I would really like to know what a typical virgo(female) is supposed to be like; because just from the few little things that I have heard, I don't think that I fit that bill at all???IP: Logged |

Are you overly concerned with cleanliness and germs? I know a Virgin girl who hardly ever eats in restaurants because of this. She carries a portable medicine cabinent almost everywhere she goes. IP: Logged |

"Supposed typical" anything is always debatable. I think Virgo & Scorpio are two signs most often misunderstood.Virgo it is often pictured as someone shy, quiet, unassuming, nitpicking and dull. Which is wayyyy oversimplified and limiting view. There are astrologers who have slightly different take. One example is Liz Green. www.astro.com -> Free Horoscopes -> Astrology for Lovers, by Liz Greene. If you're looking for the perfect secretary/housekeeper, you should probably go and find yourself some other sign. The main gift of the Virgo woman is her intelligence, not her tidiness. IP: Logged |

Most so called Virgo characteristics are just sterotypes with limited applications. I've been a Virgo for 62 years, and I can tell you that most of them are not true of me. The only thing that I see in virgos is that late in life they seem to move towards service jobs where they try to help others. Lanny IP: Logged |

I've never met a Virgo who didn't have an admirable clarity of mind, and the ability to spot a fool from a mile away.(some of them can see the fool in just about everybody, but those are the "Negative Ned" variety of Virgos) IP: Logged |

Just from my own personal experience with Virgo friends, money seems to be hard to come by for them. They work hard for it. I have yet seen a Virgo run into easy money or get overpaid. And I mean this for the "on my own situations." I also have yet to meet a Virgo that was entirely independent financially. They usually have certain things they depend on in order to get by, and if it wasn't there --- their finances wouldn't stretch far enough. Examples are housekeeping in exchange for cheaper rent, living with parents, umemployment benefits, welfare etc.

WOW, thank for all the input. Thanks Randall, surprise. aj: I like to think that I have good manners. Blazini: I'm not like that; in fact, my house is messy. Of course, that may have a lot to do with the 5 kids. Aen: I guess it really depends on the situation if I am shy or not. I most definately used to not be dull, I'm not to sure about now though??? As far as looking somewhere else for a secretary/housekeeper, that is right on. pocco: I don't think that I am a perfectionist, unless it is do with my cooking. If something doesn't turn out just right, I do get miffed. But, my husband tells me that I am detail oriented. So would that be considered a perfectionist? Lanny: I seem to have always been that way. Sometimes it gets me into trouble though. lioneye: In order for me to spot a fool, I just have to look in the mirror. Aphrodite: Ouch. Hopefully the financial thing will by-pass me, because I am starting a new business and for now without the help of my husband. Thanks again for the input from everyone. chameleon IP: Logged |

There you go...Virgos are just as hard on themselves as they are on other people. You're the second Virgo in as many days to come in here and start crapping on yourself. New spin on Virgos...they're self depricating! Now, knock if off and tell yourself your sorry. AT ONCE!! (j/k)

This topic is funny......I wonder, do Virgos spend hours navel gazing trying to figure themselves out? (j/k) Hey, I can say that, I am one of those perfectionist, self-depreciating Virgos...LOL. lllog.....you crack me up... Aen....interesting idea. Since I have a Scorp Asc to go with that Virgo Sun, no wonder no one can figure me out! Chameleon...good luck on your new business. Being a Virgo, I bet you will work your butt off and try to do everything yourself. Its ok, you can delegate...and do you worry? Thats one of the most consistant Virgo traits I have seen (and suffer from as well.) I had a wonderful friend tell me recently that over the 10 years she has known me, the only thing holding me back was my own self doubt. Altho thats true for people in general, I think its particularly keen in a Virgo psyche. Because of that "detail-oriented" thing, and the second sight for fools, AND the propensitiy for criticism, its really easy to mentally "shoot oneself in the foot." Beyond the negative, tho....I have noticed, Virgos have a dry, somewhat sarcastic wit that always gets to the heart of a matter; they tend NOT to BS people, just for fun, and yeah, that money thing is right on the head. We dont ever WANT to depend on anyone, but sometimes the work comes to nothing, or we squander the funds, trying to help others. We also have pretty eyes...or so I have been told.... Well, now that felt good! I am proud to be able to say something positive about my sign! Thanks chameleon! IP: Logged |

I have Venus & Pluto in Virgo...Virgo's need to hire a good public relations person. Also, they sometimes want to get things right at the expense of their associations. If you try to offer to help them, they recoil. How could they possibly let someone else do something they can do better themselves? And as for Virgo in Venus... UH! It's not just that. With Pluto in Virgo there is no real chase. We'd rather be alone than with someone who doesn't meet our standards, even though our "standards" can be loving some S.O.B.! .gloria ------------------ it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness...
