Hi
I know there's another post about Venus Opposed Pluto in Soul Unions, but would anyone like to have a conversation with me regarding VENUS CONJUNCT/TRINE PLUTO?
I know I'm an incurable romantic, but I love the way Linda describes this aspect in her book. It also reminds me of that poem of hers which starts "Close your ears to the sound of my voice and through the thunder of a thousand cannons you will hear it calling your name......"
I'd like to know how powerful this aspect is as I think it's my favourite.
Thanks
Beverley

Hi Beverly -

I have Venus in Virgo in 4th hs
Conjunct
Pluto in Virgo in 4th hs

I've learned here that when it comes to a "chase", I can become stagnant for a long time, which is very true. In other words, when Venus stops the chase, Pluto will pick it up again. But since they are virtually in the same place, (and in Virgo no less), there's a stalemate. I'm 42 and never married. Never set out to be, but recently feel that I am ready.

Also have a lot of ties with Neptune.

When I was younger (doesn't seem that long ago at all), I used to do well with guys who took the initiative, who could almost read my mind and be several steps ahead of me. I'm beginning to think that's the key this time around as well. Just need to find the one who is "worthy" of my trust this time.

Ok, ok, I'm sorry, this is all my fault. (I'm down on my knees - can you see? : ) I meant VENUS CONJUNCT/TRINE PLUTO in a COMPOSITE CHART. I'm sorry, it's my fault for not explainig myself better. Sorry, can we start again please.
Thank you for your replies.

Hi everyone does this differently,
I believe that venus conjunct pluto in synastry is very powerful and the trine next for long lasting memorable passionate love.

Both long lasting love affairs I have had had the conjunction and the trine venus in virgo conjunct my pluto and jupiter in virgo (both in the 10th) but then he had venus in the 5th house too which is romantic. Venus in Cappy works for me too sometimes. I also like Venus in Aqua, Cancer, Sag, Scorpio...but the conjunction is the most powerful in terms of obsessive love, but it's not as romantic as a 5th house love affair.

In what way do you think the 5th house relationships are romantic?

Don't worry Beverly -

I'll just remain in my own train of thought since I don't have those aspects to speak of. I DO have Venus Conj Pluto in my Natal, which makes me very passionate (when I get the chance)...

And the last relationship had a Composite Venus Square Pluto, which means possible power plays. He then went on a traveling spree with an old friend, and in Composite they have Venus Opp Pluto.

I'm pretty sure they went back to Europe, and now he's fallen off the face of the earth. He's either dead, in some opium den, or in jail for fighting with some guy over her (most probable)...

So I'd say Venus/Pluto IS powerful.

Natasia - I'm also curious as to the "romantic" 5th House.

Composite Venus in the 5th is very good, for children, romantic love, good times, sometimes it does not last but it's the kind of passionate love that most people are looking for.

With my 5th house Venus I am biased but I have to say 5th house affairs are more productive in terms of work, children, more of a purpose. Venus in the 10th for example is kind of cold.

The composite venus in the 10th would be a business type of relationship. And again I am biased because I need strong romantic affiliations in my life with a Venus Aries/5th house.

Morning
Yes Natasha I agree, it does seem to be VERY POWERFUL. My last 2 relationships have had this and are completely different to anything I've had before. I'm a lot like you, I'm Taurus with Venus in Aries and Pluto in Virgo. At least the current relationship is with a far better person than the previous. Hope it lasts/rekindles or whatever. (Long story) Hope this synastry indicates longevity.
Gloria, you sound a bit like me. I'm turning 41 this year, and am I oh so ready to settle down now! : )
Illog any comments on the Venus Conjunct/Trine Pluto in a combined chart?
Anyone want to comment on that poem I mentioned?
Have a good day

What would the effect be to each party involved?

Ex:
My Pluto is Trine my Husband's Venus
His Pluto is Sextile my Mars
(in synastry)

In our mid-point composite chart, our 5th House Venus is sextile the 7th House Mars (by degree - it's a 29d Pisces, the Mars is a 1d Gemini...so maybe you'd consider them square?). The Pluto is also Sextile the 1st House Uranus and Trine the 4th House Sun.

Thankya anyone who can help

I'm very curious about Pluto in general, I dont have Venus/Pluto w/ my current beau but in composite we do have the following:

Pluto trine sun
Pluto trine Moon
Pluto trine Merc
Pluto trine Mars

Can anyone give me any clues as how these trines might affect our relationship, good or bad, I can take it on the chin!!

Hi Gloria
Sounds just like me! : ) I had a 10 year live in relationship with someone, but had no desire to get married, didn't "feel" right. Turned out I was right for a change as it ended with him doing a real dirty. Now I feel so ready to get married and don't know if it's an age thing or because I've met someone I'd really like to be married to - even though the feelings are not mutual because of his past experiences!! Darn!!
What do you think?

Oh my God! That is SO cool...

And I just realized you are Taurus with Venus in Aries, same placements as the last guy "thing". I'm not sure if it was what happened with him, or my age, or my transits (we are getting close to our 2nd Saturn Return)...

... but I feel like I'm able to benefit more from a secure relationship now...

Although I continue to say, it's going to be a unique person cuz I want the committment, but not 100% traditional, 100% of the time...

Have you traveled a lot? I'm in Central Florida, where nothing happens, originally from Miami, where too much happens. I'm seriously thinking of living somewhere new where the odds of men/women are in my favor.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,

.gloria

Hi Gloria
Yes I have travelled a lot, but unfortunately never to the States. I believe in commitment, but more especially in FIDELITY. I also believe in allowing each person in a relationship their personal space.I'm an only child and aside from those 10 years have also always lived alone, so I certainly value my ME time.
Are we sounding more and more alike?

Aries Rocks -
Ever since I saw the movie "One Million B.C." with Raquel Welch, I've been traumatized and deathly afraid of earthquakes. Or else I would have run away there a LONG time ago. I have family out there.

Beverly -
I too am an only child and need that sense of space, yet the fidelity. However, I do have untraditional notions as well, and a part of me wants to experience a committment with a streak of the untraditional. How about you? Do you have any of that in you too?

We do sound alike in many ways. How cool...

What was your birth info again?

well earthquakes..you know that makes me sure that your ascendant is in Taurus, cause they're usually afraid of earthquakes

Yikes!

Don't confuse me AriesRocks!

Just kidding... I'm really more convinced I have a collective influence as far as my Asc goes, due to my mom being heavily drugged and almost dying. I was probably half asleep and half awake for a long time. Know what I mean? Cuz I really don't fit Taurus or Gemini completely. And every time I run through the list of Asc's to see which one speaks to me, they all do a little bit!

Could the earthquake thing also be my Moon in Cancer?

Hi Gloria
Hey, I'm supposed to have a Gemini Ascendant, but sometimes feel like it should be Cancer!
Know the feeling? I was born at 8am, so think they are pretty close, but as far as I know you can't have an Ascendant on the Cusp?

Gloria, I am *terrified* of earthquakes and I have Moon in Cancer.

Was caught in one once, it was only a relative tiny one - 5.8 on the richter scale, I even sensed it would happen when we arrived in this place and said so to my partner at the time. You can imagine how freaked he was when it happened.

Anyways, yes always been scared of them and will never go to California.

No.

As for the no such thing as an Asc on the Cusp, I don't even believe that there is such thing as a Sun on the Cusp. Well, people who don't know too much about astrology who say "I'm on the Cusp", seem to believe they are either stuck between two energies, or neutral. I don't think it's either. But tell the layman that.

I just believe when we use the term "Cusp" it's similar to the way we interpret wider orbs.
