Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a good Friday.

I have a question. Do planets that closely aspect the sun and moon color your personality more than other aspects?

Exmaple: I have sun conj. mars, moon conj. uranus and pluto.

Do these planets have a stronger effect on myself and my emotions?

Thanks , Cindi

Hi, 12th!
You've asked a loaded question that doesn't have a cut and dry answer, but in general, conjunctions in the natal chart serve to reinforce that particular energy.

When it's conjunct your sun, it's effects are felt in terms of whethor they assist you in your life purpose, your goals, your very identity. Mars conjuct your sun brings your actions and goals into synchronicity, whereas Neptune conjunct your sun may make you a little "reality challenged" in terms of goals and personal identity.

So, you see, it depends on the nature of the planets involved, and the sign doesn't matter quite as much as the planets and the house placements do.

You also have to look at any aspects that other planets are making to the conjuncted planets, because the aspect will effect the whole lot of them.

For instance, a Venus, Mars, Sun conjunction in the 8th house, squaring Neptune in the 12th house, the venus mars sun conj. provides a powerful thrust of 8th house/(given sign) energy in the chart, but it's expression is being thrown off the projectile by the square aspect shooting over from Neptune. Result? Neptune issues are interferring with the expression of that energy. It's not reducing the conjunction, in fact it may even being making it more prominant, but with a bit of Neptune's shadow being added to the mix. I say Neptune's shadow because it's a SQUARE aspect, which is known to be tension causing, and troublesome.

Do you follow, or have I only confused you more? I'm still learning too, so if anyone wishes to correct anything I've said, or add to it feel free.

My pluto conjunct my moon and Asc. confuses me a bit. I mean, you would think I had enough scorpio energy to begin with.

Would it mean that it plays down my Libra? After getting the feel of the basics of astrology, I know the scorpio energy is there, but I think that the Libra comes out too. I believe that's what helps me a long with the Fires and Airs

1scorp, has anyone ever guessed you to be a Scorpio? I see the Libra in you, in your social graciousness and your tendancy to try to smooth out ruffled feathers, and to nip conflicts in the bud. I've never seen you actually get ticked off at anyone in here. You avoid conflicts for the most part. I suspect you can "go to war" like the best of them, but I think you pick your battles very carefully. I respect that. I live by the same motto. So, you have some lovely Libra qualities, but it's subtle. You don't have the Libra mouth-runneth-over-syndrome, nor the willy-nilly-can't-decide-what-side-of-the-issue-I'm-on syndrome. But you do try to always be fair. So, the Libra in you is alive and strong, but it's tempered. How that moon/pluto/ascendant conjunction comes to the surface for you, just judging by the planets involved, you may appear to be moody but nurturing (moon), as well as emotionally intense and somewhat volitile (pluto). That is, you ARE those things, and people can tell that about you almost immediately, because they're part of your personal image.

Does that make sense?

I have a stellium in Gemini - Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury. They are all conjunct eachother with a very tight orb of 2 deg from the first (venus) to the last (Marcury). All this stelliuom gets a sextile from Saturn and another one from Jupiter (the latest two trine). The moon squares the stellium and so do Ur an Pl (latest two oppose the Moon).

To tell u the truth, I'm not sure about the effect. I think it can be very confusing and make focusing a challange or it can be a great boost. It all depends how u use it I guess.

Yep Lion, you make sense

I don't know anyone else that really knows anything about astrology. The comments I receive the most are "There's something up with that girl" or "I bet she has a temper" or that I'm hard to pin down (as in figure out) also, I'm always told that I look at someone in certain ways

I'm really just a laid back type of person. And you're right. I do pick my battles. I evaluate things... then decide if it's worth getting involved in Plus, here outside of cyber land, I'm always getting flack off of someone. I'm serious!

I "try" to be fair with everyone. Unless they're impossible

You do remind me of the Leo/Gemini moon hairdresser.

Lioneye -- ROFLMAO at "libra-mouth-runneth-over symdrome" -- I know a couple people this exactly describes. These have been the ones that needed to "sit in the corner for a while and BE quiet" IMHO, not the Gemini -- lol

Please Librans who have Scorpio or Virgo, don't take offense -- u know we not all the same anyway -- lol

OK -- back to subject at hand -- Well, I have a Pisces stellium with North Node in 4th house and i would say it colors MOST of me. I am known for being a homebody and a hermit of sorts. Scorp asc may add to that tho.

The simple way to interpret conjunctions is to say that they add overtones of their own sign to the placment. Mars conjunct your Sun will add Aries overtones. Uranus conjunct the Moon will add some Aquarian overtones and Pluto some Scorpio overtones. That conjunction marks a rebel feeling of the type described by the Moon's sign....in Virgo, you may rebel agains the guilt that people may dump on you.

Thank you lioneye and Rev. Alice,

This makes more sense to me now. Another planet to add into the mix, I have saturn opposing the moon as well(a 4 degree orb).

Does this opposition then mute the conjunctions?

One more thing, my sun is in aries with mars in pisces, MORE arian or subtle arian?

Cindi
