Are there any particular aspects or house combinations that may indicate if a person is liable to have problems remaining faithful to their partner? I'm just looking at an old boyfriends chart, it turned out he was a total player, had four of us he was dating at the same time!! All unknown to each other. Curious about this. IP: Logged |

Venus in Gemini or Pisces, Venus conjucnt or Square Neptune, Venus opposition or Square Uranus. And also Mars square Neptune. Also Libra men might have a hard time saying no to beautiful ladies A strong 5th house means lots of love affairs! Sadge likes to flirt too! hahaha. Well I'm not so sure about what aspects in synastry that cause infidelity, but maybe some venus neptune squares might be deluding. IP: Logged |

Hi Starflower, I think the key word is 'indicate'. Thats a broad and general term and I feel it`s not a determing factor. Life choices determine who and what we are. I know it`s debateable, but I simply feel it`s not fair to the individual to look at the chart and say yup, x y & z are there so s/he must be unfaithful. Just my onion juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

PS *Disclaimer * I don`t know a lot about astrology, so I base my opinion on k-nowing people and how they`re influenced by life rather than their charts. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

I also have Saturn conjnct my ascendant-Leo, and Venus trine ascendant. BUT, A Scorpio sun and Cappy moon, so I get the guilt at the thought, but the thought Isn't such a horrible idea sometimes.*bad bad bad* says cappy moon* IP: Logged |

Aries Rocks, Here is what it means to have Venus Square the Ascendent (I have it too, along with the Venus conjunct Sun in Sagittarius) Venus Square Ascendant AstroClick® Portrait Venus Square Ascendant
Usually this is a very positive aspect, indicating that you are popular and that you make a good impression on others and get along easily in social situations. You enjoy people and they enjoy you. But the very positive energies of this aspect may produce negative results if you are not careful. You should not use your ability to charm and flatter people as a device for getting along in the world. Be sincere, and show people who you really are and how you feel. You can express even unpleasant truths graciously, so you have nothing to lose by being straightforward. Also, don't try to charm people instead of using your natural talents to get ahead. Develop all your abilities, and do not try to sweet-talk your way through life. You will not get much satisfaction out of that. The problem is that all strong aspects of Venus, such as this one, indicate a tendency to be lazy. Everything comes so easily, especially your relations with others, that you may think you can stop working. But that would really limit your chances for development and would also win you a reputation for being superficial and shallow, which could be true. On the other hand, if you work to improve yourself and do not depend solely on the energies of Venus to get ahead, you will win the respect and love of just about everyone you meet. Instead of envying your talents, people will recognize that you deserve whatever you have, and they will work to help you even further. It really isn't a bad aspect at all. Now for the cheating aspects. Well, I hear that for women having Mars in a Mutable sign especially Sag, Gemini or Pisces - can also lead one to stray. I have Mars in Pisces and Venus in Sag. My guy has Venus in Gemini and Mars in Sag. I don't cheat, but I will go out with other men if I do not have a clear commitment or if I have already said there is no relationship. I sometimes feel bad about it and usually stay away from commitments, but once I am in one, forget it. I would rather call the guy up and break up before cheating on them. It just pains me to cause pain in someone else. But I have done it in the past and I have had it done to me as well - with the first boyfriend I had - a fellow Sag. (He had his mars in Libra and Venus in Scorp). IP: Logged |

Thanks for that interpretation! I've given up on my Venus a long time ago! *laughs* I prefer my Mars. I have Moon square Venus, Venus square Ascendant ,Sun semisquare Venus and Venus square Jupiter! arghhh! It's depressing. But hey my Mars is fantastic!!!!! *sigh* you can't have everything! I do have a big trine, otherwise I would've killed myself years ago! ROTFL!IP: Logged |

Hi AriesRocks,Oh you have Venus in Gemini. I think that is a great placement personally. My dude has it and I LOVE that he likes to talk and talk...we always whisper sweet nothings to each other and have little pet names. It's cool. Also, both of us being verbal, we keep the fire going with a lot of bantering. It suits my Venus fine because it is not all mushy!!! I have an extremely hard time with Venus in water men especially if they have a moon in a water sign because they are sooooooo smothering to me. (eeeeeek!!!) What about you? Do you find that you like the flirting part more than the huggy-kissy 24/7 part? IP: Logged |

WELL! I have Venus in Leo square Neptune in Scorpio...Neptune's at home in the 12th house so my secrets REMAIN secret (fiercely protected by Scorpio), Venus at the end of the 8th (interpreted as the 9th). I don't cheat as a rule, but I do tend to "overlap" my relationships. In other words, when I stray, it's the end of the relationship and the beginning of a new one. IP: Logged |

Actually I don't like to talk that much when I'm with someone I like romantically! I don't know why, I prefer to get down to the good stuff! Maybe it's my Mars in Leo. or the fact that my Venus is in the 10 th house. I dated a guy with both Venus and Mars in Gemini and he always complained that I was too quiet.I like to talk to my friends a lot though, and I love to flirt. So that part of the Venus in Gemini is still there.IP: Logged |

LOL...AriesRocks...Well, that may be because you are an Aries ..LOL...fire signs are not known to really want to hold back, unless they have some more calming aspects. My guy has a Taurus rising and I have a Virgo rising, for him, I see that it made him more "sensuous". That could also be due to us getting older. Of course, now that we are both 34 (well, me tomorrow...I tease him about being older), we are less apt to just "jump the gun". He taught me how to slow down a bit and enjoy the process. That goes well with my Mars in Pisces, since it tends to want to merge, but never had the change to be immersed in a lover because my Sag Sun / Venus and Aries Moon just wanted to play..play..play. Hee hee... IP: Logged |

What do you see as far as fidelity? I've never felt compelled to cheat on anyone, but am open-minded in other respects as long as everyone is honest. Especially interested in what the Aries in 12th means. Does that mean I cannot keep sinister secrets even if I wanted to? Cuz that would definately sound like me. .gloria ------------------ it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness... IP: Logged |

I could probably be used as a study in fidelity, if one wanted; infidelity just isn't something that crosses my mind. I'm incredibly, automatically faithful.Sun: Pisces, 5th House Moon: Aqua, 3rd House Merc: Pisces, 4th House Venus: Taurus, 7th House Mars: Leo, 10th House Jupiter: 1 Deg Virgo (conj. by degree 29 Leo Mars and NN), 10th House Saturn: Virgo, 11th House Neptune: Saggie, 2nd House Uranus: Scorpio, 1st House Pluto: Libra, 12th House ...though I'm sure that the aspects must make a heckuva difference. Again, I'm not saying, "Ohh, lookit me, I'm faithful - be like meeee!" - it's just the way I am, with no real judgement on others (unless...uh...they're involved in a relationship with me ) as long as they're truthful with others about their intentions . I know a lover - because of what I expect from the relationship, and because of what I love about him the most, I'm able to go with the flow and feel no need to really change him or anything else.As for Aries being bored or compulsive, the way I deal with him is showing off the best of my "characters". You might think that's not really "lovemaking", but he'll appreciate the fact that you understand him when most women throw in the towel. Then he'll treasure you all the more if you have a mind of your own at the same time. .gloria
