At astro.com I got the free automated interpretion, but I was wondering if someone who knows how can point out anything significant that they see in my chart. I'm new to this stuff so if I sound dumb just let me know. I have an obsession with stuff like this. Is it usual to be a Taurus and wish you were a Pisces? My dad is a Pisces. Anyways, thanks if you can help me or something. IP: Logged |

Patience, esull (and welcome!)! It is a holiday weekend... a lot of people are away. But to respond to your remark about your dad... just my impression, for what it's worth... Have you learned about what houses mean? They represent areas of life where certain activities take place -- you have your 5th House in Pisces, same as your Dad's Sun sign -- he and most other Pisces will seem warm and fun to you -- so it makes perfect sense that you might wish to be like them. Your Taurus Sun in in opposition with your Saturn in Scorpio across the 2nd/8th House axis, and thus you have probably struggled with low self-confidence, and conflicts. As for obsession, with Sun and Mars (I can't quite tell from the image about Mars) in the 8th House, and Pluto in the 1st, these placements are very Scorpionic and so obsession comes naturally to you! Not so much a "gotta know" vibe, as "I'm gonna know!" But with a Libra Ascendant you probably manage your obsessions well, and express them graciously, and so often people don't mind your questions as much as they might coming from someone else. Why don't you join the Free Astrology course here? Just email Randall with a request, and he'll set you up. That way you can get a start learning some basics, just by reading up on the lessons the teaching astrologers have posted. No question is dumb, esull. It's the unasked ones that risk that label. Hope this helped a little. cheers, Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Thanks! I didn't even realize it was a holiday weekend, my obsessions are taking up too much space to worry about stuff like that IP: Logged |

Ah, Okay, I know what I want to ask now. What would be a good career path or what would my talents be according to my chart? If I'm being annoying just tell me to shut up. IP: Logged |

Well you seem to be stuck with me again, for a moment. quote: should the amount of signs a person has in each element add up to 10 or 12 total? on some sites it is 10 and some 12. what is the correct way.
There are 12 signs only, and they are divided into 4 elements comprised of quadrants of 3 signs each. The Fire element, for example, has Aries, Leo and Sag in it, but depending on what you've got in a chart, it's possible for a person to have no Fire at all, for example. You have 3 Fire element planets, twoin Aries, one in Sag. I suspect you're having a little difficulty between sites because some are less precise in their language than others. Technically we really only have 8 planets in a chart, because the others are what are referred to as "luminaries" or the "lights" -- 1 Moon, and one Sun. But you'll see people talk of their "10 planets" sometimes, for expediency I guess. Have you joined the Free Astrology Course yet? Another good site for basics is http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com This one is good too: http://www.djay.com/astrol/ap_12.html Dragniel recently posted a query in this forum asking about a Grand Trine -- maybe you can check out that thread, and also try Googling "Grand Trine". cheers!
