Hey guys, I'm new here, and also relatively new to the study of astrology/metaphysics/esoteric mysteries and the like. So here's the deal with me. My sun is in Capricorn (barely...I think 29 degrees or somethin' like that) and I have Aquarius rising. My question is this: Why is it that my chart interpretations on astro.com and other sites say that I have my Sun conjunct my Rising Sign? They are two completely different signs! I realize I'm not a Cappy by much, but I'm still a Cappy, not a Uranus-ruled Air-sign. Just curious to see if there's an explanation for this. Thanks. ------------------ I love. IP: Logged |

Hi Little Cappy, and welcome I'm not sure why astro would say that, but in all honesty, 29 degrees seems almost cusp, so maybe it's thinking that. Also what degrees is your rising? If it's like one degrees then this would be very close to conjunct, but also not because their very different... The short answer from me anyway is "I dunno" Sorry... Heaps of love anyway Dean. ------------------ Love And Light to ALL My numerology program based on "Star Signs" by Linda Goodman Logically Magical Logic is Magically Logical Magic! (and vice versa!) the orb for conjunction is 10 degrees (for some 5), that's 20 degrees around. if ur Sun is at 29 degrees Cap and ur Ascendant is within the first 9 degrees of Aquarious, then ur Sun IS conj ur Asc. Ascendant aka Rising Sign. Check out madonna's chart, I may be wrong, but if i do remember corectly, she has her Moon conj Asc. On a diff subject, I also have a cap Sun at 14 something degrees and a Aqu Asc at 25 something. Nice to meet U! they say - well some do, that a sign is stronger at its begining and weakens as it moves to its end. 29 degrees would be like passing over to the next sign. it's also a very special degree. it means something having a planet at the last degree of a sign. check it out! eg. my 29leo59 Saturn meas than I always learn my lesson at the last momment and most of the times i'm "late" for things in life. I soooo do! the most used idea in my head is "if i'd only had known this .... ago!". I also have 29:18 gem Jup, which brings opportunities and solutions at the last minute. u should look for ur sun. it should be interesting cristina IP: Logged |

Welcome happylittlecappy, Aqua risings are always fun, welcome to the board.Your sun and rising can be conjunct even if they are different signs, if they are in the same house or very close. Astro.com is usually correct, it says my Venus is in the 4th intercepted in the 5th and gives me the reading for the 5th. I know however, that I am more of a Venus in the 4th. Natasha IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the info.....It makes some sense now, anyway. I've always thought I behave like an Aquarius, in some respects at least. Then again, I'm stressing out about money, studies, etc right now...definitely an Earth trait, eh? I'll definitely check out that thread asap, thanks. Well, gotta get back to worrying. Thanks for the help and for welcoming me! CrystalIP: Logged | |
