Are animals affected or included by/in medical astrology-the moon in the signs? My cat may need surgery and I wanted to know if I needed to pick a particular day.

Silverbells, I would certainly go on the premise that it does. Our beloveds are flesh and blood and should be medically treated under the same rules as we would have ours-elves treated.

Yeah, juniperb, I might pick a day that is not aquarius or taurus. (lower leg and jugular vein). But how come cats from the same litter are so completely different and if animals are covered by astrology, then I think almost every cat in the world would be an Aries because they are usually born in April. What do you think about that?

I've actually wanted to ask that particular question for a while.

LOL........my Halloween kitty that we found abandoned on the streets....the vet guesstimated a birthday that would make him a Virgo. I completely disagree. I think he is a Leo........he poses for the camera, is utterly spoiled, and demands our attention at all times. And, of course, is the most lovable, adorable, mischievious little orange tabby I have ever seen.
Don't I sound just infatuated? Just like with every other Leo I meet.....hehehehe

Silverbells, my Aqua dog is a died in the wool Aquarian Some of the others could be a bit of this and a bit of that sign tho. I don`t really know how their personalities are affected by their birth signs.

When I suggested one treat their four leggeds as we would treat ourselves, I was basing it on Hippocrates wisdom : Touch not with iron that part of the body ruled by the sign the moon is transiting. Also : He who practices medicine without the benefit of the movement of the stars and planets is a fool. Vets pooh pooh this so it`s up to you to take charge and see that your four legged is treated as you would be. Of course emergencys are unplanned and immediate treatment is a must. In that case, pray & pray & pray and they`re usually fine

I am with juniperb absolutely on this one. My Aries dog was absolutely an Arien!

Your cat needs the surgery on the lower leg righ?Well I have a great book called Moon Time - The art of harmony with nature and lunar cycles.
The book says yes, avoid the moon in Aqua days for this part of the body, BUT ALSO SAYS AVOID IF POSSIBLE DURING THE TIME THE SUN IS IN AQUA. So can you wait another couple of weeks till we are in Pisces? Ideally the time of the waning moon is best.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who is fascinated by the moon ,like I am (Cancer Moon)

My kitty is most definitely not an Aries...LOL. She's too tolerant, and soothing, and emotional. I've judged her to most likely be a Pisces, as she has empathy galore for everyone she meets.

Look at her....

I was thinking that maybe animals are ruled by "moon signs" (rather than sun signs) since they are animals. But I will check the sign that the moon is in before her surgery, if she has one because the vet said that a cast might correct the break so she is in a cast right now.

My daughter has a wonderfully friendly, big ol' lover dog, animated, talkative, extreemly social, not a bit loyal, pit bull.
He's a Gemini!

I have a seriously intense, extreemly loyal, protective, either loves you or hates you, austrailian shepherd.
She's a Scorpio!

I'm totally convinced animals are true to their signs!
