sharing ideas with you all! peace!

my personal opinion is that surely there are some people born with a ..."weaker" constitution, but compared to the TIMES they live in...as in...it is more difficult for some to live, adjust to, or be happy, productive, etc in the times they are born in.

some other unfortunate ones are born in very difficult family environments, emotionally, socially, economically, etc...

but none of these is sure to become psychiatrtic patient. life is difficult sometimes, but its how one responds (or chooses to) that sets his/her course. a lyric in a song smartly said: "i didn't loose my mind, it was mine to give away". i believe that too. life is difficult to teach you something. you can face it and deal with it, or ignore, deny, refuse, hide etc..and the former are what insanity is - running away from responsabilities, not facing reality...
i'm not sure what one may look for in a chart. we all have repressed feelings etc, but we-"normals" find ways to express them in a socially acceptable way. that's the diff, you see...insane people don't mind the rules anymore, and because WE can't "read" what they're saying, ...I have no ideea what to look for in a chart...maybe the water (since nowadays "reason" is better, and sensitive people are a bit outside the trent), maybe a loaded 12th house with no outlet, maybe simply inner conflicts (read squares)that may be difficult to deal with ...let me know if can put into...planets and houses and such...
