Hello there, some say Saturn on the Midheaven, or a retrogade Saturn means an absent father or lack of father figures. This could mean a desire for father figure, or a desire for more control or authority in one's life by becoming a police officer for example.What are your Saturn aspects and how does that relate to your father and father figures? Do you see Saturn as big authority? My Saturn is retrogade in Taurus trine Midheaven, and aspects Jupiter, Pluto and Sun, which relates to an absence of father figures at birth but indicates more later on. It's true my father was sick most of the time and absent but now I am beset with father figures everywhere. Saturn is opposite Neptune so I am worried I am deluded about one. Taurus

I have a very strict Saturn in Capricorn, but in the 9th House which makes it bearable, and why I prefer educational atmosphere's for socializing.There are other factors which deal with my father being emotionally absent.  .gloria IP: Logged |

My Saturn is in Aqua, 6th House, conjunct my Sun.I also have Sat quincunx Uranus, and Sat opp Asc. I did not know until I was 29 or so that the man who had brought me up as my father was not my biological father.
Both he and my mum knew he wasnt actually my dad, and I did meet my real biological dad a couple of times but we didnt continue our relationship. What is very interesting is that I was in my Saturn Return when all this stuff came out into the open. IP: Logged |

Retro Saturn in Taurus and 8th hs, My father was/is definitely here and available, but not as a strong authority figure who sets boundaries but for the support. There is a saying that the best gift a father can give to their children is to love their mother. I wholeheartedly agree. I *do* like having control, but show me a Cap who doesn't.

Saturn in Capricorn in the 5th house. My parents broke up when I was 1 year old and I only saw my father about a dozen times in my life. He passed away 14 years ago. By then I was an adult with a 9 year old son.IP: Logged |

harsh. seems everyone has daddy issues, which sucks. i've never met my dad, or even seen a picture, my mother left him b4 i was born. i don't really know anything about him other than his name.IP: Logged |

Saturn in Gemini (approx 29 degrees), conjunct Mars, in the 10th house. Apparently Saturn in this placement is supposed to give me a "very serious" character (hee, hee)
I guess I have a replacement father figure in my husband. He gives me the intellectual feedback/mental stimulation which was lacking in the relationship I had with my father. IP: Logged |

I found this on astro.com about Mars CJ Saturn:
"The greatest danger of this aspect is the likelihood of conflict with your father or someone who plays that role for you. It is important that your father and other authority figures encourage you and support you in what you do. If they are excessively critical and tear you down, you will show the most negative sides of this aspect...This aspect often means that your fatehr has taken the position that his children, especially sons, are in competition with him and must be put down. Your father may demand that you prove yourself through very demanding trials, but then he does not acknowledge your success...(aspect confers)great discipline, concentration and ability to handle detailed work."On Saturn in the 10th House: Liz Greene, on the "Interpretations" website, actually links the 10th houe to the mother, who she feels is the dominant parent with this placement, and characterized by "stern authoritative behaviour which is lacking in warmth or empathy...(there is a) preoccupation with rules of conduct, propriety, what the neighbours think (god, yes!), emphasis on material rather than emotional values (!!!!!)". Saturn in Virgo in the 12th house,sextile Sun,mercury, and Uranus, square Venus and Neptune and conjunct AC. What does this mean.
My father wasn't really there when I was younger. He raised 5 kids on his own after my mom left. So he was never around because he was always working. Our relationship has been a rather difficult one for me emotionally. We've gone through extended periods of not speaking.IP: Logged |

Rx Leo Saturn at 29:59, 7th, opp Asc, 60 Jup, 135 Sun (and mutual recep), 45 Pluto, ruling my 11th and 12th. Dad was great but also very ill. Died when I was 7. funny thing is that rulers of 4th and 10th (parents) switched houses/signs. Ruler of 4th-Gemini is is Sagg, 10th, and Jupiter is in the 4th is Gem. Probably cos my mum had to also "be the father" for me. well, at least she thinks so  my Saturn also has a large square to my moon - meaning that I didn't appreciate her bossing me around. would've preffered her as a full time mum. oh, well... *Saturn tightly Opp 5th House Pisces Sun
*Saturn tightly Sq. 2nd House Saggie Neptune
(Yep, that's a tight Sun/Neptune/Saturn t-square.)
*Saturn Sextile 1st House Scorp Rx Uranus My father, while I have no doubt that he loved/loves me and would do anything in his power for me, is an alchoholic who gets depressive and intensely negative and derrogatory when he drinks.
Growing up, I couldn't tell when someone was drunk because my father was so often so.
The above, I think, is pretty adequately reflected in my chart with the t-square and the positioning of those involved in the t-square.
I do not know what the Saturn Sextile Uranus aspect might indicate. IP: Logged |
