HELLO THERE

My perceptions of Scorpios is slipping down really fast!
Today I find out that one of my lecturers at college is a Scorpio!
However, one would not think he was a Scorpio(I personally thought he was a Leo or Sagg.)
As I said in the 1st Scorpio string as the astrology books describe Scorpio secretive and jealous.
I am worried about how to spot a Scorpio correctly as the ones I know dont seem 'like' a Scorpio.PLEASE HELP.
Is it true that Scorpios can be a stand up comedian?
My lecturer is one, part time.He is a Scorpio as I have mentioned before.

Why are you so obsessed with the sign Scorpio? Dude, chill out, it doesn't matter what sign a person is, they can be good or bad.

Judging someone on their sun sign is just lame. There are too many other aspects to look into. You're a Libra too, so it's not like the Scorp is your square.

Hi, Moondreamer,

I agree with others who have mentioned that there are people born in the sign of Scorpio who use the energy positively and others who use it negatively. You can't necessarily "spot" one--either a Scorpio or any other sign--because we are each much more than our Sun sign! There's much more to a chart than being a "Scorpio" or a "Leo" or a "Sag". The interplay of all the other planetary energies in a chart decide how one is likely to behave. I've found, for instance, that the phase of the Moon that you are born under has as much to say about you as your Sun, Moon or Rising Sign.

HI MYSTARS

Thanx for your reply!
Could you please elaborate on the moon's phrases and how it affects an individual.

Thanx.

Sure thing. For example those born on full moons are great counselors; First quarter moon people are very family oriented, etc. This is just a brief glimpse. I use it in my counseling work all the time. (BTW, I'm a Full Moon baby!)

The full moon person often behaves like a Libran, the 4th quarter moon person like a Capricorn, etc.

I have a Gibbous Moon. Sag Sun Aries Moon.

Moondreamer,

It does sound like you are totally apprehensive of the Scorps. You started that one thread about "what is wrong with Scorp" which people carried to the extreme.

In essence we are all complex, sometimes showing our sun sometimes our moon. In love we are Venus, in pursuit / battle we are Mars. In our first meeting we may be our Ascendent.

Like the facets of a personality, different situations will bring out different reactions. The same is true with astrology.

Gibbous people are very creative and tend to find themselves through their work. There always seems to be a lot of drama going on in their lives.

I met a great Scorpio girl, er, in the last place I was "residing". She was really cool, a tiny girl but reminded me of a warrior, she would stand up for herself in a heartbeat and seemed pretty fearless which I admired. The only thing that annoyed me was the jealousy, she practically oozed jealousy anytime my focus went to other people. But she had all the sensual and passionate qualities Scorps tend to have.

You've beautifully summed up the point we've been making: Each sign has its strong points and its weak points and, from my observation at least, it appears that our characters are a blend of the two extremes.

My question is this: Can we help it? I mean, which of us would knowingly behave jealously since we certainly know that it's more destructive to us than to the person we're jealous of?

Yet, if this is our nature, as defined by our "Sun Sign", do we have any control over our way of being? In short, are the stars reflecting us--or are we reflecting them? Where does it begin?

Sorry -- I just have a problem with the titles including "WHAT's WRONG WITH??"

There are a couple signs i too would like to ask the same question of -- but, why offend people?? I have read somewhere that the most difficult lives are those with heavy Pisces, Virgo and/or Scorpio. I tend to agree.

Hi Bev,

Welcome to the site!!! Hey what part of So Cal? I am from Laguna Hills, but I live out East now (well for now anyway). I am going back to Cali on business on Monday. YIPPPPPEEEE, I can't wait to see my family.

I loved your Astro Southern Style and look forward to reading more of your posts.

By the way, yeah, I do live and breathe through my work. Some of my friends think it's weird, but I find my happiness in being able to create something that makes a difference for people.

Have a great night.

Perhaps the way we grow and change from the negative is also dictated in the stars influence. Look at me try and talk all smart I think you feel me.

Hi, Pidua!

I live in Escondido--about 23 miles north of San Diego, America's finest city.

I loved your confirmation about your moon phase sounding like you. My 2-year-old grandson was also born in the Gibbous phase and he's a natural star--like you! I'm sure he will also want to make a difference. After all, that's what we're here for, isn't it?

Hi, "theFajita3",

I agree with you, completely. I think our growth process does come from the stars' influence. During their transits, they trigger the changes as they touch various "hot points" in our charts--especially those outer planets. I like to think that the reason we study astrology in the first place is to learn to understand one another and to gain acceptance of how people naturally are.

Blessed be,
