Gah.
How's it feel?
I mean, what's the subjective experience like?

Jase is in the clear, though, I guess...kinda...
His Venus is at 20'43'' Aqua (so I guess it sextiled that about when we got married ), but his 1st House doesn't end until 26d Saggie. Re: the last one: Complete change of self-image, anyone (now a husband, father, solider...dern).

Hi Proxie,

Yes, it does change the appearance. I seem to have gone through a transformation in that I feel...this is going to sound weird, like I have blossomed. I am becoming more myself and have let go of old habits (I quit smoking about 4 years ag) and started new ones: Meditation, yoga, more spirituality.

I met Mr. Leo during the Pluto-Venus conjunction at the time Pluto was trining his sun / merc, after forming a loose conjuncting to his natal mars, sextiling his Moon and opposing his Venus. Needless to say - we both experienced an INTENSE reaction to each other - in a positive way.

When Pluto was sitting on my Venus, I discovered a very passionate side to myself -a side that I had kind of surpressed in pursuit of my career. It was then that I realized the relationship I was in, my life and what I needed, had to drastically change.

So, the transformation began. I am sure that Jase felt the same when he met you. Also, since you are Pisces you must be feeling the pull of the square aspect as you to have changed - transformed in one of the most noticable ways possible - a beautiful pregnancy and soon the birth of your baby

Actually, that does make sense, pid. There was this site that sthenri brought up in the singletons thread that described Pluto transits like this:

Pluto transits burn our bridges behind us; we can never go back to who and what we were before, and most would not want to. Those foolish enough to try end up really dying, or at best, like Lot’s wife, ossifying, turning into “pillars of salt, ” lifeless physical forms. Pluto strips away everything to expose the pure, precious jewel which lies at the core of the soul. (...) The experience of Pluto’s transit of Sun, Moon or angular house can seem like dying and reincarnating in the same body. You remember the person you used to be and that person seems a stranger, so naïve, so superficial. What was before only knowledge is now wisdom, and surface sympathy has deepened into compassion.

Thank you for telling me how tPluto affected your Venus...I wonder how it'd affect a guy (if it'd be the same or projected).

Hi MK,

Do you use astro.com? They have a chart selection with transits occuring with your natal chart. I also have the transits book by Robert Hand and I use several websites.

Lanny does some great transit reports for people do - if you give him a shout he can help. Let me know if you want me to give a crack at it and I will take a look tomorrow for you.

You are a Virgo right? So you have just went through an intense period with Saturn in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius. My Virgo friends felt the square aspect almost like being caught in a fight between two people. Not as harsh as the opposition, but you may have felt as though so many people were coming down on you at the same time. Crisis at every corner is typical with the person feeling like "they just can't win". Now Saturn is in Cancer, but you still have Pluto to contend with and it is telling you to think about your life and your relationships.

I will post more of the aspect information tomorrow morning. Take care

See you tommorrow......

Hmmmmm from what I can tell....

Pluto is in Sag, right now? That is my 1st house, and thats where my Neptune is. And, according to the convo proxieme posted, its going to go retro, and STILL be there, and just in time for my birthday. Joy.

C'mon Universe, thats not fair! Saturn Return and Pluto transits at the same time?

Waaaaaaaaaaaah....

Ok, I'm done whining now.

Er, I just thought of something else, but I think its pretty simple.

Is this something I should really pay close attention to because 1) its in my first house which is the house of how you present your self in the world and 2) If my Asc is in Scorpio, that makes Pluto the ruler of my chart, correct? (did i get that right?)

Yipes.

Hi MK,

Here is something I found on Bobmarksastrologer.com

Pluto packs a punch. When it hits you, you know it. Whatever it contacts in your horoscope gets “transformed”. Pluto is death and rebirth, decay and regeneration. It is very difficult to hold on to something that Pluto is trying to take. Sometimes it is just better to let go. Pluto also rules obsession. An almost insane desire to possess a thing, or a person. The negative side of this planet is more likely to come out during the stressful aspects. The smooth aspects (trine and sextile) can strengthen whatever they touch.
Pluto is the slowest moving planet in the solar system, so its transits to the planets in your birth chart can take about two years or more to pass completely. It can take over 12 years, however, to transit through each of the houses of your horoscope. Pluto’s effect, as always, is to clean things out. Yes, things get reborn wherever Pluto goes, but they have to decay and die first. See which house in your horoscope that Pluto is transiting through to find out which area of your life needs attention. This is important because the processes of Pluto are usually hidden at first. It works something like a volcano with pressure building up for years until it explodes. One the negative side, Pluto rules the “underworld” and illegal activities. Beware of temptation to go this route when Pluto hits.

Pluto Transits Through Your First House: This starts with Pluto making a conjunction with your Ascendant (see Pluto Transits in Aspect to Your Natal Ascendant) , but the effect can last for years. Usually, you will become more assertive. This is the “Nobody better mess with me” transit. It also can bring suppressed feelings and desires up to the surface, things that you don’t want to face. Some tend to become more domineering with Pluto. Others try to suppress this, but find instead that they seem to attract people who try to push them around. Pluto transiting your first house can also make you more aware of things around you, as well as the motivations of the people with whom you come into contact. No, everything hasn’t changed. You are just more sensitive to things under a Pluto transit of your first house.

You are right: Pluto is your ruling planet, so this transit is big for you - it has already left your Ascendant and is moving through the house of Sagittarius (which may be part of your 1st house and 2nd house). I'll post the second house information as well:

Pluto Transits Through Your Second House: Watch your money and possessions, especially if transiting Pluto makes stress aspects (conjunction, square and opposition) with any of your natal planets while it is going through this house. Stressful aspects from Pluto tend to destroy things. Sure they can be built back later, but first, they have to hit bottom. Watch out, in particular, for temptation to make money by less than honest means. The Second House rules more than possessions. It also shows what you value, and this includes your sense of self-worth. This transit may not only affect your possessions, but also the very things you value. Get ready to clean house.

One other thing to look at is where your Sun resides since Pluto is squaring your natal sun right now. I believe it may be in your 10th or 11th house right? Maybe even your 9th house.

Pluto Transits in Aspect to the Natal Sun: When transiting Pluto makes a stressful aspect to your natal Sun (a conjunction, opposition, or square) the first thing you notice is that you feel very drained. I remember when this one first hit me. To be certain that it was Pluto, I called someone whom I knew had this transit a few years earlier. “Oh yes” she said. “That was the year I thought I was being pursued by demons”! Pluto is a slow moving planet, so its effects will last about two years. Little things that you would normally ignore will suddenly seem extremely significant and overwhelming. Yes, you can feel drained, sometimes very drained. But the worse this gets, the more people around you will say how wonderful you look. That’s Pluto. Makes you look great on the outside while feeling terrible inside. It’s not called the planet of extremes for nothing. I’ve also noticed that in about a third of the cases, there is an attack of insomnia. Pluto doesn’t want to be unconscious and vulnerable. So what do you do when this hits you? Take everything with that proverbial grain of salt. Just remember that it’s pretty much the same world as before the Pluto came around. It’s you that has changed. If anything gets to you, ask yourself if it would have irritated you a few years earlier. If the answer is no, then you know that it is just Pluto having some fun. Another thing you can do is to fix things up or throw them out. Pluto “energy” is great for rehabilitation or elimination. As for the insomnia, as W.C. Fields once said, the best thing is to “get plenty of sleep”. The transiting sextile and trine aspects are totally different. They can make you feel energized, stronger, less fearful. Like all “good” aspects though, they tend towards laziness. Things are going your way, so why push. But this is the best time to make that extra effort because the “good” aspects open doors for you. Take advantage of that new found energy. One more thing. Resist the sudden urge you may get to dominate others, even if “they are asking for it”. If you are normally passive, Pluto can easily bring people into your life who will try to dominate you. Or you may suddenly have the desire to be very aggressive. See if you can transmute that into assertiveness instead.

I hope this helps.

Pluto is hanging around near the end of my 4th house. I have Jupiter in Sag in the 4th, but at 0 degrees, 57 minutes, 28 seconds. I think Pluto is only aspecting one of my planets (My Venus is 25 degrees, 43 minutes, 21 seconds of Pisces). I'm not sure what effects this will have in my life. Anyone out there have any guesses?

Hi FishKitten,

What house in your Venus residing in?

Here is what I found on Pluto in the 4th (I have been dealing with this as well)

Pluto Transits Through Your Fourth House: This transit starts with Pluto crossing over the bottom of your horoscope, the Nadir. When Pluto does this, it also is opposite your Mid-Heaven, your career, so that area of your life can undergo changes as well for the one or two years that Pluto makes the exact opposition. Be careful of power struggles both at work and home, with bosses, spouses, or parents. Pluto tends to bury resentments, letting them build until they explode . After Pluto passes your Nadir, it will no longer affect career, just your home. Make sure your insurance is paid up. Pluto can break things. However, it is a great time to fix up the house, or even move. If you buy a new house during this Pluto transit, make sure it’s a fixer-upper, a place that needs work. Pluto transits are great for rehabilitation. Be extra careful, though, if the home seems to need little or no work. Pluto rules problems that lurk beneath the surface, such as bad plumbing or termite infestation.

Now, it may no necessarily mean you only - but your family unit. Since Pluto started into my 4th house, my brother, mother and now my father have all left my Native Southern California to live in other states. My "home" no longer exists in that I do not have any immediate family in Orange County nor any real ties to my "home". I am also going through the transition of moving back West - I am just trying to decide when.

Now, Pluto aspecting your natal Jupiter is as follows:

Pluto Transits in Aspect to Natal Jupiter: The stressful aspects can temporarily “kill” your optimism and “luck”. Your religious faith and the philosophy you live by can also be “killed and reborn” under a stressful transit from Pluto. Or, since Pluto rules extremes, you may tend to become a bit fanatical, believing that you have found some great truth. Even if you have, remember that it’s not polite to force it down someone’s throat. The smooth aspects (sextile and trine) regenerate your “luck” and optimism. They indicate a good time to go forward with major projects (major for you, that is) furthering education, taking long trips, or getting involved in social issues.

Here is another website for learning about transits:

Thanks Pidua! I have moved several times in the past few years (both from house to house in the same town and to different towns or cities all together) and it looks like I may have several more moves ahead in the near future. Pluto has obviously been in my 4th house for some time, because my 5th house begins at 26 18'30" of Sag. I have also been all over the place with my career (straight archaeology, museum management, writing, scriptwriting, and other stuff). I have also added to my education. I can't say I've felt a negative impact on my luck, however. More the opposite. Good things have been just kind of falling in my lap for the last few years, when I assume Pluto was even more closely aspected to my Jupiter. Maybe when Pluto changed my luck, it was for the better!

Venus is all alone in my 8th House.

Wow, pid thanks! thank you very much!

I have gone to bobmarks astro site before, but not last night while I was in the throes of Pluto research...

Pluto is going to be in my first house for awhile yet...I don't know exactly when it goes to Capricorn, but my 1st house has Scorp, Sag, and Cappie in it. I think technically its still conjunct my Neptune (gotta find out the exact degrees a conjunction is) but when it goes retro in Aug, it will still be in Sag. Yay, this is so much fun....

I started playing around with previous dates, because Natally Pluto is just barely in my 10th house, meaning that Pluto was transiting my Libra stellium in the 11th.
NO wonder my childhood was so exquisitly painful.....Pluto was stomping thru my Moon, Venus and Uranus for a looooooong time. That probably explains why I moved so much..in 2 separate years I attended 3 different schools each year...

Whew.

I understand the obsession part, also. That transit explains a few years of my life, and especially an obsessional relationship.

The good thing is, with the way my chart is, Pluto has no more planets to mess with for a looooooong time. I imagine it will take awhile for it to get to my Jupiter in Aquarius 3rd house.

Pluto is the planet of Fate, and Destiny, right? Perhaps this was the reason my childhood was horrible- it was just the destiny I choose for myself, why I choose to be born at that time.

Thank you again, pidaua

MK,

just go to www.astrowin.org

there you'll find a FREE download for astrowin. a great program that does evrything you'll ever need. very easy to use, great charts for natal vs transit vs solar arcs etc, sinastry...

try.

for me, this crazyPluto is walking all over my 10th house. it's been over my MC and the Neptune conj to it - didn't feel a thing

but I have mercury at 22 degrees, so that means that pluto will dance on my poor mercury till next year!!! right on top of my head. damn.

since merc conj neptune, my head is so fuzzy right now I can't even begin to tell you. I'm graduating masters in august - no career change YET. we'll see. I'll be a full on shrink

mercury rules my 4th so I'm guessing here: I'm leaving home?? since Uranus is over my Asc (=place), does it mean I'm changing countries or something?

neptune co-rules my 1st so there has been a change in my identity, the way I'm perceived by others: I became very scary, I think, very fish-like - they don't know what to make of me, they don't trust me anymore (heck, I DON"T - my mind's been coming-and-going lately). it's strange for a former "pillow-of-the-comunity" Capricorn Sun-venus in the 11th - Leo Saturn in the 7th. strange. can't blame them thou...

we'll see what's left of me by next year, right?

c

one more thing... don't take this the wrong way, think of it symbolically:

in Tarot, Pluto is the 13th card, DEATH.

I've been getting this card A LOT lately. go figure.

it means that one must die (let go of the past) in order to move on, to the next level, new life, etc. they say one cannot cheat death.

in therapy, one must forgive the past (let go) to heal and be alive again, leave the pain behind. beautiful, huh?
