Solar Arc is a type of progressed chart that is based on the movement of the sun (the number of degrees or "arc").

I have seen quite a few astrologers who use it in predictive astrology. When I am looking at what's going on in my life I like to use it in conjunction with my natal chart, my secondary progessed chart and current transits. I use the solar arc direction chart for timing events ... if that makes any sense.
