I have been researching what looks to be a legitimate online business opportunity and am trying to figure a "birthdate" that would encourage its success. I waited until both Mercury and Mars ended their retrogrades, and would want to start while the moon is waxing, preferably in a "fertile" sign. Is there anything else I should look for that would help me to begin this endeavor on the right track?

Of course, I'm not expecting perfection; I'm just looking for as auspicious a date within this month (preferably) as possible. Any thoughts on this? All opinions/input is very appreciated.

I'm not much of an expert for perfect timing, so I'm not exactly sure about all this, but based on "feeling", this is my input:

You should probably look for transiting Jupiter in relation to your Sun and the ruler of your MC...

And then maybe you should look at your chart and seek out the house (with a potential planet/s in it) and the ruler of the house which represents your business venture. Then you should look for Jupiter aspects with that planet and if they are favourable, and also look for favourable Jupiter transits.

But in any case I think the main planet to focus on is the ruler of your MC and transiting planets aspecting it. If there are no afflicting transits, I think it's safe to say that this is a good sign for your career.

Oh, I just remembered: you should probably look for the ruler of your MC aspecting the ruler of the house which represents your business, both in the natal chart and in transits.

Since you're a Gemini, an online business should be right up your alley

Your Scorp Moon suggests therapeutic abilities.

Since this is an online thing, maybe you should also look for favourable Uranus transits in relation to the ruler of your career or house which represents your business,
and also Saturn transits - if there are any obstructions of the material kind.

Venus transits are always good, of course,
and Mercury transits are in your case more important since it rules your Sun (which also represents your creativity).

Hmmm... I don't know if this helps you in any way...

I have been toying around with dates since I posted this request, looking mainly at planetary aspects and less at house positions and rulers, but (of course!) the houses would be very important; probably even more so. And, I have been looking with my own chart in mind as well...though again, more as to how the planets relate to my natal ones, than houses. I can see this is going to require a lot more time and research.

Since my natal chart has the fixed T-square between Venus in my 2nd (Taurus), Pluto in my 6th (Leo) and Saturn in my 8th (Scorpio)...the whole money/work thing has been one of my "issues". Maybe my main focus should be trying to find a date where transiting planets don't stir up the T-square, if that's possible. I am more than willing to put the time and effort forth; I just don't want to undermine myself from the onset, lol. At any rate...I will keep all your suggestions, as well as the ones from the link you kindly posted...in mind.

Yes it is a tough question which requires a bit more astrological knowledge.
Only after I begun to write you a reply, I realized that it's not as simple as to only look at the MC and its ruler etc, but you need to look at many other factors.

You know in that text Mercury is mentioned as the planet that rules internet, and it being the ruler of your Sun Sign, it's all the more important for you, so probably it's transits are the ones to look at more closely.

Defining the right time is very tricky, so maybe you should just trust your intuition and inner strength regardless of what the planets tell you - because there's that serious question of free will, and even if you consider what you think are all the factors, there may be more hidden in the movement of planets than you may realize... Since getting it "just right" requires serious expertize. Follow your heart, that's the best path you can ever take... and never be wrong.

I'll step off my soapbox now...
