After a year of trying and trying it seems like I've finally landed a job. It's nothing too glamorous and only part-time for now, but I really need it. I'm looking forward to starting. I've heard that starting something new (including a job) is not a good idea during the mercury retrograde period - I've already noticed some of the glitches and delays (my manager's computer was giving him trouble and wouldn't let him access my application) so I'm wondering if anyone here has started a job during the retrograde, and how that went. I found my current position online, interviewed and started my job all during a retrograde.Unfortunately I can say it has not been a good experience. My judgement was clearly impared when I accepted my position. My boss has turned out to have serious personality problems that directly impact my work on a daily basis. I can never seem to be organized at work- which was NEVER a problem for me before I began this job. I have a hard time with time management, staying on task, completing assigned projects, etc. A month after I landed the job I know I needed to get out, yet I am still stuck seven months later!!!! I hope your experience goes much better than mine- but I can honestly say I wouldn't start a job under a retrograde again!

I'm sorry to hear that Misfit. I applied and interviewed before the retrograde but I went in today for the last part of the application process, drug test, etc. and I'll probably start soon (if nothing goes wrong, damn you Mercury!). My boss seems great, I think he's an air sign or rising, very fidgety and light-hearted. And I got a position I want. Which is making me optimistic, and for me that's usually a recipe for disaster!I hope you find a better job someday Misfit. IP: Logged |

Thanks Tuesday! I'm working on it. I've heard that if you put something into motion before the retrograde, you may be unharmed!!! I hope that all good things come from your new position! MM IP: Logged |

Hi Tuesday,I got my current job during Mercury Rx. I've been here almost 2.5 years. It's been a tough experience, but I think it has to do with the work environment and the time it took me trying figure out before what I wanted to do in life. Aphrodite IP: Logged |

I watched a co-worker accept a job about 5-6 years ago on a Mercury Rx. Wondered how it would affect him...he still has his job, but he is his own worst enemy. Not sure you can blame the Mercury Rx for his job performance. He is now in danger of losing his job.But astrology indicates, it does not compel. Ultimately, I believe he is responsible for who he is...Mercury Rx may have given him some challenges but it is up to him to meet them well or not. Good luck iwth your job! IP: Logged |
