My son was just born Nov 18th and I think saturn was retrograde in cancer. What all does this mean. Does the cancer influence the family in general or me (mom)in particular? Any thoughts and ideas are welcome. Please feel free to be honest and open. . . forwarned is forarmed light and laughter IP: Logged |

Lioneyes, that's awesome!! CONGRATULATIONS!! What is it with Leo moms and Saturn/Capricorn tendancies in their kids? The two signs (Leo and Capricorn) are quite dissimular! (my daughter has a Capricorn moon conjunct her Venus, and I have Saturn in the 5th house trining my Venus...I think that's very significant, her moon/venus thing in relations to my 5th house Saturn trine Venus thing. (5th house just happens to rule over relationships with children, among other things) Your son's Saturn is in Cancer, retro? I think the house position is more telling that the sign placement when we're talking about Saturn. What house is it in? What's his moon sign, and what are the aspects of it? IP: Logged |

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. His Saturn is 12.44 degrees, in retrograde, 2nd decan, and his third house (Intellect and Communication). I have been told that it means that he will find it hard to relate to his family's feelings and that it deprives him of emotional security of the family ties. How so? How do I counter this? Any further thoughts would be appreciated!! Also, what does the decan mean? light and laughter IP: Logged |

Each 30 degree sign can be further divided in to three 10 degree decans. The second decan falls from 10 to 20 degrees. As far as what you have been told, Saturn in the third doesn't necessarly mean problems communicating. It depends on other factors, such as aspects to saturn. Generally that position indicates a serious and measured approach to life, a hard worker who is willing to work for what they want. A person's chart forms a Gestalt of potentials, some of which may or may not be played out in the person's life. Seldom does one planet's sign, house, or even aspects determine exactly how it will all play out. Lanny IP: Logged |
