Okay Peeps,

My bro is getting more into astrology - because I have been edumacating him LOL...Anyway, I told him about this forum and now he wants to check it out.

Here is my delimma

1) I have personal things on here that I don't really want to share with him (like about sex)

2) He is kind of a smart-ass so I am not sure that he would take this seriously.

Any advice?

Does he know what your user name is? If not, you don't have to tell him...EVER...And he doesn't have to tell you his. You could be posting to one another completely anonamously...wouldn't that be a hoot?

I invited a couple of people here too, but I never know whethor they come or not, because I don't know what they would call themselves. I think it's kind of fun, because if you know then well enough, you'll recognize them just by their style of communicating (I think, but maybe not??)

Or, you could just threaten him with some long-lost blackmail ammunition...surely you've got SOMETHING on him from long ago...

LOL....my user name is the same as my e-mail - so he would know. We talked for over an hour about astrology last night LOl... even his Scorp wife is getting into it.

I'll see if he is serious and then decide. Maybe I will even have to change my user name.

Eh, wait til he seems seriously interested - then threaten him with serious bodily harm if he ever breathed word of anything that he read here concerning you to anyone off of the site (including you-in-the-flesh).

That's what I'd do as a big sister, anyway.

Having Saturn in Taurus like you Pidua, I am kind of nervous about that sort of thing too. I wouldn't if you feel nervous about it, after all it's your life. He can go to other forums first to get hard news about astrology and then if he's still into it you can give him this forum. Tell him about www.north-node.com first and see if he's into it for a while.

I wouldn't change the way you express yourself, it's normal and healthy, but I see the challenge.

This probably won't mean anything cuz I'm an only child, but if I had ANY family member interested in astrology, I would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS tell them I'm on this forum...

Give him another forum.

I feel like a lot of what we do is held under strict confidence!!!

You are all right!! Thank you for the advice and Natasha, I am going to give him that other link. That should help him get an understanding on Astrology. If he happens to find this site, I am sure I will be able to figure him out LOL...

Astro, thank you for your advice, it doesn't matter that you are an only child your are completely right about what you said.

Thanks again..and Proxie, I would love to be able to threaten him with bodily harm (LOL) but he is bigger than me hee hee and he has a Scorp moon.

Aw, c'mon - my little bro outweighs me by a good 40 pounds...all you have to say is, "You may be bigger'n me, but I'm a whole lot meaner."

He knows that to be a possiblity as our Mom's only 5'2'' and about 110 pounds and could take us both.

I wouldnt bring him here. Even if you changed your username, he would eventually recognise you by your Sun/MOON/asc info and also whenever you mention Mr Leo

You need to be open and relaxed in a forum like this, and altho I dont have siblings, I would hate to think my bro was reading about my AWESOME kissing technique etc

LOL...yeah, that might make his head fall off. LOL....I gave him the other links so I think he will try those out.

In the same respect, I would gross out if he talked about his sex / kissing life. Ughhhhhhhh!!!!

pidaua - I'm doin' OK.
I just got back from a little bit of an emergency visit to the OB. All weekend I've been sort of "falling out" whenever I've stood for any length of time (that is, having to sit down before my body sits me down); that really didn't play well at Mass on Sunday (I'm going there b/c it's the only time Jase & I can see each other in the week). Sit down, stand up, sit down, stand up and sing...Jason must've thought that I was being extra affectionate when I had to hold his hand tighter so that I wouldn't collapse

They don't know, exactly.
I tested as having preggers-related anemia, but I've been taking iron supplements above-and-beyond my prenatal vites long enough for them to have kicked in, and it doesn't usually happen so much when I'm walking as when I'm just standing (although it can - just not as quickly).
The OB today did routine checks of my lungs and heart, and said that there was nothing readily apparent that was wrong with either (at least while I'm in a resting state), although he said that if my tendency towards faintness continues or gets worse, he's going to order an electrocardiogram.
But, at this point, it's probably just the kiddo resting on an artery or something - so no worries; and her heartbeat and movement are still good and strong, so I'm not worried on that front.

Thank you for asking, aj

Besides the vites, are you eating iron-rich foods? Spinach, red steaks?

Don't forget your Omega's and Calcium - A serving of Salmon every day?

Are you affected by sun deficiency this time of year? (It's called S.A.D.)

I'm going over to the FFA thread and looking for a Prox thread, cuz I had light-headedness and fainting eposides when I was preggers too, but I don't want to commandere Pid's brother's thread LOL...He'd be mortified if he did come here, and see what that we turned this thread into "pregger talk" hee hee.

That's good advice gloria, but only one thing~ While fish is good in moderation when pregnant, too much is not good... She could try to get it through supplements or other foods.. as the toxins that are found in fish, not necessarily outweighing the positives, but the iodine/mercury/carcinogens ~as well as estrogen-mimicking compounds have been shown to be present in our adipose tissue and because during pregnancy and especially breasfeeding, we rely on our fat stores to produce milk, it isn't good to eat too much. At least not everyday. But depending on the source of it, supplements are regulated, but she should talk to her Dr./Pharmacist. Kale and spinich are good options for calcium, most definately.
Just my two cents.
I hope it is nothing big, Prox.

Oh wow... there's estrogen mimicking chemicals in fish?

I believe you!

(Salmon I would say no more than the size of her fist...)

Almonds and walnuts are supposed to have good fats and oils.

There's so much to learn, but all that is really interesting to me.

Even with environmental regulations, and protection laws in place, companies not only do not adhere to them, but even if they stay within the guidelines of "safe" toxin dumping, there are problems... Say company A dumps an insignificant toxin, when used alone, and company B dumps a chemical that when combined with the compound in the water from company A, it forms a secondary and dangerous substance. This sets off a chain of seemingly unrelated developments. There is so much more to it... but some of these form estrogen mimicking 'hormones' which when injested in daily life ( which includes exposure to water in the shower/ bath/rain.. the skin is an organ, after all....) are stored within our bodies.. mostly in fat cells, which is why females are more at risk, having more fat cells than our y chromosomed counterparts. This leads to many animals being unable to reproduce. This leads to male sterility due to environmental factors. Lots to read about....

At first it was said the reason why girls were maturing more quickly was the hormones in milk due to what the cows were eating.

But then my M.D. professor told us recently that they now know the real reason, and it's because the youth eat too much, and too much unhealthy foods. That it wasn't the milk per say.

Together with what you say makes sense now, since like you said, certain chemicals are stored in our fat. Therefore, if the youth are eating too much and getting fatter, they store MORE of those toxins (and hormone-mimicking)... especially females.

Wow... I'm gonna ask him more about the waste in the water tomorrow. I never thought of that. Just like this weird bird virus that they say may one day cross over to other species (or us) due to mutations.

Nevertheless, whenever "He" calls, I'll be ready...

I've been eating well, really well I thought, but I'm still anemic.

Thank ya'll for your advice and concern *hug*
