HI, Gloria
Well, I have a 2nd house moon, and when I'm worried about being broke, I have nightmares. Usually about ghosts and evil spirits and such. Weird.

Well I have a 2nd house Chiron -- no good at all.

BUt then -- it probably would make any of us upset to be destitute.

In my waking life (lol) when money is tight, I look forward to the small luxuries like slurpees, ice-cream, home-made cookies, stuff like that. Or, I put alot of attention into self improvement. I work out like a maniac, eat sparsely, do facials, etc...and drink wine.

Having been broke in my experience, I learned that certain friends cost money to keep. Money to go out and eat, go shopping, travel with, blah blah. I was embarassed about my situation and didn't like calling attention to myself. I lost contact with all my Taurus female friends (those ladies really like creature comforts). One Aquarian friend paid for my expenses when we went out (that was really nice, will never forget her). Virgos, Capricorns, and Taureans (the males) have been the best company when I was broke. We'd go window shopping, eat cheap Chinese & Mexican food, etc. They are simply the BEST when I suggest going to a grocery store to pick up deli sandwiches when we're on the road, instead of a side road restaurant.

Aphrodite, you sound like a Jupiter in the 2nd to me. Yes I know what you mean, my Scorpio friends are expensive to me, I am a Taurus but I do spend too much, not on eating out though. I do give money away too much to my Cancer and Scorpios who are always in need.

I get calls from Scorpios in the middle of the night-send $800 my car wouldn't start and now the mechanic has it, send it now! That kind of thing and then I get talked into it before I am awake. I have learned to screen my calls.

I know I will never see it again, I spent about $1800 this month that way and I have yet to see a dime back.

That is the only way I go broke,
Funny Taureans cost you money, I am usually tight, but then I have an 8th house moon, and Venus in Aries.

Hi Natasha,

I didn't mean that Taurean women cost me money because they demand things, but they cost a considerable amount more money to be with. The friends then liked to go on vacations, ate out every night, loved shopping, etc. A whole dormitory floor of Taureans The school lumped all April birthdays on one side of a hall.

May be it had more to do with being young, out of the house, and credit card companies giving away free T-shirts and candy for signing up.

aw heck, I'm always broke it seems. Money is always an issue and that's probably because I always talk myself into splurging on astrology books or movies and then I'm not terribly driven to make much of it in the first place.. just enough to get by.

I've got a Jupiter in Leo in the first house conjoined my Asc and in mutual reception with my Saggi sun. Then a ridiculous amount of planets in the 5th house, 4 of them Sag.. So.. I like to splurge.. Then Leo is on my 2nd house cusp too... Absolutely nuthin in Taurus.. not even a house cusp.. My mom, a bull, always marvels at how I manage to go happily about my life with hardly any money. She had quite abit more than me when she was my age.

Aphrodite, don't mind me, I didn't think you were generalizing. Some Taureans are really into money but I think it's an age thing. Once I hit 30 all I cared about was a house in my name with a low mortgage, health insurance and warm slippers. I may have been different but I remember mainly vacations to primitive places and spending very little money, mainly because I had none.

Credit card companies weren't giving it away back then and I 'm glad they weren't, that's difficult enough for me even now to handle. I don't like credit cards for me. I think Taureans and LIbras get talked into buying things more easily so they may demand more from their friends, to pamper themselves. I know LIbras are big time spenders.

My ex came over the last time I saw him a Libra, and complained because he was hungry. I said okay what would you like? And he said what do you have? and all I had were cheese for cheese sandwiches. He looks at me with a dirty look and says, I drove all the way over here and all you are giving me is a cheese sandwich? Nothing else? After all we've been through? You have got to be kidding. And I said, no I'm not kidding, that's all I have, it's good enough for me and other people.

So finally he ate one and got up like it was a huge pain for him to be there and stalked out without even a goodbye. I could have least got a tip!

Maybe he would have liked to bring his own food? I'm certainly not putting myself out for someone who just shows up and starts whining, what's wrong with cheese sandwiches anyway? Besides when we would go out he would always make me pay, or at split the check, as far back as I can remember, or at least when he started getting really cheap on me. I dont' equate money or material things with affection.

Sheesh!

"No I'm not kidding, that's all I have, it's good enough for me and other people."

That is the Taurus answer! You go Natasha!

My Ex's mother is the sweetest Taurean woman alive. He is a lucky guy. She has a Libra Moon and Capricorn Rising, and says similar things. She cracks me up.

A #1 reason why Taureans get angry (if ever, and this applies only to the good hearted. Taurus will know what I mean by this) is because they believe they got jilted --- in any fashion. They give a lot in their own way, and do not overtly tell others they desire the same in return. They give and give . . . and wait for the other person to pay attention. The longer the insensitivity persists, the deeper the Taurus becomes resentful. And it really hurts to hear a Taurean bellow, a low moan with misty eyes and pink nose tips.

My Ex gives his mother little presents. That is one of his sweet traits. Taurus will like almost any gift (Capricorn is another story). He gives her candles, clothes, candy, stuffed animals, and little handy things that help with housework. He hugs her too.

Taureans need a little extra material and emotional padding, like those nice cashmere cushions from Nepal, to feel secure. They don't give frostbite kisses like us Capricorn Moons can

I know, I get resentful and moan, but I don't withhold affection or love for it. What kind of gifts do Capricorns like? I always give my Capricorn friend books, I have no idea if he likes them or not. I know Aquas are not big on books, I send food now instead. Fire signs never have any warm pillows or bedding (you are so right about the cushions) I bought my sister warm pillows and a down comforter for Christmas, she didn't have anything on her bed. (Sag).

I like to be surprised, if I don't get surpise gifts I get unhappy, I can't see why I'd want to know what it is, a surprise is so wonderful.

Caps and Virgos I have seen, love doing things for other people too. This makes it kind of hard to do something nice for a Cap or Virgo, unless you have work around the house that needs to be done! Sags give words of inspiration, and affection.

Capricorns generally like books, and moreso if it's a topic they are interested in.

The best gifts I have given to them are when I pay attention to what they dream about doing someday, and I give it to them.

When my Capricorn Sun (Gemini Moon, and Virgo Rising) friend and I were in the 7th grade, she fantasized about going to San Francisco to attend the Symphony or Opera. For her 24th birthday, I reminded her about that memory and said that I would take her to a show.

When my Capricorn Sun (Virgo Moon, and Gemini Rising) boyfriend and I were shopping at IKEA, he spent a lot of time looking at Rattan furniture and baskets. That's how I knew he loves rattan. For his birthday, I took him to a Vietnamese restaurant that had only rattan furniture. He also loves Asian food.

Capricorns like quality gifts that have value. Especially anything useful.

Well...

Libra here, and I've always been so damn weird with money. I don't need fancy things, but I have an incredible eye for good quality at a good value. I don't mind picking up a few pieces of clothing at the junk stores, and about 80% of my furniture came from either the side of the road, a garage sale, or a junk store.

Leo is in my 4th House Cusp, so my home is quite eclectic, but everything goes together!

I've been homeless before and owned a home before. Money doesn't motivate me at all, and sometimes it gets scary. I always feel like I need a "money detail" person in my life to sort of take care of the ugly details.

When I'm broke, I don't know why, I start to feel very hungry. Like if I have $30 left to my name, I will spend $20 of it on a large pizza with all the fixin's.

I contradict myself! I've never looked for anyone to "take care of me", yet I'd love it if my core bills were automatically taken care of so that whatever I make when I work can go to extra's and savings... do you think that sounds unrealistic?

And what would Gemini in my 2nd House Cusp mean?

As for helping others or wanting people to spend money on me. I've honestly given out 100 times more money to others than I ever expect to receive. At the very least, I'm good for 50/50, or dutch treat. But I immediately feel uncomfortable when someone starts to lavish me with gifts.

Yes Gloria, I agree I do not feel like I want to take care of core bills either, I think it's natural after a while and it's what we are evolving too, but I do feel that I am better off fending for myself somehow. I learn to grow and take care of others. I don't have a choice, because it makes me stronger when I fight off the guilt urges.

My 4yrd old neice is a Scorpio with a Cancer/ Moon/8th house and Venus in Scorpio and she calls me up with complaints. "My tootsies are cold, Auntie-we are cold" So of course I have to send her new boots ($10), but then she gives them to her brother who is a Capricorn. So she cares about the world and shares but just doesn't know she can call out to the entire world. Sometimes emotionally we confuse money with love-but I just worry that she'll get sick.

Even at 4 though, you have to hand it to her, she can pick up the phone and get things done, what an organizer! Now she has to get a job because her Aunt has lots of projects for her. I told her this jokingly and she said she's ready to work and wanted to know when! Apparently she wants to work, she is pretty strong-stronger than a 10yr old.

Earth signs are not so much motivated by making money but saving it. As a Virgo said to me once, a penny saved is a penny earned and that's so true. I tend to make too conservative investments though and I worry about being left out of the loop.

I am looking at a triplex that's really cheap in a bad area, but the homes are going up and up. I could fix it up and double the money in 3 years, it's a really good area for that. I did my research back 10 years because that's what I used to do for a living-research. Anyway it's so risky though, and the gain so big I get nervous and start to think about a savings account instead.

So in that case a Scorpio or a Capricorn isn't a bad partner, one who has less nerves and more faith. Experience counts but steadiness is good.

I am glad anyway that I can do research like I can, that part of my job came in really handy later on. More than any other kind of skill. Must be my 8th house Sun, 12th house Neptune, or 10th house planets. What about home buying is there a way to tell when it's a good idea or a bad idea an investment?

Thanks,
Natasha
Thanks to Aphrodite for that bull description, that was sweet, I like my pink nose now.
